Banished to the Abyss After Defying the Author-Chapter 32: The Draconic Princess
The red light in the sky suddenly burst and shot downward.
It struck Astriye directly.
Silver erupted from her body again, brighter and more intense than before.
Her pupils thinned.
Her aura sharpened.
She drew her sword and lunged at Noah without warning.
Steel flashed toward his throat.
Noah leaned back and dodged.
"Hey, what the heck are you doing?"
"You men are just dogs," she hissed, her voice layered with something else beneath it.
She pressed the attack.
Noah dodged again and leapt backward, jumping outside the palace grounds toward the open kingdom. She followed him instantly.
Noah raised both spears toward the sky.
"I guess that red light burst got inside you now."
He launched one spear directly at her.
She dodged effortlessly and raised her sword, slashing toward Noah in a wide arc.
Noah sidestepped, but the slash curved in midair and hit him anyway.
He looked at her.
"In my past," she said, voice cold and trembling with old rage, "many men like you used me and threw me away like dirt."
Suddenly, black spikes erupted from the ground beneath Noah.
He dodged and leapt into the sky.
Spikes appeared in the air around him.
"Running is useless," she said. "These spikes can appear in any location as long as I can see it."
Noah kept dodging, moving between the spikes as they formed and reformed around him.
"Just calm down. I don’t want to kill you."
He used his spear to destroy the nearest spikes, clearing a path.
She swung her sword again, and more spikes appeared near Noah.
"When I came into this girl’s body," she continued, "she was hated by her own father. And still she didn’t cry. She stood up anyway."
Noah raised both spears and combined them.
Solar burst exploded outward.
The spikes disintegrated in the heat.
Noah looked at her steadily.
"I hear your story. But that does not grant you the right to hate everyone."
Her anger flared visibly.
"What do you even know about me? About this girl?"
The combined spear in Noah’s hands began burning with sun flare.
Noah looked at her.
"I will hear your story if you stop now. Otherwise, you will die."
She looked at him and smiled coldly.
"You’re weak. You can never hurt me."
Noah threw the spear into the sky.
It expanded, growing as large as a mountain.
"Let’s see how true your words really are."
She looked up at it.
"You men only know destruction. You don’t know how to create and preserve things."
Noah looked at her and laughed.
"Wow. Nice joke. Well, it might be true for any man, but not for me."
He launched the massive spear toward her.
She smiled.
Then teleported behind Noah, touched his back, and said one word.
"DEATH SPIKES."
Black spikes erupted from inside Noah’s body, tearing outward through his torso.
Noah grabbed her neck and threw her toward the ground with brutal force.
"You worm. You dare to hurt me?"
The sun flare burst again.
The entire environment began melting from the heat. Stone liquefied. The air shimmered violently.
Noah looked down at her.
She smiled through the pain.
"You can’t kill me."
Noah struck the spear down and pinned her to the ground through her chest.
"You hate men. I don’t tell you not to hate. But attacking any man without reason is not logical."
She coughed blood.
"You don’t even know about my past. You can’t understand me."
Noah looked at her.
"Show me your past. Tell me your past. In this existence, there is nothing that I can’t understand."
He threw the elixir toward her.
She caught it and drank.
Her wounds healed, but the pain remained.
She raised her hand.
A small sphere formed around both of them, enclosing them in a separate space.
Noah looked at her.
She smiled.
"DRACONIC AUTHORITY: WISE OF DRACONIC ARMY."
The entire environment changed with a single gesture.
The sky turned blue.
Sand stretched endlessly in every direction.
Rows of vampires and winged draconic soldiers stood in formation. A throne of bone materialized in the distance.
Noah observed calmly.
"So you made a temporary dimensional world and used your authority."
He looked around at the vampires and dracula filling the landscape.
"So you are the famous dracula princess, Lengronia."
She looked shocked.
"How do you even know me?"
Noah sighed.
"Well, why should I not know you?"
She looked at him with a smile.
"Whatever. Now you are inside my world. The world I created. Here, the rules are controlled by me. And your spears are outside too."
Noah looked at her.
"Do you really think you fooled me?"
She looked shocked, then angry.
"Don’t tell me the whole time you were just testing my power level?"
Noah smiled.
"Well, now get ready. Because playtime is over, kitten."
Suddenly, the spear broke through the dimensional barrier separating this world from the real world and flew directly into Noah’s hand.
Noah looked at her.
"This spear has divine authority. As you know, divine authority can bypass most defenses."
He launched the spear toward her with full thrust, sun radiance exploding outward.
It burned every vampire and every dracula in its path and struck Lengronia directly.
A massive blast followed.
The sand beneath them turned to glass from the heat.
The spear returned to Noah’s hand at lightning speed.
He looked at where she had been.
She stood up again, revived.
Laughing.
"Oh, did you really think you can kill me?"
Noah looked at her.
"Oh, this place is like your home, right? Your anchor."
He raised the spear.
"GREAT SUN. ALL ABIDE TO DEATH."
The spear began burning like the sun itself.
The sand beneath them converted to glass from the high temperature, spreading outward in waves.
Noah looked at her.
"Lengronia, I am giving you one last chance. Accept your defeat, and I will hear your words."
She smiled and shouted.
"Never! I will never accept defeat!"
Noah closed his eyes.
He remembered Nyx.
He remembered Victoria.
I don’t want to kill them. But they give me no chance.
He launched the spear toward her with full power.
She smiled.
Then the environment dissolved around her.
Astriye returned to normal, unconscious and falling directly into the spear’s path.
Noah’s eyes widened.
He vanished and appeared between the spear and Astriye, catching the attack with his own body.
The spear struck him.
He tried to absorb it inside himself.
His eyes started bleeding heavily as he forced the solar energy inward, compressing it into his core rather than letting it explode outward.
He fully absorbed the spear.
He looked at Astriye behind him, unconscious but unharmed.
She literally just gave back control to Astriye the moment I was about to erase her.
Blood poured from his eyes.
His vision blurred.
Then he noticed the sand returning around them.
The blue sky reasserted itself.
Lengronia’s voice echoed from nowhere, mocking.
"Oh, what happened, almighty Noah? Were your words just for talk and no action?"
She laughed.
Noah straightened despite the blood still flowing from his eyes. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He looked toward the empty air where her voice had come from.
His breathing steadied.
Playtime was over.
