Chapter 688: Gathering Of Dragons

"Old man, why did you call all of us here?" On a floating mountain in the sky, nine dragons with their gigantic bodies had gathered together.

All the dragons were looking at one of them, the one who looked older than all the others.

"It’s about those humans who have come here," the First Elder said in a calm and neutral tone. He had managed to gather the other eight Elders here.

However, the Tenth Elder had said he would arrive a little later. It seemed something had happened to his son.

Anyway, the current problem was how he was supposed to convince these old dragons to negotiate and make a deal. His view of Daniel had completely changed, and he wanted to help the Heir of the Fallen Blood. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"So you also think we should throw those humans out? I agree! If all of us announce our objections, the Empress will have no choice but to listen," one of the dragons said harshly.

All of them were in their original forms, their massive dragon bodies covering the skies.

"Now that they’ve entered, it’s better to execute them!" another Elder said angrily. He couldn’t accept that low creatures like humans had entered their sacred land.

"That human woman is too powerful. Killing her without getting injured won’t be possible," the Fourth Elder said calmly. Among all of them, he seemed to have the most indifferent expression.

"Besides, the Empress will not agree, and I don’t want to anger her," the Fifth Elder also voiced his opposition.

"Then I guess expelling them is the best option."

"Enough!" The First Elder sighed and raised his voice, silencing all of them. He knew this wouldn’t be easy, but it seemed he had still underestimated the difficulty.

The other Elders fell silent and looked at the oldest dragon present.

"We are not going to execute or expel him. On the contrary, I want you to help him," he declared in a firm voice.

When they heard his words, the other Elders fell into silence. It was as if they couldn’t properly process what the First Elder had just said.

"Hahaha!"

Suddenly, the sound of collective laughter echoed among the dragons.

"Old man, that was a good joke. I didn’t know you could joke too," the Sixth Elder said. He looked like an ancient dragon of great age.

"I’m not joking," the First Elder said seriously. There was no trace of humor in his eyes or on his face.

"Have you gone mad!? You want us to help a human!?"

"That’s completely impossible! I will never agree to help those lowly humans! The fact that we’ve even let them live is already mercy!"

"Silence!" the old dragon roared harshly and released his aura, forcing all of them into silence.

"What are you thinking?" Although the dragons had fallen silent, the Sixth Elder asked in disbelief.

"I’m sure that if you understand who that human really is, you will be willing to help him. At least listen to what he has to say first," the First Elder replied.

After his words echoed, all the Elders fell into deep thought. They knew that he hated humans more than any of them. After all, he was the only one among them who had lost his child because of humans.

For him to say they should help those humans was extremely shocking. But now that they thought about it, it was impossible that the First Elder would support those two humans without a reason.

"Fine. We’ll listen to what they have to say first. But if they can’t satisfy us, you must help us expel them," the Sixth Elder said after reading the expressions of the other dragons and stepping forward to announce their collective answer.

The First Elder nodded. This was the most he could do for that child. The rest was up to him now.

It didn’t take long before Daniel and Evangelin, following the talisman, arrived at the floating mountain. At first glance, they realized that this mountain was much larger than almost all the others.

It had a vast flat surface where the dragons were gathered. The two of them slowly approached and landed there.

"First Elder, we meet again," Daniel looked at the familiar dragon and said with a smile.

"Don’t waste time. Say what you came here to say," the First Elder skipped greetings and spoke directly and seriously.

From a distance, Evangelin looked at the eight other dragons. She noticed that one of them was missing. She could guess which one had not come and for what reason, so she didn’t care.

Only the intense hostility and contempt she felt from those dragons toward them caused a cold light to flash in her eyes.

"Thank you for gathering here and being willing to listen to me," Daniel stepped forward and spoke respectfully to all of them.

Since the dragons were in their original forms, he had to look up at them. He felt extremely small, like an ant trying to give a speech in front of elephants.

"Human, you better have a convincing reason for asking to speak with us. Otherwise, you will surely regret it," the Fourth Elder said coldly. His suffocating aura made Daniel feel short of breath.

"I want to request permission to enter the Ancient Trial," Daniel said directly without trying to twist the topic.

"That is impossible. Humans have neither the right nor the qualification to enter that sacred place!" the Eighth Elder immediately rejected firmly.

"Human, what made you think you are qualified to enter that place? Do you want to die!?"

"Impossible! We will not grant you permission to enter!" All the Elders rejected him as their destructive auras were released.

The space began to tremble, and time seemed to slow down. The very fabric of reality looked like it might collapse at any moment.

Neither Evangelin nor the First Elder intervened. In their view, this was something he had to face and resolve himself. If they interfered, the situation would only get worse.

However, Evangelin was ready to step in at any moment if things reached a point of no return.

"What if I offer you the Fallen’s Blood in exchange?" Daniel’s voice echoed clearly.

When the two words "Fallen and Blood" were heard, the destructive and suffocating auras suddenly disappeared as if they had never existed.

The eyes of all the dragons lit up, as if they had just heard the name of something extremely valuable.

"Fallen’s Blood? How is it possible that you have it? Human, if you are lying, the price will be your life!" the Sixth Elder said, temptation visible in his eyes.

"You can trust him. He is telling the truth. I confirm it," the First Elder intervened.

With his confirmation, the gazes of all the dragons changed. The intense hostility that had filled the air suddenly decreased.

"Fallen’s Blood in exchange for our support. However, you know that even with our agreement, you still need the Goddess’s approval to enter that Trial," the Sixth Elder added.

"No problem," Daniel nodded.

"The important question is whether you have enough Fallen’s Blood to satisfy us," the Third Elder pointed out an important issue.

That remark made Daniel smirk. He created a dagger using mana and cut his palm. Blood began to flow.

"Of course," he replied.

The dragons’ eyes widened in shock. With just one glance, they recognized that blood, it was Fallen’s Blood. Only that god’s blood could cause the blood of all dragons to boil.

So this boy is the carrier of the Fallen Bloodline?
