Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 306:Sober Maiden
Sbonga has just escaped from Angelica’s spear. To be more specific he did die but his new ability saved him.
His newest ability was an upgraded version of the one he used to transfer his damage to his undead.
This one not only does that but switches his position with that of the undead, not only saving him but taking him away from the danger.
While he was angry at Angelica he couldn’t help but shake in fear, he thought he had grown stronger but she was a monster.
Her image completely suppresses him to the point he felt utterly helpless against her. To the point he died the fight was one sided.
The moment he came out of his coffin the witch of a hundred faces appeared from the shadows.
" Was your mission a success my little corpse?" She asked with a mocking smile. He clicked his tongue.
" Was yours?" Her smile disappeared, he looked at her face. She was not an overly pretty woman but she wasn’t ugly either.
He wondered why she hated pretty women so much though. She clicked her tongue and put her mask on.
Her vessel was not a dark vessel like his but it always gave him a cold feeling. " My mission was impossible to accomplish.
A delicate lady like myself cannot even hurt that monster let alone kill him, it simply unfair to expect it, besides they knew I was coming."
Her voice grew cold when she said the last part. Sbonga’s face grew dark as well, " The same went for me, do you think..."
He didn’t finish his sentence but she knew what he wanted to say. " That isn’t for us to decide, you know how boss feels about that one."
While talking they suddenly felt a cold feeling run down their spines. Both were very adept at surviving.
They had incredible senses for danger, Sbonga summoned his coffin and dove inside immediately.
The witch of a hundred faces tried to jump in as well but he closed the coffin behind him. She clicked her tongue.
" Bastard, this will hurt." An explosion followed and drowned the entire layer, blue flames and green lightning spread through the entire underground layer.
Everything was destroyed completely, her body was devoured by the flames and lightning abs completely disappeared.
The other members did not even get a chance to scream before they turned to ash. The explosion did not spread further but the flames and lightning had to go somewhere.
After destroying everything within the underground layer, they rose to the sky forming a pillar of blue and green.
Everybody in the city turned and looked at the pillar but they had no idea what it was so they just celebrated like it were fireworks.
At the centre of this city stood Vermilion’s former palace now belonging to Alya officially.
In her office she was sorting out some documents when one of her subordinates came rushing in.
" My lady, please come, something is happening." The man shouted at her with a shaking breath.
She didn’t raise her head and continued working. " I’m busy and whatever is happening, I’m sure it will be fine."
" But my lady."
" Leave me." The man left dejected and closed the door behind him.
Alya put down her pen and sighed, she could see the explosion through her soul sense.
The people thought it was some kind of fireworks for reasons she couldn’t understand.
A coping mechanism maybe for all that they’ve been through she didn’t know nor did she care.
She planned to keep it that way to prevent panic. She continued working on her documents waiting for the upcoming storm.
Meanwhile Ambre and the other members of the Shadow force watched the explosion with amazement.
" This...is just a fragment of his power?" One of them asked. Nobody answered her, they were all thinking the same thing.
If they were the ones to face this explosion, would they survive it and they all came to the same conclusion, not even their bodies would survive.
Tens of kilometres away from the explosion two people watched everything with relief. " If we had stayed there, we’d be very dead wouldn’t we?"
The woman asked but the man next to her said nothing. His thoughts were somewhere else.
He recognised this power, specifically that flame and he was wondering if that monster was nearby.
Because if he was then he would use her as bait to escape. Fortunately for him the one he was talking about was nowhere near.
He was in his room trying to move his body to no avail. Evergreen came in with a happy smile and a blue white flower.
" My lord my lord, look, I found it, I don’t really know what’s it’s called but it will help you."
Ved watched the flower through his weakened soul sense since he couldn’t open his heavy eyes.
He could feel his spirit regenerating just standing close to this thing." I’ll prepare a bath right away."
Evergreen turned around and ran off, ’ Evergreen.’ he called out, she turned and looked at him.
’ Thank you.’ he thanked her sincerely, she smiled softly. " It’s my pleasure my lord." She went to prepare whatever she was preparing.
Evergreen had made a massive pool of herbs and mixed with them was the nectar of this flower and the flowers itself.
However Ved refused being soaked there, not without Naledi so they went to fetch her from the New Ice Lotus City.
Together they started healing, Evergreen had suspected it would take weeks for them to fully heal but she was wrong.
Ved and and Naledi could feel it clearly, the power of this flower was too powerful. They were certain they will be fine by tomorrow.
----------------------------------------------------------
Back on the island an hour ago. The Golden monk and Vermilion had used their abilities at the same time.
The results was a stalemate which was surprising to both. Vermilion knew the power of his heart of the dying star.
But the monk also understood the power of his sila. It power was determined by the negative karma of the target.
In Vermilion’s case, the scales had tilted more than he had ever seen before. By logic the sword of judgement should’ve cut him in half.
Yet his ability managed to block it, the monk wondered how powerful that white laser beam actually was.
The devastation of their attacks still lingered in the air, spatial cracks ran through the sky like spider webs.
Star energy lingered in the sky, it was so powerful it could probably kill other projection realms if they dared touch it.
Everybody watching was now more than ever glad that Aira had removed them from that battle.
Cat’s friends in the other were worried about her, being so close such an explosion of power was dangerous even for people with their power.
Things cleared after almost an hour, the dangerous star energy and the golden Buddha energy still lingered.
However it was no longer as bad near the ground. The two energies seemed to have risen to the sky and concentrated there.
Because of them the sky cracks refused to heal. Cat appeared with her gourd raised to the sky.
She was standing now though her steps still seemed unsteady. Above her was a pink crystal shield.
It was the crystallized form of her alcohol, the shield had cracks but it managed to keep her safe.
She raised her head and looked at Vermilion directly. " Too noisy." She punched sending her intent fist at him.
He shattered it with a single wave of his hand. " Virya, Prajna." The monk used the pure of energy and wisdom.
Golden images of a muscular Buddha and a scroll appeared briefly behind him before disappearing.
His body turned muscular but he looked like a muscular scholar. He kicked off the air and attacked Vermilion.
Vermilion met him head on, his flaming spear stabbed at the monks heart but just as it was about to touch him.
The monk slightly dodged to the side then tapped Vermilion’s spear at a specific point with specific force.
The entire spear disintegrated into flame particles. This caught Vermilion off guard. He tried to retreat but the monk was already standing Infront of him.
Through the monk’s eyes Vermilion saw numbers as of they were counting. The formations were incomprehensible to him.
The monk attacked his shoulder propping him to block then the monk’s finger turned and tapped his arms instead.
Vermilion knew he had been tricked, his arms were always the target. The fight became very one sided.
It was as if the monk could see all of his moves beforehand and knew every weakness of his body and abilities.
It was unsettling and he didn’t know how right was. The pure of wisdom allowed the monk to see the truth.
Every single physical or magical structure had a weakness without exception and he could see them clearly.
He could calculate and predict his moves as well as those of his opponents quite easily. While the two of them were fighting they suddenly felt a terrifying aura.
They looked down and saw Cat tilting her gourd to the ground. Out came a drop of pure transparent alcohol which splattered against the ground.
