And so, Xu Chi, still holding Si Shuo, calmly walked right past them.

Even though Si Shuo knew Xu Chi could turn them invisible, her heart was pounding. If his Invisibility Ability didn’t also conceal their presence and muffle sound, she would have been detected despite being hidden from sight!

She clung tightly to Xu Chi. ’This is so thrilling!’ He had even learned some bad habits, stealing a couple of kisses that made her heart race so fast she felt she could die on the spot...

Stepping into the smaller Beast Skin Bag, they saw Beastmen with formidable Combat Power hidden in several corners, with another two patrolling the center, all to prevent the slightest mishap.

The various items and Beastmen up for auction were sorted and displayed by category. Sure enough, as Si Shuo and Xu Chi made a circuit of the room, they spotted Xiao Shisi, who had returned to her original form!

Si Shuo gently tapped Xu Chi, signaling him to find a closer spot where they could observe.

Xu Chi carried her and silently approached the bronze cage where Xiao Shisi was standing.

Si Shuo looked at the cage to the right, where a male was slumped, barely breathing.

His head hung low, his slightly long hair obscuring his eyes. What made Si Shuo press her lips together was the sight of the male’s severed arms, his blood-streaked torso, and especially the bowl-sized wound on his abdomen that had yet to fully scab over!

Xu Chi gently stroked her back and kissed her forehead, turning his body to block her view.

Si Shuo sighed silently, nuzzled against Xu Chi’s chest, and lifted her gaze to Xiao Shisi.

Xiao Shisi had reverted to her original form: tall and slender with an elegant figure. Her light-blue ombré hair was tied back casually, and her features were so exquisite they were almost severe, like an elf of the night.

Lately, Xiao Shisi had been eating well with Si Shuo’s group and had even put on a little weight. But the female before them now showed none of the pure, pitiful charm she used when acting cute or throwing tantrums in front of Si Shuo. With arms crossed, head tilted, and lips quirked into a smirk, she looked every bit the perfect, spoiled dandy!

Si Shuo’s lips twitched. ’Well, of course. She’s a female from one of the families, after all. How could she be truly innocent and kind? Everyone has a protective facade.’

Complex emotions flickered in Xiao Shisi’s eyes, but her lips curled into a sneer. "Tsk, look who it is. Hasn’t your Father already become a Level 15 Beastman?"

"So how did you end up getting caught and sent here to be auctioned off? In your state, what female would be willing to spend Crystal Stones on you?"

Yin Jiang remained motionless, as if he hadn’t heard her.
