Beastmen Love-Chapter 160: Time To Travel

Xzan slowly gets closer to have a better look and stops near Galion.

"She feels so powerful and at the same time so peaceful to be close." Xzan says, looking at Astri with amazed eyes feeling in love with he’s seeing.

Galion notices the other eyes hidden from the side of the castle and then growls making them run away.

"Her identity is not a secret anymore. Why no one can see her?" Xzan asks.

"So they don’t have the wrong ideas. They’re here to protect her, and the cubs, not to be her spouses. You’re lucky because her spouses accepted you and that’s why you can stay." Galion answers.

"Oh.. I think it’s better to not let her be seen indeed. Enough of males."

Galion rolls his eyes, not responding.

"How can you not be attracted to her? She’s amazing."

"I had a female once and I survived the backlash. I can’t see myself with anyone else. And I see Astri as my sister."

"Oh.. I’m sorry."

"No problem. It’s been a long time."

Xzan didn’t know Galion had a female before. He can’t imagine the pain he went through.

After spending time with everyone, Astri turns back to her human form. She walks to Kangki and passes her hand on his mane. She smiles, looking at his eyes, reassuring him that his beast form is welcome there and that she loves him the way he is. Yuki climbs him and lies on his back, hugging him, passing her arms on his mind with a relieved sigh.

"Fawther Kank has a soft mane like fawther Tyr." Yuki says.

Kangki looks down too and sees Atlas holding onto his side, examining his mane too with his little fingers. Kangki looks at Astri and rubs his snout on her face slowly.

"Thank you. If it wasn’t for you I would never have this feeling." He says to her.

"Thank you, too."

On that same day, Astri went to check the platform’s construction with Dieg, Zin, Beau, and her children. She was impressed that they followed the directives very well. The only thing she wasn’t expecting was a big seat, like a throne, that they built and are carving beautiful ornaments on.

"What is that seat?" She asks pointing to the seat.

"They’re building it for you. There will be several duels, so they want you to watch and not get tired." Dieg answers, smiling proudly that his female is seen as a Queen.

"Oh, that’s so sweet." She says, walking to the seat and looking at the flower ornaments they’re drawing.

It’s very rustic, but she thinks it’s amazing they’re doing so much to impress her.

"That’s beautiful. Thank you for the kindness." She says to the male who is carving the wood.

He smiles shyly and blushing, happy that she noticed him. She looks to all of them and says that they’re doing a great job and can’t wait to watch the tournament. Her words made them more excited to work and make something even better.

"We will take a little long to come back. So don’t forget to train and do your chores too. Don’t need to finish this so fast. All right?" She reminds them, but that doesn’t make them stop working harder.

She chuckles denying with her head, hoping females don’t take that as a chance to say she’s taking advantage of the males.

On the next day, since there will be several people traveling, they prepared three big carriages and Tyr’s old litter, which was changed into a carriage to be easier and faster to use. Having so many people and carriages, they had to gather in the backyard in a line.

Xzan, Dante, Shung, Fraz, and Yank are watching them getting ready. Fraz and Shung hug their grandchildren very much already missing them. Astri hugs them too.

"You take care. Let your males protect you. Avoid danger." Fraz tells Astri.

"Sure. Don’t worry. We will be back as soon as possible." Astri says.

"You better come back soon. We all need you." Shung speaks.

"I trust all of you will keep the balance here. The best of leaders are here and I’m sure you won’t have a hard time. If you need help, you know how to call me." She says, looking at Shung, Yank, Xzan and Dante.

Only Shung nods, the others are left confused. Astri smiles at their confusion.

"How can we find you?" Xzan asks.

"Simply call for her." Shung answers.

"But not just for hearing her voice or something. She uses her energy to get in touch with someone that is far away. Call her only if it’s very necessary." Claud warns Dante and Xzan.

Xzan and Dante smile a bit guilty because they were thinking of calling her only to hear her voice indeed.

