Si Yan awoke with a start, opening her eyes to see Qiu Mei staring at her with eager anticipation.

She was so startled that she immediately sat up.

Qiu Mei was beaming, her smile exceptionally peculiar.

Rubbing her head, Si Yan asked, "How did you get here?"

She seemed to have accidentally drunk too much last night. She’d gotten drunk, and now her head ached. Her memories from last night seemed to have cut off after Cat You and the little wolf had touched the Lovesickness Stone. She couldn’t remember anything at all.

Qiu Mei silently sidled up to Si Yan and nudged her with her elbow.

Si Yan was speechless again.

Qiu Mei said, "Okay, okay, you two must have things to discuss. I won’t disturb you. I’ll head out."

With that, Qiu Mei hastily left the cave.

Wang smiled. "Shall we go out and see?"

Si Yan and Wang walked out of the cave. Qiu Mei and the two cubs were not far away.

Seeing the two emerge so quickly and noticing the atmosphere between them was unchanged, Qiu Mei knew they probably hadn’t discussed anything significant.

Sigh. The little wolf and Tai Seng had to argue at the worst possible time.

When Wu Xie and Wu Yang saw Si Yan was awake, the two little ones quickly ran over.

Wu Xie chirped, "Big Sister, good morning!"

Si Yan asked, "Wu Xie, do you know what happened?"

Wu Xie nodded. "Wu Xie knows! The little wolf and Uncle Tai Seng had an argument."

Si Yan was puzzled.

Wu Xie explained, "Uncle Tai Seng told the little wolf he planned to go home and asked if the little wolf wanted to go back with him. The little wolf got angry, saying he wanted to travel throughout the Beast World and not stay in one place. Then the little wolf said some harsh things; he asked Uncle Tai Seng why he, a Golden Crystal Beastman, was willing to be a Guardian Beast. All in all, they argued quite fiercely."

Wu Yang added, "Actually, I think the little wolf truly admires Uncle Tai Seng, so he can’t accept Uncle Tai Seng willingly becoming a Guardian Beast."

Si Yan looked towards Tai Seng and the little wolf. "It’s Tai Seng’s personal decision to want to go home. The little wolf has no right to interfere."

Both cubs nodded in agreement.

Si Yan felt a little worried.

Wang stroked her head and said softly, "Yan Yan, don’t worry. This little fellow, the little wolf, is quite unusual."

Si Yan looked up, asking, "What do you mean?"

Wang replied, "He was gravely injured, and Cat You appeared to save him. He wanted to grow stronger, and he met Tai Seng."

Wang said, "That depends on his own choices. He and Cat You haven’t truly begun anything. If he leaves the Green Sand Tribe now, their destinies are unlikely to intersect. However, if he chooses to stay in the Green Sand Tribe, things between him and Cat You might turn out differently."

Si Yan stated, "He won’t stay in the Green Sand Tribe."

Wang affirmed, "Mm."

So, were Cat You and the little wolf truly destined to have no future together?
