Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 672: Rescue Mission
"I guess the card was useless." The guard’s ID card in Daniel’s hand suddenly caught fire and burned to ashes. He laughed and kept walking.
He wasn’t afraid of being exposed. He had wanted to let the Fallen finish everything while he stayed out of it as much as possible, but it seemed that wouldn’t happen.
Now that someone had secretly entered their prison and been discovered, forces would definitely come soon to capture him. So it was better to finish this quickly.
He looked around. From the very start, as far as the eye could see, there were solitary cells. Only the doors were visible; the inside couldn’t be seen.
The breathing difficulty here was at its peak. For him it wasn’t a problem right now, but if he stayed here too long, it could become troublesome even for him.
He didn’t need to search all the cells to find Naya. She was in the last solitary cell. He sped up his steps and soon reached it.
With his spiritual senses, he checked inside again. The girl was conscious and right now had her ears pressed against the door, probably trying to understand the reason for the robotic noise earlier.
"Step back," Daniel said loudly. Naya, recognizing the familiar voice, quickly moved away from the door.
Suddenly, a heavy strike hit the door and turned it completely into ashes. Even part of the wall collapsed.
Dust rose, and the sound of Naya coughing could be heard.
"Daniel?" As the dust settled, the girl naturally saw the face of the person who had come. Her face lit up, and tears flowed from her eyes.
She slowly stepped forward and threw herself into Daniel’s arms, continuing to cry.
"Calm down, I’m here. No need to be scared." Daniel sighed and patted her head.
Naya was a strong girl, but she was still a kid. It was true she was the same age as Daniel, but Daniel himself was considered young, and his mature mind was because he had lived two lives.
But it was different for Naya. She was a girl who had grown up in a safe environment with her family. When she reached this age, she decided to become independent and reduce her reliance on them, or at least show that she was also valuable and strong.
But was that easy? Of course not.
"I was really scared... I thought they might actually kill me." She slowly wiped her tears, but her voice was still trembling. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
With one look, Daniel saw bruises and wounds on her body, but they were superficial. There were no signs of severe torture.
"Did they hurt you?" he asked coldly.
"No, no. These are from a few fights I started myself." Naya shook her head. The terrorists hadn’t even questioned her or interrogated her.
But the atmosphere here was really disturbing and scary for her. Breathing had become hard, and she couldn’t feel or use mana.
Daniel put her on the ground, placed his hand on her shoulder, and suddenly mana burst from his hand and covered her entire body.
Within a few seconds, all her wounds and injuries were completely healed, as if nothing had ever happened.
"Are there any other guild members here?" He removed his hand and asked. He had already checked with his spiritual senses but hadn’t found anyone familiar.
Naya lowered her head. Guilt and anger were visible in her eyes.
"A few... others... were here, but they killed them," she answered in a trembling voice. She still remembered how they crushed their heads in front of her.
"Ah, it’s okay. It’s not your fault." Daniel sighed and tried to comfort her, though he wasn’t good at it.
"If it makes you feel better, all the terrorists’ bases will be destroyed today," he added.
Naya’s anger didn’t lessen, but she seemed a bit calmer. She unclenched her fists, raised her head, and looked at him.
"Thank you."
"It’s time to go." Daniel took her hand and pulled her along. Naya didn’t resist and quietly followed behind him.
However, as they reached the exit, thousands of deadly arrows suddenly shot toward them. A protective layer formed in front of them and deflected the arrows.
Daniel frowned. Where were these arrows coming from? He released his spiritual senses and suddenly laughed. The shooters were standing behind the entrance wall, apparently using weapons whose projectiles could pass through walls.
He raised his hand, and death energy burst out. The energy attacked the shooters, rotting and decomposing their bodies.
It happened so fast that they didn’t even have time to scream or run.
He then kicked the door, turning it into ashes, and they passed through. He glanced at the remaining ashes of the forces sent to capture him.
They were weaker than he expected, but considering the Fallen were attacking the bases, the stronger forces were probably busy fighting them.
Using [Fallen Vision], he saw everything his Fallen were seeing. It seemed two of the bases, which were the weakest among the five, had already been destroyed.
There were many terrorists, but they were being killed quickly. The only reason they had lasted until now was because of the weapons and items they were using.
He also noticed that a very powerful defensive array had been activated and was protecting the central base, so powerful that it had even stopped his strongest Fallen.
"Is something wrong?" Naya asked when she saw Daniel stop.
"No, just these terrorists are richer than I thought," Daniel deactivated his skill and replied playfully.
"Are we leaving now?" She asked. Even though she wanted to see this place destroyed, she also wanted to leave as soon as possible.
She had no good memories of this damned place.
"No. Before leaving, I have to save one more person." Daniel shook his head. He wanted to establish a mental connection with Sara, but realized she had apparently been captured.
So he had to save her first. He just hadn’t expected that the one who captured her seemed to be her brother.
