Suishen Jiguang managing to achieve the major zenith within a few short decades following her minor-zenith breakthrough had completely shattered Suishen Ranxing's common sense about cultivation.

She shook her head and glared at her brother, and then back to her father. "Dad! The fact that the two of you showed up here and cleared everyone else away means that you've accepted that he tried to kill his own wife, right?!"

The old patriarch didn't know what to say to that. He exchanged glances with Suishen Xiyue and saw complete disappointment in her expression. That was going to be trouble. No matter how hard he had planned, he’d never counted on his daughter reaching the major zenith so soon, which in turn raised her status in House Suishen and gave her a lot of sway. It went without question that she would stand on Suishen Xiyue's side.

"Jiguang—"

Before the old patriarch could say anything, Suishen Xiyue interrupted in a disappointed and sardonic tone, "I thought we’d be welcomed by our house after surviving impossible odds and returning.... I’d thought our children would be greeting us with tearful joy, yet all we were met with was a fatal attack by my so-called husband! "This is such a fucking joke!" Even with Suishen Jiguang's good temperament, she found herself so angry that she couldn't say anything else. She greatly pitied Suishen Xiyue, sympathizing with how she felt over being betrayed by her husband and almost killed. Even after surviving the attempt, as well as everything that followed, her husband had come to kill her once again. It would be considered contrived even for the most satirical of tragedies.

She looked at her sister-in-law and didn't see any tears. Any that she had shed would have long dried out from all the torture she’d endured in the Yin-Yang World. Suishen Xiyue had seen through everything long ago and didn't feel sad anymore. All that was left was blood, flame, and endless vengeance!

The old patriarch paused for a long moment before deeply sighing, unable to say a single word.

"Enough!" Suishen Ranxing yelled at the two women. "Suishen Jiguang, don't give Dad any trouble. I was the one who decided everything. He was our father and it was hard on him as well. It's amazing that you've reached the major zenith, but only take it out on me. I'm not afraid."

He then coldly looked at Suishen Xiyue and said, "As for you, there's nothing left to be said. I can only be free of a woman like you after killing you. I don't care whether or not you're still alive. Everytime I see you, I'll kill you. What can you do about it?"

"Shut up!" Suishen Jiguang was fuming with rage. How could there be someone so ridiculous?! People who had shared wedding vows were supposed to be loyal for life! How could someone even contemplate killing the mother of his children after all those years? How selfish could one possibly be?

"Suishen Ranxing, you're more pathetic than animals!" Suishen Jiguang's eyes were bloodshot. She mobilized her cosmoforce and was just about to manifest her aurora nymphs.

"Sister Jiguang!" Suishen Xiyue pulled on her arm as her rage peaked, and she whispered, "It's good that you've finally seen the truth, but don't get mad. If you get angry, you lose."

She turned to her husband and said, "I have to thank you for being cruel to the point that you've shattered any lingering hope I have. If I’d seen you kneel before me and beg for forgiveness, I would've relented on account of our children, like before."

"How laughable.... You only dare to act like this because of Jiguang! I’ll stand here and remain in your way. Let's see what you can do about it!" Suishen Ranxing roared. The moment he finished, a flaming crimson figure rapidly and savagely appeared before him!

Before he could react, a burst of flames turned into redlotus flaregods and shattered the cosmoforce around him, slapping him with the force of millions of volcanic explosions. Half of Suishen Ranxing's face exploded, scattering astral blood all over the place and vaporizing many astrons!

With a painful cry, he slammed into the ground and rolled from the momentum of the strike until he fell completely out of the Myriadpath Celestial Formation. The raging slap was so loud that it echoed nonstop.
