Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 295: Lost
The moment they appeared they found themselves in a forest. There were no sign of any civilization nearby.
Ved could barely keep his eyes open, he had a splitting headache and his body felt like it was drained of all energy.
Naledi was no better off, she leaned on him as they tried to drag their heavy bodies forward.
They barely managed to walk 400 metres before they fell down. Their eyes started to close on their own.
" Sleep tight little ones." They heard a familiar yet unrecognisable feminine voice then drifted into sleep.
But before they could fully drift into unconsciousness, he used the stealth trait on both of them blending them with their surroundings.
Of course he wasn’t certain if it would last without him consciously maintaining it but hoped it would.
After all he had imbued it into clothing once before, although that did require formation experts to use runes to bind it, unable to hold on he fell into deep sleep.
The same thing happened in a small town near the deep jungles of the former Republic Of Congo.
A young boy did not wake up from his sleep, his family called doctors which were vessel holders with healing vessels.
The doctors determined the boy was alive and healthy. Infact his body was much stronger than it should be.
Almost rivaling that of a rank 1 vessel holder which was peculiar. This was of course thanks to Ved’s image.
It ability to permanently strengthen his physical attributes after surviving a life threatening crisis could spread to his allies. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
However even Ved was not aware of this as of yet. The doctors tried to wake the boy up to no avail.
Eventually they gave up, his family while devastated still held hope that the boy would wake one day.
The news that the king and queen did not return from the dream realm spread. Both humans and spiritual beasts panicked.
Naledi’s friends and Ved’s friends and subordinates took action. They sent out armies to search for them.
They were willing to turn the entire world upside down to find them. They had no luck, after all the place they were in was very remote.
Their people even tried to seek the council of the seer but she refused to see anybody. They sought the librarian and she just told them, all she was was a reader.
They got tired, everybody was worried but there were no signs of those two. Even the other leaders of the world took action.
The monk, Set and Ahmanet and even the cowboys of Texas took action. Yet no matter how long and hard they searched they saw no signs of them.
However they did not give up and years passed. The period of the Nameless of Nightmares was about to end in a few years.
Meaning another Nameless will come and their two greatest weapons were nowhere to be found.
Everybody was worried, after all, none of them had managed to deal with any of the heralds that had come so far.
Had it not been for those two, they would’ve suffered against the children of the herald of plagues.
Unlike Ved they weren’t resistant to dark particles and unlike Naledi they didn’t have divine flames.
Their situation would’ve been even worse against the herald of nightmares, they were mostly useless.
Only a few had the power to defend themselves but even they wouldn’t have been able to survive.
To put things into perspective, in the entire world. No more than 50 people could’ve survived against the herald of nightmares.
Even the projection realm experts were as helpless as children against the herald of nightmares.
So it was understandable why everybody was scared seeing as the two people who can fight against these monsters had disappeared.
Avery was sorting through a stack of papers, ever since the disappearance of her king she hadn’t been doing well.
She was stressed and still had to be the pillar for everybody. White was a mess and trained like a maniac and Ursela was always angry.
She had been going around the world challenging everybody she could. Avery had just sent an apology gift to the golden monk.
Because Ursela destroyed one of their temples in her fit of rage. However she wasn’t the only one dealing with those issues.
Aira had the same problem, Cat who was always drunk before was even worse now. She had been drinking almost every second.
She would get drunk, start fights with everybody and remember nothing after then repeat, Aira was forced to bind her and trap her.
Of course Cat with her monstrous strength broke free and disappeared. She learnt she met up with Ursela.
Fought each other then went around beating everybody else up. The only two people taking everything very well were Nimue and Cathra.
Nimue was even doing better than Traxy, Traxy had been mopping almost everyday which Avery understood.
Ved was her adoptive little brother after all and as detached as that girl pretended to be, she did love him as he loved her.
Her mother and Cathra on the other hand planted flower gardens of their own, very large flower gardens.
When Avery would ask Nimue how she was feeling she would just say she was fine and knows her son will come back.
Cathra reacted the same way, when Avery and Aira talked, they realised how similar these two motherly women were.
While sorting through paperwork, both Avery and Aira received letters at the same time.
The contents of said letters made them jump from their seat with joy.
A few days ago.
A ship could be seen traveling through the ocean which was strange since this was a flying ship.
It had to dodge sea vortexes that were everywhere while sailing through a massive storm.
However everything made sense because behind them was a flock of massive birds chasing after them.
The ship was battered and obviously incapable of flying anybody. It rocked on the ocean causing the passengers to almost lose their footing.
Worst still, this was a passenger ship carrying hundreds of rich people across continents.
Some of them were children and grandchildren of really powerful people, descendants of rank 4 experts.
The captain of this ship, a rank 4 vessel holder looked up at the flock of birds. His hands were shaking with fear yet he stood strong.
" Captain, there’s an island." They saw an island the moment they went through the storm and sailed towards it but the birds continued chasing them.
Then the flock dropped from the sky like bombs heading straight for their ship. Everybody lost hope and waited for death then.
Silence, the birds were gone and in their stead all they saw was snow. Everybody looked towards the island and saw an unrealistically beautiful woman standing at the shore.
She smiled at them gently. That smile made their hearts beat like drums. " Hello there." The woman greeted them then fell down like a puppet with cut strings.
