Beastmen Love-Chapter 202: Sad Reality
Chapter 202: Sad Reality
Kenzou is unsure if what Astri said is entirely true, but he could see the Sacred Tree reacted to her, so she must be someone special, and he feels he needs to help her. He takes some of his savings, then goes out to buy her some proper clothes.
"Don’t leave this place. I’ll go to the merchant area and buy you some clothes. I’ll be right back." He tells her.
She nods and thanks him again.
Looking nowhere specific, trying to find a way to have a ship. She doesn’t know which continent she is on and how far she’s from the Beast Kingdom she lives in. She can see that their costumes are different just by the way Kenzou dresses. She needs to find a way to have money to get herself a boat or something, and prepare herself to stay months or worse in that boat.
When she asks herself if Nature would help her in the open sea, she feels the wind telling her yes with a warm embrace.
She knows everything will be all right, but she’s worried about her children and spouses. Her spouses must be so worried or suffering so much.
She opens the clothes and tries to check her spousal marks; she can’t see all, but she can see some, and that calmed her heart a little. She can see that all marks, including hers, its faded, not as red as before.
She sighs, and the tears start falling again after remembering her children. She’s worried about Aurora, who was still dependent on her breastfeeding. So many anxious thoughts pass through her mind, but then she decides to stop thinking too much.
She looks around again and tries to find something to do. Kenzou left her several fish, fruit, and a bag of something for her to eat. The fish was raw, so she takes a fruit and gives a good bite. While she was chewing on the fruit, she opened the bag and almost choked in surprise.
"Rice!!!!" She says, hugging the bag and laughing.
She looks around, trying to check if Kenzou has a kitchen or something similar to a kitchen. She finds something like a square fire pit made of rocks, and a huge pot over it.
"This is not for cooking. It’s too deep and large. Only if Kenzou eats a lot, but I’m not seeing anyone else here. Is this a bathtub?"
She shrugs her shoulders. She finds several Bambu cut in half. She takes some and fills it with rice and water.
After gathering firewood, she decides to try her powers, but only a little sparkle comes out of her hand. At least it was enough to start the fire.
She looks for salt but doesn’t find it, but she’s happy enough to have rice and fish. She finds some nuts, so she breaks them into tiny pieces and puts them to cook with the rice.
Then she waits for the food to cook.
Kenzou walked to a merchant street and then got inside a clothing store. He picks some female clothes, getting the best ones in the store.
"Did you find a female you got interested in, Lord Kenzou? These are the best kimonos I have here." The merchant asks, with a smile.
Kenzou remembers what Astri said about people shouldn’t know about her for now, so he smiles softly.
"I think so." He answers.
"Nice! I hope you will win her heart with these gifts. Take these hairpins, too! She will love it."
Kenzou gives an awkward laugh and buys the hairpins, too. He also buys a little pouch of salt, then goes back to the shrine. When he’s walking up to hill, he sees a little smoke on the sky and he starts running, worried that other males have already found her and are trying to court her or something.
When he arrives, he’s impressed to see what she did. She had put the fish to grill and the rice in bamboos on the fire. He looks at all that, confused.
"Did you do all this?" Kenzou asks her.
"Yes. I didn’t know if that thing was made for cooking, so I did it this way." She says, pointing to the bathtub-like object that was on the fireplace.
"Cooking?" He asks, still confused.
"You don’t cook? Why do you use fire?" She asks.
"For boiling water to remove silk threads from the silkworm."
"Oh.. You eat rice raw?" She asks, pointing to the rice.
"Yes. What is cooking food?" He asks.
"Come, let me show you." She chuckles.
She teaches him about cooking and why to do that. She took the chance to sprinkle the salt he brought on the food, and then gave him some to try, and his eyes were amazed at how good that tasted.
While they had dinner, she took the opportunity to learn from him about that continent. Females are selfish as usual, but males are not as stupid either, so the males are not bad to them, at least not constantly. People’s spirituality is more evolved there, and they know the importance of Nature, and several males are priests over there. There’s an Emperor of that continent and several land lords called shoguns.
In the modern era, it wasn’t a good era in history, but in Beast World, they look very peaceful. For Kenzou being capable of raising a shrine whose energies are so pure and good, it’s because people are not so corruptible.
She also learned that salt is a very rare product over there because mermen take a very long time to visit that area. She’s impressed that in the matter of organization of the cities, economics, culture, and technology, they’re very evolved. However, there are things that they still need to evolve, like cooking and reading.
"I need a ship or a boat. I have no gems for that. But I know a way for me to win money enough to buy a boat." She says.
"I can give you my gems. I work here as protector of the Spirit Tree and Spirit Garden, but also removing silk to send to tailors to make kimono."
"It’s yours, Kenzou. You’re already helping me a lot by letting me stay here. Besides, a ship or boat is not cheap. You might need it in the future." She says.
"I live only for today. And today, I’m your protector."
His energy is very reliable, she can’t deny that. She has a nostalgic feeling when she looks at him.
"Please, these are for you. I hope you like them. I can go find better ones if you don’t." Kenzou says, giving the packages of kimonos.
She opens one and gasps in amazement, then the other ones she has the same reaction.
"Kenzou! These are so beautiful!! I always wanted to dress like this. Are you sure you want to give me this?"
"Of course. You’re a Goddess. You need to dress properly. I’m glad you like it." He smiles.
She sees the hairpins and finds a black and white one. She smiles sadly, thinking it would be perfect for Yuki’s head.
"May I save this for my daughter? I’m sure this will be beautiful on her." She asks.
"Sure. You have a daughter?"
"Two. A tigress and an eagle. And five boys. Two tigers, one unicorn, one eagle, and one adoptive rabbit."
"How amazing.. You look like a good mother." He says.
"Thank you.. I try to be.. Well, I’m not sure if I’ll know how to dress this, but I’ll try. I would like to bathe or clean myself first, though."
He brings her to the river behind the shrine, then tells him to wait inside the shrine because she’s not a female who shows her naked body easily. She doesn’t feel well doing that, and he’s impressed with her values.
After drying herself, she dresses the way she believes she is supposed to dress. When she looks at herself dressed, she feels beautiful and squeals happily a little because when she lived in the Human World, she wished to live in the countryside of Japan.
She walks back to the shrine, and he’s impressed with her beauty in the white and light pink kimono. The kimono is long, covering her feet, and the belt is yellow with pink and light yellow details of flowers.
She didn’t dress it correctly, but she already looks beautiful in it.
"May I help you dress it properly? I promise I won’t look at your body." Kenzou asks.
He helps her fix the kimono and tells her how to dress it. She’s in love with the way she looks, then thanks Kenzou over and over again. He’s happy that she’s happy, and also happy that, as a Goddess, she is so easy to please.
"Well, normally females wear opening more on the top to show more of their skin, and also on the legs, but I think this is the way that will protect you more." Kenzou says.
"Thank you. I prefer this way, too."
She watches the sunset while he’s preparing her bed, it’s basically a bed that she had in her castle, but not as big.
"I have an idea, Kenzou. A way to get a ship faster, but I’ll need help." She says.
