Chapter 685: The Dragon Valley

The place where the dragons lived, which was also known as Dragon Valley, was extremely vast. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that it was even larger than the entire world Daniel used to live in.

From what he understood from Evangelin, this place was a kind of private dimension separated from the Celestial Domain. That defensive layer acted like a curtain that separated the two dimensions.

Dragon Valley contained tens of thousands of islands and floating mountains. The largest floating island, which was almost the size of several continents, was the main living area of the ordinary dragons.

And right now, their main destination for sightseeing was exactly that floating island where the ordinary dragons lived.

Daniel and Evangelin slowly landed on the island. With one glance, countless massive palaces and mansions came into view, all built in the distinct dragon style.

Like normal cities, it had streets and pathways. Although Daniel expected to see dragons in their true forms, most of them were in their humanoid forms.

It seemed that living in that form was easier for them. More importantly, the true bodies of dragons were extremely massive.

He had only seen a part of the First Elder’s body, and even that was dozens of times larger than the biggest building humanity had ever built.

"This place gives me the feeling of a normal city, but at the same time it feels strange," he said while walking along the streets.

Evangelin said nothing. She agreed. Some dragons occasionally stared at them, probably because they had no horns or wings.

If she had not concealed both her own aura and Daniel’s scent, they would definitely have been attacked by now.

Right now, the dragons could only guess whether they were dragons or not. But if they could smell them, they would immediately realize they were not dragons, and that could be dangerous. She did not have the patience for unnecessary trouble.

"Do you want to eat something? I’d like to try their food," Daniel suddenly said when his eyes landed on a restaurant.

"Sure," Evangelin nodded, although she personally had no intention of eating anything.

They entered the restaurant. It was luxurious, with a unique architectural style Daniel had never seen before. It had its own charm and uniqueness.

"Dear customers, welcome," a waiter approached them and said politely.

"We want a table for two," Evangelin said in a neutral tone.

The waiter nodded and led them to a two-person table. They both sat down and looked at the menu, which was written in a multi-page booklet.

"Flame-grilled Phoenix meat? Seriously?" Daniel’s expression stiffened slightly when he saw one of the dishes and did not know how to react.

He had never tasted Phoenix meat before. Not because he did not want to, but because finding Phoenix meat to eat in the Celestial Domain was practically impossible.

And now he had found such a dish here.

"Yes, they really serve Phoenix meat. Dragons are very fond of Phoenix meat. I’ve eaten it too. It’s truly one of the best meats," Evangelin nodded and confirmed.

Daniel laughed and could not control it. He wondered if the Phoenixes knew that dragons used their meat as food.

Whether they knew or not, he would love to see their reaction.

Without hesitation, he ordered the flame-grilled Phoenix meat. Naturally, he could not miss the chance to eat something like this. This might be the only opportunity in his life to taste such meat.

Evangelin did not order anything and simply said she was full.

The food took about an hour to prepare. During that time, Daniel asked her why this place was called Dragon Valley and whether there was a special reason behind the name.

"This place used to be an actual valley. In fact, it was considered the end of a continent. Then during a great war, the valley was destroyed. After that, the dragons decided to create a separate dimension with a very powerful defensive layer as their home."

"And to honor the old traditions, they kept the name Dragon Valley," Evangelin explained.

"This place is very different from what I imagined. Dragons as a whole are very different from what I had in mind. They seem calmer and kinder," Daniel said while glancing around.

"Dragons are exactly what you think they are. You just haven’t had the chance to see their true nature yet. They are one of the most troublesome and stubborn beings."

"It sounds like you really don’t like dragons," Daniel laughed and did not take it seriously. He simply thought Evangelin said that because of her personal bias against dragons.

Although dragons were certainly arrogant, he had managed to have reasonable conversations with two dragons so far and even made deals with them.

He doubted there was a dragon more stubborn and arrogant than the First Elder, right?

Evangelin said nothing. She could see that Daniel did not take her words seriously. She also had no reason to explain further.

It was a bit strange even to her why dragons seemed to get relatively close to Daniel so easily and develop a favorable view of him.

Could it be because of the Undying Soul Of Dragon? Did dragons feel a sense of closeness to him because of that?

"The food is finally here," Daniel smiled when he saw the waiter approaching with two plates.

The waiter placed the two plates in front of them, and Daniel immediately started eating. When he put the first piece of Phoenix meat into his mouth, he suddenly felt like he had bitten into a piece of heaven.

"How can a piece of meat taste this good and have such a transcendent flavor?" he muttered in disbelief. The taste was beyond anything he had imagined.

Now he understood why dragons loved Phoenix meat so much. If the sale of this meat were allowed in his world and the Celestial Domain, it would quickly become the most popular meat on the market.

"Is it good?" Evangelin asked.

"Very. It’s truly the best meat I’ve ever eaten," Daniel nodded.

"Then you should try dragon meat to find out which one is truly the best," Evangelin said coldly and indifferently, though the mockery in her tone was obvious.

"..."

For a moment, Daniel did not know what to say. In the end, he decided to stay silent and continue eating.

However, at that moment, the sound of doors and windows shattering and walls collapsing echoed through the area. A figure flew past them at high speed and seemed to crash into a wall.

"Hmm?" Daniel frowned and looked around. He saw a young dragon who had been slammed hard into a wall, blood flowing from his body.

"Hey bastard! How many times do I have to warn you to stay away from my fiancée?" At the same time, an angry male voice echoed throughout the area around the restaurant.

A moment later, a tall, well-built, very handsome young male dragon wearing golden robes slowly entered the restaurant.

A respectful group followed behind him.

As soon as he entered, he scanned the entire restaurant. But before his gaze landed on the injured young dragon, it fixed on Evangelin.

"A woman so beautiful that even the Empress would look ordinary next to her actually exists?" the dragon in golden robes muttered in disbelief, and lust was clearly visible in his eyes.
