Beastmen Love-Chapter 37: Monsters

"What are you sensing?" She asks as he slithers fast.

"Danger. It feels like there are many monsters lurking this way." He answers.

Astri remembers that monsters attacked her and Dieg, now she fears losing another one of her mates.

Zin arrives at the castle again and finds Wayde.

"I think that there are monsters lurking around. A lot. Where are Lee and Cyprian?" Zin says to Wayde.

Wayde turns more than serious. He roars loudly to call Lee and Cyprian, and most of the beatmen around.

Lee and Cyprian come, and after being notified, they go with more feather beastmen to check who is invading.

Other beastmen go on land and some others go to Shung to warn him.

Wayde and Zin stay together to protect Astri, and she’s very worried about Lee and Cyprian. She’s anxious and trying to calm down her heart.

"They’re going to be fine. Don’t be too worried. They’re strong." Zin tries to calm her down.

She smiles weakly.

"I know. I just worry."

"They will be fine. Sensing Cyprian probably made the monsters flee. Let’s go back home." Wayde says, rubbing her head.

Wayde shifts and then Astri rides on him and they start going back home. Zin flicks his tongue as they walk and he stops Wayde.

"There are monsters near our cabin." Zin speaks.

Wayde and Zin look at each other, then they decide to go back to the castle.

"Why are there so many monsters around here? It looks like a huge group of them." Astri asks.

"Sometimes they gather forces to be capable of invading bigger tribes." Zin says.

When they’re back to where the castle is being built, they decide where to go after Zin senses around.

"We need to go far from both tribes. They’re everywhere and coming closer." Zin speaks. Wayde growls in response. "I know, it’s risky."

They hear howls and roars announcing the invasion. Zin and Wayde have their attention in all directions.

"We need to go. They’re coming this way too and fast. We can be surrounded here." Zin says.

They rush to the direction Zin said has less monsters. Astri holds onto Wayde and she feels the wind saying that they’re going in the right direction, but the danger is still there.

As they ran, Zin defeated some monsters and Wayde too.

A monster wolf howls loudly before Zin could kill it.

"They’re just scouting. Now more will come this way." Zin says and throws the dead wolf away.

Wayde roars loudly to call for Lee and Cyprian too.

Cyprian and Lee were attacking monsters that were invading the front of the villages. Being strong as they are, it’s not a hard task even if there’s a lot of monsters.

"Where did all these monsters come from?" Lee asks.

"For this number, they must have sensed Astri’s energy." Cyprian answers.

"There are many here in the front of the villages.. They just want to call our attention." Lee is now worried about Astri.

When they decided to go check on Astri, Cyprian and Lee heard Wayde and then flew to the direction they heard, worried that something might have happened to Astri.

Zin and Wayde are being hunted by snake monsters. Zin knows how to defeat them, but he needs to keep the snakes away from Wayde and Astri so he needs to be faster.

Wayde sees an opening and runs away from the monsters, when Wayde arrives at an opening.

He sees Cyprian in the sky and roars to call him.

Cyprian descends and then takes Astri on his arms. Zin arrives and breathes more relaxed to see Astri in the sky, apparently there are only land monsters, but it looks like many of them are aiming their way.

Lee helps Zin and Wayde, but there are so many and Zin and Wayde end up surrounded.

Astri’s heart is pounding fast, she’s so worried and afraid of losing Wayde and Zin.

"Lee! Hold Astri!" Cyprian says loudly.

Lee flies to them and takes Astri. Cyprian spits fire on many snakes and then slash many others.

Astri’s waist starts burning and right away she looks after Zin, he has some monster wolves on him and Wayde is attacking them too.

"Zin!!" She cries.

Some wolves are biting Zin’s long body to keep him in place. Zin shifts and half-shifts back and forth to be capable of removing the wolves from him.

Astri sees a big black tiger and it takes all of Wayde’s attention. Cyprian flies to help Zin, but when she sees a wolf almost getting Zin’s throat, her heart couldn’t hold anymore.

"ZIN! NO!!" She cries jumping from Lee’s arms.

"ASTRI!!" Lee goes after her.

Mid-air her body starts shining bright, making a wind push Lee a little. Lee fought against the wind, but then the light in front of him made him go blind for a second being too close to it.

The ball of light passes fast pushing the wolves away from Zin.

The light dissipates slowly, a strong wind hits on the black tiger fighting Wayde, pushing it far and hitting it on a tree.

Everyone hears the sound of a horse neighing. novelbuddy.cσ๓

That’s when a big white horse, three times bigger than normal, with a light red long horn on its forehead appears.

It had wide wings and every movement of them could swing a strong gust.

"She shifted.." Cyprian speaks, smiling.

The monsters growled at her, and then her eyes started shining and everyone heard thunder.

Many lightning hits on the monsters, killing many at the same time.

A snake could get closer to her, but she lifted its front legs and spit fire on the snake that was trying to bite her legs.

She flaps her wings and makes the monsters fight to not be thrown away with the strong wind, then they’re hit with more lightning.

Cyprian flies quickly and finishes off the remaining monsters around them.

Astri runs, galloping, to her mates Wayde and Zin. Lower her face to them like checking if they’re fine.

"Astri.." They are amazed.

She sees Lee and Cyprian landing near them and sighs relaxed.

They’re amazed with her beauty, her long manes glistening with the sunlight.

"I’m glad you’re fine.." They can hear her in their minds.

Before they got impressed with that, they noticed her legs trembling.

She falls slowly and closes her eyes.

She shifts and when they rush to her, they see Astri laid on the ground naked.

Wayde and Zin are the first ones to get to her, they see something red on her back and they move her hair.

Cyprian and Lee arrive and all of them see her beast mark on her back.

A big horse with wings and a horn takes all of her back, and it has the three other marks of a tiger, eagle and snake around.

"Take her home. We will make sure no monsters leave alive. We can’t risk letting none of them knowing about her and spreading the word." Cyrpian speaks. They nod, then Lee and Cyprian fly away.

Astri had finished practically all of the monsters, so Wayde and Zin could go home quickly.

Zin has many flesh wounds around his body, but he doesn’t care about them and ignores the pain.

Wayde lays her on the bed and covers her, she’s still unconscious.

"The monsters were after her. Why such an army of monsters around here?" Wayde speaks.

"It was too many. I never saw so many in one place. Looked like ants." Zin says, cleaning his wounds.

Wayde cleans Astri and he’s still amazed that his little female shifted to a big beast like that and killed so many monsters.

Wayde and Zin are at the windows, sensing if there’s anyone around. Guarding until Cyprian and Lee were back.

"How is she? Why is she not awake yet?" Lee asks, worried and rushing to Astri’s side.

"She must have used more energy than she was capable of. She’s just tired." Cyprian speaks.

"What is she, Cyprian? I never saw a beast like her." Wayde asks.

Cyprian sighs and looks at the unconscious Astri. From nowhere they hear a voice in their minds.

"She’s a Pegasus."