"Be careful out there. This place has a Queen, and without her, it’s not as beautiful." Xzan says to Astri.

Astri’s spouses rolled their eyes, but in silence, since they had agreed they wouldn’t stop Xzan.

"You’re a sweet talker, I can see. Thank you."

"You like sweet talkers?" Dante asks, worried, because he’s not as good as Xzan.

"It’s not a must. Every male has his own good side."

Astri looks at Yank.

"You help everyone and don’t forget to keep studying. Also, if you have the time please make copies of those documents I created." She says to him.

"Yes, master." He nods.

"Good. Well, time to go. Is everyone ready?"

Claud and Kangki work together to create a bigger portal. They’re training to have stronger energies, and also with the objective Astri doesn’t have to use her own energy. Together they create a wide portal and Galion leads everyone to walk through it as fast as possible. Astri stays to go last and makes sure Claud and Kangki won’t need her help.

After everyone went through the portal, Astri, Claud and Kangki walked through it too. Astri waves to the ones who will stay and they watch the portal close all at once.

"Stay safe. Everyone." Fraz says, emotional.

Shung and Fraz already lost Dieg once and they can’t deny they fear losing him again. However, they’re proud parents for having a powerful Guardian of Nature as a son.

"Are you two all right?" Astri asks Claud and Kangki.

"Yes." They answer in unison, but she can clearly see that they got worn out a little.

She doesn’t pass her energy to them so they don’t feel embarrassed, only smiling in response. They smile back grateful that she didn’t waste her energy and trusted them.

Walking to the carriage where her children are, she finds Galion and points the direction they should go.

"Remember. We’re merchants and lost our ship. We will walk for four days until we arrive at the village of the leader we should help. Don’t be afraid if someone sees us, it’s good for us that they know who we are before we arrive." Astri says.

After everyone nodded in response, she went inside with Kangki and Claud.

"Mom, can we go with father?" Elias asks.

When Elias and Kai don’t say the name of the father it always means their biological father.

"Of course, sweetheart. Be careful and do as he says." Astri answers.

Elias and Kai are in a phase they want to show they’re stronger than they really are, so they are often hunting more with their parents and learning more ways of doing chores. Astri is proud of them and lets them do what they want, but never let them cross the line and try being adults before time.

"Do you want to go outside too, Hopin? You can go if you want." Astri asks.

Hopin knows that being a rabbit calls attention to predators, but he decides to not think this way. There are several strong beastmen with them and his presence shouldn’t bring danger to his mother and brothers. Besides, he promised himself he would be stronger even being a rabbit. He jumps outside and follows his brothers outside.

At night, they set up a camp to eat and sleep next to a forest. Astri helps her children draw on the stars before they sleep. The weather was not cold, so they didn’t have to set a tent. On the next day, after several hours of walk, Yuki looks after her favorite teddy bear that Astri made for her and does not find it anywhere.

"What is it, sweetie?" Astri asks.

"Peggy.. I’m not finding her! Where’s Peggy?" Yuki asks, already starting to cry.

"Let me check your bag."

Astri looks after the doll but does not find it. Yuki starts to cry loudly, so sad for losing her favorite toy, killing everyone’s hearts that are listening.

"I’ll go back and try to find the doll, all right, sweetheart? Don’t cry, please." Lee says to Yuki from outside.

"Pwomise?" Yuki asks, trying to stop crying.

"Of course! I’ll go now!" Lee says.

"I’ll go with Lee and we will try to find it. Four eyes are better than two." Cyprian says, also trying to calm her down.

"But what if you don’t find it?" Yuki asks.

"I can make a new one, sweetheart. Don’t worry. I know you love Peggy, but I’ll do my best to make her just like her." Astri answers.

Yuki nods, calming down slowly, but still sad. Lee and Cyprian fly away. Searching for comfort, Yuki hugs Astri and when she’s almost asleep they hear a commotion outside.
