Beastmen Love-Chapter 95: Had To Ask

Astri is taken to a luxurious room and Claud treats her wound, the spear had hit her thigh from the back and it went all the way to the front of her thigh. Thankfully it didn’t hit any arteries, so Claud only had to clean it and stitch it.

"I’m doing everything to not go kill that goldfish who did this!!" Lee angrily says, watching Astri in pain.

All of them are feeling a pain in their hearts watching her being stitched. Beau’s heart is hurting too, even if he’s watching from the back. Claud is trying to keep still, but his heart cries every time he looks at her body tensing with the pain. He stops a little to take some deep breaths.

"Just finish this, Claud. If it takes too long it is worse." Astri speaks.

Claud continued, but the worst part was when he stitched the back of her thigh. She hugged Zin strongly and bit her cloth in pain.

Galion was playing with the cubs outside to not watch what happened, but now that they’re inside the room with them Kai and Elias are smelling their mother’s blood and they’re worried watching their father Claud stitching her.

Yuki was looking at everything from Cyprian’s arms, but she can sense that the place is tense so she’s quiet too.

"Aren’t you finished, Claud?! Why are you taking so long?!" Lee asks, holding Astri’s hand.

"Come here in my place! Do you think it’s easy being here? Shut up if you can’t help." Claud says.

Lee bites his lips and stays quiet. He wouldn’t be able to do what Claud is doing indeed even if he knew how to do it.

When Claud is finally done, he washes it and bandages her thigh. Now that her body is not influenced by adrenaline anymore, she feels sore.

Galion and the other guards go back with Beau to bring everything they might need. After they’re settled, Beau was ordered by the Kings to make sure Astri is well provided in the castle so plenty of food is served and they got many clothes, sheets, tapestries to have a very luxurious room.

Lee enjoyed decorating the room with Zin’s help. Claud and Lee are the most elegant between them and they liked to see Astri with a high-quality decorated room. She doesn’t mind at all, but she’s grateful for everything.

Two days after their arrival, the Queen wakes up in the morning feeling very well rested and strong. She asks to go see Astri, and the Great King accompanies her to Astri’s chambers.

"Queen Deanora. I’m glad to see your beautiful face shining again." Astri smiles, sitting down from on her bed.

"No, please. I heard one of my spouses hurted you badly. Don’t stand, please." Deanora says.

Now that Deanora is fine, everyone can see she looks like a woman in her 40’s and her long blond locks are vibrant and tidily braided. Her tanned skin looks like honey.

Deanora and her King sit next to the bed. They bow deeply to Astri.

"Our Kingdom owes you our existence, Goddess of Nature." The King says.

"We will be eternally grateful for your help. And I owe you my life too, Goddess." Deanora speaks.

"It was my honor. I’m happy you’re fine and you can keep on growing your kingdom. Raise your heads, please. I’m not used to this kind of constant formality."

"Sure. Anything that will make you feel more comfortable, Your Highness." Deanora says now looking at Astri.

"You came all the way here to help us. Beau told us that you were attacked only once by a Kraken. And now the Kraken follows your command." The King says.

"Yes, King Balt. It is true." Astri answers.

"That is amazing. How did you tame such a creature?"

"Sometimes we need to put ourselves in others’ places and listen to them. We might find out things that we never imagined. Biggie is an amazing little boy." Astri tells.

"Little boy? Oh, Goddess. You’re fun." Deanora laughs.

"How is your leg, Goddess? Do you need anything else?" King Balt asks.

"No, thank you. My leg is fine and soon I’ll be healed entirely. Don’t worry. My spouses Claud and Zin are very knowledgeable about medicine."

"I apologize again for my spouses’ behavior." Deanora softly says.

"They were worried about you, Queen Deanora. How can I be mad if I would probably do the same in their places? What matters is that you’re free and healthy now."

"Can you explain what happened to me, your Highness? I remember so little.. I have memories of a cold voice talking to me and day by day I felt myself growing tired and sleepy. The last thing I remember is your voice calling me."

