Beastmaster of the Ages-Chapter 3574 - Acting Tough
Chapter 3574 - Acting Tough
Finally, Tianming had managed to regain his composure. He turned to the divine servant once more and activated his own divine wonder.
"Huh?" He immediately noticed a pink-haired woman appear behind the female divine servant, slashing down with a frost-covered cosmic artifact. The slash unleashed a world of unending frost on the divine servant, forming countless sword projections that pierced into her body, breaking it apart more thoroughly than the male divine servant had been thanks to Tianming’s frenzied sword strikes. Just like that, the divine servant disappeared just as quickly as they had appeared.
"Auntie—"
Before he could finish speaking, Jiguang flew over and hugged him with her eyes red and teary. "Tianming, are you injured? Where does it hurt?"
"I'm fine... I'm fine! If you don't let go, I'll suffocate! My lungs are being pressed against something!" Tianming's face grew pale from being squeezed too hard.
"You're still acting tough at a time like this...." Jiguang looked at him with a frustrated smile. The fact that he could still say that proved he was fine.
The first thing she had seen was Tianming slamming into the ground after getting punched. The sight alone completely tore her up. She felt like a mother who had witnessed their child fall off a building tens of stories tall. Even though Tianming wasn't her son, she certainly felt like his mother would in that situation and wanted nothing more than to keep him protected by her side at all times.
"It's great that you're fine...." She breathed a sigh of relief. Without dangerous situations like this, she would never have realized that she already saw his life as more important than her own.
Tianming had almost completely finished recovering as well. He quickly picked up the shattered remnants of the divine servant. It appeared that they really had enhanced their body with top-tier divine wonders. Tianming couldn't possibly imagine how tough Moran would get if she absorbed the divine wonder of a being that could punch him so hard.
"Why’re you gathering all that?" Jiguang asked with a doubtful look.
"It's really useful," Tianming said with a mischievous laugh.
"There you go, acting all mysterious again...."
"Let's go back to Godservant Hall."
Everyone there was shocked at seeing Tianming being sent flying so far with a punch. The path he had left in his wake could be made into a huge river.
"Tianming, do you know what that is?" Jiguang asked, still worried.
"It's a divine servant of the wonderians. Maybe its arrival has something to do with the Blissful Union entering Skydome," Tianming explained.
As they had researched a bit about the wonderian situation, Jiguang furrowed her brows with worry. "Maybe they sent it here as a scout...."
"It's all fine now. With it dead, it probably can't bring any information back. If more wonderians come, we'll just retreat to Infinitum. At the very least, their presence in Skydome would probably prevent Myriadpath Valley from slaughtering the wonderians here, right? They’re subjects of the core wonderians, after all, not mine."
"That's true!"
Soon, they reached Godservant Hall, where Fengqing Youmeng had been waiting. The wonderians who had been nearby had fled in terror; they didn't even dare to ponder the implications of Tianming being able to fight toe-to-toe with a divine servant.
"Either way, though, I don't wish to see the wonderians meddling in affairs here," Tianming said. There were simply too many unpredictable variables when it came to wonderians. Nobody knew how powerful their core faction was. If they meant serious business, Tianming would be in for a lot of trouble.
Putting aside whether or not he would still be able to conquer Myriadpath Valley and take the transfer formation for himself to secure a path to the Xenoabyss, he probably wouldn't even be able to ensure the safety of Infinitum.
He really wanted to go to the Xenoabyss to deal with his sixth lifebound beast and look for Lingfeng and Qingyu. But if he went there, he wouldn't be able to keep Infinitum safe. If he ended up stuck there, he wouldn't even know if his own people in Infinitum were being slaughtered, so he couldn't afford to leave.
He had to deal with all possible threats that existed in the astralscape of order before he could depart without regrets. Qingyu and Lingfeng were important to him, and he also badly wanted to go to the Upper Star Ruin. However, he couldn't just abandon his friends and family before creating a safe, worry-free place for them to live.
That was why he was really wary of the divine servant and any future threat they represented, and chose to fight without a second thought.
Godservant Hall was built in Wondrium countless years ago, only to be reduced to rubble by Tianming's sword. Even then, Tianming was still worried. He made sure to dig three feet into the ground, making sure that any formation buried underneath was thoroughly destroyed. Only then did he feel some relief.
"They won't send another divine servant, would they? If the core wonderians have any other tricks up their sleeves, there wouldn't be anything I could do to prevent it...." freewēbnoveℓ.com
He really couldn't figure out how the divine servant had arrived. There wasn't anything like the Myriadpath Celestial Formation here. It would be obvious, since a stareye for a formation of that scale needed to be powered by ten skypiercer-class worlds! How had the wonderians sent a servant so powerful to Godservant Hall in an instant?
Did they do it through the Xenoworld? Wasn't there a hard limit on how far one could use the Xenoworld to travel? Fengqing Youmeng and the rest had only been able to travel between Infinitum and Skydome. If they went too far, they might not ever find their way back. Even though distance didn't exist as a concept in a Xenoworld, it was still possible to get lost.
Destroying Godservant Hall was the only thing he could do for now.
"Godservant Hall... the legacy of my people...." Fengqing Youmeng teared up at the sight of the sacred building of her childhood being reduced to nothing.
"Do you worship me or the core faction of your race?" Tianming asked, giving her head a knock.
"Ouch!" She glared at him and said, "I was leaning in the direction of worshiping you, but I think I'll turn to my core faction instead since you hit me."
"Haha." Tianming didn't even care. He stayed there for a while longer, seemingly having nothing better to do.
Jiguang said, "I'll go back to the stareye. Sister Xiyue’s been watching it for quite a while now, so I'll take her place and let her rest."
"Okay!" Tianming nodded. Fengqing Youmeng took Jiguang with her, leaving Tianming alone in the ruined Godservant Hall.
When Fengqing Youmeng comes back, I'll have her go to Infinitum and bring Little Fish to me, he thought. The divine servant didn't seem to have come through a xenogate. How’d it arrive here?
It simply didn't make sense no matter how much he thought about it. Either way, whether it was through the wormhole expressway or a transfer formation, large amounts of nova source had to be expended to transport anyone across such vast distances. How in the world had a single building like Godservant Hall achieved that feat?
I'll leave the matter on hold for now. The two divine wonders of this divine servant might be fortuna class, like my grand lexicon wonder. It should be much more powerful than the infinitum-class wonders Little Fish took from Meng Ying.
