Beast Taming: Reincarnated With The Ultimate Bond System!-Chapter 272 - : : Everything In His Heart!
He leaned forward, elbow resting on the mattress, one hand still wrapped gently around Mee’s smaller one. His thumb traced slow, absent circles over her knuckles—over the fresh bandages that covered her burned fingers. His messy brown hair fell into his eyes; he didn’t bother pushing it back. He hadn’t moved since Sera left.
Amelia stirred.
A small, incoherent murmur slipped from her lips—barely audible. Her long brown hair, now loose and tangled across the pillow, shifted as her head turned slightly. Eyelashes fluttered. Then—slowly—her warm brown eyes opened.
Kee’s breath caught.
"Mee..." Relief crashed through him so hard his voice cracked. "Thank god you’re fine."
Mee blinked up at him—groggy, unfocused. Then recognition hit. A soft, tired smile tugged at the corner of her cracked lips.
"Kee..."
"You look like shit. Calm down. I am fine." She tried to sit up, then winced sharply. "Ouch... ouch..."
Kee’s free hand shot out—gently pressing her shoulder back down. "Hey—hey, easy. Lie still, idiot. You’re as reckless as ever"
She pouted—cute despite the bandages and bruises. "And you’re not my mommy."
Kee snorted—relief finally loosening the knot in his chest. "Sure. I’m your daddy."
"Y-you..." She hissed, cheeks flushing despite the pain. "You’re such a pain in the ass."
The word ass hung in the air for half a second.
Her eyes widened—memory flashing back to the tunnel. The loud SLAP. The deep red handprint throbbing under her skirt. She shifted—winced again—and tried to peek down at herself.
That was a mistake.
Her uniform was in tatters. The blouse hung in scorched strips—top buttons gone, fabric parted wide enough to expose most of her white bra and the deep valley of creamy cleavage between her full C-cup breasts.
The short skirt was ripped high on one thigh—revealing the angry red handprint Kee had left.
Bandages wrapped her arms and lower legs, but there was no hiding how much skin was on display.
She squeaked—high-pitched, mortified—and yanked the torn edges of her blouse together with her free hand, trying to cover herself. "D-don’t look!"
Kee’s eyes flicked down—then immediately back to her face. He raised both hands in mock surrender, though his lips twitched. "Come on. We’ve taken showers together. This is nothing."
"Huh?!" Her voice cracked. "We were kids back then!"
"Same thing."
"No! It’s not! Pervert!" But her voice softened at the end—almost shy.
She peeked at him through the corner of her eye—cheeks burning.
"Kee..."
"Yeah?" He leaned closer—voice dropping to that gentle tone he only ever used with her.
"So... you were going to tell me a secret..." She swallowed, suddenly nervous. "What is it?"
Kee blinked—then grinned. Slow. Smug. Eyes closing like a cat who caught the cream. "Secret? What secret? I don’t remember saying anything like that."
Amelia froze.
Then—silence.
Kee peeked one eye open—expecting her to yell, hit him, pout.
Instead she just... stared.
Big brown eyes shimmering with sudden tears. Lips trembling. Looking like she was two seconds from crying.
"I... I hate you," she whispered—voice small, broken. She turned onto her side—away from him—pulling her hand free and curling in on herself.
Kee’s grin vanished instantly.
He reached out—hesitated—then gently touched her shoulder. "Mee..."
She didn’t answer—just sniffled once.
Kee exhaled—soft, shaky.
"Amelia," he said quietly—using her full name for maybe the third time in his life. "I love you."
She went still.
Slowly—very slowly—she turned her head just enough to look at him over her shoulder.
Eyes wide. Trembling. Shining with emotion she couldn’t hide anymore.
"Kee..."
"I have... since I don’t even know when," he continued—voice low, steady, raw. "It just happened. One day I looked at you and realized you were everything. I love how you call me Kee. How you tell me every stupid little thing that happens in your day. How you lean on me when you’re tired. How you put up with my teasing even when you’re mad. And you’re... you’re really beautiful, Mee. Inside and out."
Tears spilled over—sliding down her cheeks.
She stared at him—lips parted, breath hitching.
Then—suddenly—she grabbed his collar with both bandaged hands and yanked him down.
Their lips crashed together—hungry, desperate, messy with tears and relief.
Kee’s eyes widened—then softened. He cupped her right cheek—careful of the bandage—thumb brushing away tears as he kissed her back. Slow. Deep. Tender.
When they finally parted—gasping, foreheads pressed together—Amelia’s voice was barely a whisper.
"Idiot... why did you take so long?"
Kee huffed a soft laugh—breath warm against her lips. "And why didn’t you ever tell me?"
"Shut up," she mumbled—soft, shy.
Her hands slid from his collar to cradle the back of his neck. She pulled him closer—resting her forehead against his chest, rubbing her cheek there like she was scent-marking him.
"I love you too, Kee."
He wrapped both arms around her—careful of her burns—and pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head, over the bandage.
"Love you too, Mee."
They stayed like that—quiet, breathing each other in—for several long moments.
Then Kee—because he was still Kee—couldn’t resist.
"So..." he murmured against her hair, voice teasing. "Can I look at your boobs now? Touch them?"
Mee’s face exploded red against his chest. "Stupid. Idiot. Dummy."
Kee chuckled—low, warm, rumbling through his chest. "Love you too."
Suddenly the door swung open.
"Ohh my..." Sera Veyne leaned against the frame—arms crossed under her massive breasts, auburn hair falling loose from its bun, golden cat-slit eyes sparkling with amusement. "Did something happen while I was gone?"
Kee froze—face still buried in Mee’s hair.
Mee squeaked—trying to pull the torn blouse closed again.
Sera’s lips curved—slow, wicked. "Don’t worry. I won’t tell. But boi..." She tilted her head, smirk widening. "Next time lock the door if you’re gonna get handsy with your girlfriend."
Kee groaned—face burning.
Mee buried her face deeper into his chest—mumbling something that sounded suspiciously like "kill me now."
Sera laughed—rich, throaty—and stepped inside, closing the door behind her.
"Relax. I’m just here to check her vitals. You two lovebirds can continue after."
Kee peeked up—still red. "We weren’t—"
"Sure you weren’t." Sera winked—golden eyes gleaming. "Now move over, boi. Let Nurse Sera do her job."
Kee reluctantly shifted—still holding Amelia’s hand.
Mee peeked up at him—face still scarlet—then whispered so only he could hear:
"You’re not taking that back."
Kee squeezed her hand—smiling softly.
"Promise."