"When you were attacked by monsters, long ago, they got Doctor Krimm and through him the evil could get to you. Doctor Krimm was planting evil seeds in your mind and day by day nurturing it. Since your Kings obey you, they were also affected. It wasn’t their intention to exactly kill you. They wanted to corrupt your soul. However, you’re an ancient and powerful soul, and they were getting too long to make you entirely corrupted. They locked your soul and a strong monster was possessing your body to lead the Kingdom at your place."

Deanora and Balt were stunned with what they learned.

"Deanora wasn’t really like her usual self. She talked about things that didn’t make any sense. Krimm said it was due to her disease." King Balt speaks.

"You weren’t really talking to your Queen for a long time." Astri confirms.

"Is there any danger of that happening again?" Deanora asks.

"No. It won’t happen again. However, you need to keep your eyes open now. Trust your Elder when he says that someone is not trustworthy."

"He really said that Krimm wasn’t trustworthy anymore. We trusted Krimm because Deanora wanted him around." Balt says.

Astri nods, understanding.

"Thank you again, Goddess." Deanora says.

"If there’s someone you need to really thank for, it is Elder Slack, Beau and his group. Beau convinced me to come." Astri smiles.

Beau gets impressed with Astri’s words. King Balt and Queen Deanora look at him smiling too.

"I’ll make sure they’re rewarded accordingly." King Balt says.

"I only accomplished my duties, my King and Queen." Beau bows.

"And you did greatly as usual, Captain Beau."

"Queen Deanora, may I speak with you in private?" Astri asks.

"Sure, your highness!" Deanora answers.

Everyone leaves, including Astri’s spouses. When it’s only Deanora and Astri, Deanora is looking at Astri, curious to know what she wants to ask her.

"Queen Deanora... I’m sorry, but I have to ask." Astri says.

Deanora nods waiting for the question.

"How can you have so many spouses? They don’t fight? Teach me what you do to keep them in peace." Astri asks with a real curious face, making Deanora giggles.

"Well, they fight a lot, but I don’t care." Deanora answers.

"Really? Must be chaotic then."

"I don’t actually care if they fight. It shows me they still like me. Right? When they’re disturbing too much, I just send them away. Don’t you do the same? They fight in their room. I stay in my room and I mate only when I want. This way they’re always obedient."

"Oh dear Nature.. And here I thought she could be a little different. Well, she does what she needs to live without stress." Astri thinks.

"All your males are very strong. I didn’t count. How many do you have?" Deanora asks.

"5."

"Only 5?! You need more! You need more protection. I thought that all of those land beastmen were you spouses." Deanora says shocked.

Astri giggles and denies with her hand.

"No. I think I can’t handle as many as you have. I admire you. I’m satisfied with just a few. As for protection, I have plenty of guards too. And a Kraken in the ocean." Astri says.

"But spouses are always the best to protect us, dear. Because their lives are ours. They fear losing us because they fear their own deaths."

"It is true. But I have a different perspective of what a relationship is between mates." Astri softly answers.

"Perspective?"

Astri explains what perspective is and what she thinks about a spousal relationship and what it means for her. Deanora listened carefully and even started to understand Astri’s perspective.

"That is actually amazing. I believe you’re right. My children grew faster and stronger while they were kids and had my love as a mother. The same will happen if I show as much care and love for my spouses." Deanora says and smiles. "Thank you for bringing me your perspective." ƒгeewёbnovel.com

Astri smiles and holds Deanora’s hands.

"I feel we can become good friends. That’s rare for females. I’m happy!"

Deanora smiles too and nods. When Astri’s spouses come back, they look at her with curiosity to know what she was talking about with Deanora, who left with a smile on her face, but they don’t ask.

At night, Astri and Claud meditate to go check on Tyr. Tyr was reading in his bedroom and he’s delighted to hear Astri’s voice again.

She tells him everything that happened and he’s angry with the Kings of Aquaterra. However, he understands their side too because he would do the same to protect Astri.
