Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground-Chapter 988: Casually
The members of the White Raven division trudged toward the makeshift camp, their bodies battered, limbs sore, and many of their prides bruised.
Aurora was at the forefront, leading the group with a serious gaze. Her mind replayed the battle she had just fought, thinking of ways to better herself before the next session.
Just behind her, Nate limped dramatically, arms flailing as he continued his one-man campaign of self-glorification.
"I almost had it," he said. "If they had given me just a little more time, I would have destroyed that damn thing."
Several recruits threw him dirty glances, more so from the Ravenstein youths.
"You couldn’t even react to any of its movements," Lucas muttered, rubbing his sore arms.
Nate scoffed. "How would you know? You were too busy getting your ass beat to notice!"
A chorus of snickers followed as Lucas turned to glare daggers at Nate.
"You—"
"Relax, boys," one of the other Ravensteins chuckled. Elijah slapped Lucas on the back, only to immediately regret it when Lucas winced and shot him a glare.
Laughter rippled through the group, though it was mixed with groans as they all dragged their weary bodies forward, wincing at every step.
Then—
"Hey."
A single, deep voice rang through the air.
The entire group froze.
Even Aurora, who had been largely ignoring the others, suddenly halted mid-step. Her head snapped up, her lips parting slightly as her eyes landed on the figure descending down.
"What are you doing here?" Aurora asked, crossing her arms over her chest as though demanding an answer. But the warm smile on her face betrayed her emotions.
"I’m just passing by."
Aurora raised a brow. "Passing by?" She looked at him as though he were insane. "On another island?"
Atticus only smiled, unbothered. "Perks of being all-powerful, I can do anything."
Aurora rolled her eyes, shaking her head. "Show-off."
By now, Atticus had fully landed in front of the group. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he turned toward the rest of the recruits, most of whom were still reeling from his presence.
Some were slack-jawed. Others stood stiffly, unsure whether to salute or simply keep staring.
Even the ones who had been laughing moments ago were now visibly tense, wide-eyed, and awkwardly shifting on their feet.
Nate was the first to snap out of it, though only slightly, exhaling sharply. "It’s just… you know, it’s Atticus."
"Yeah," another Ravenstein muttered, nodding. "It’s like seeing a god casually walk into your backyard."
Atticus chuckled, shaking his head. "It’s just me."
"That’s exactly the problem," someone muttered under their breath. Seeing him on the live screen was one thing, being bathed in his presence was another.
As they stared at their age mate, the one they had been cheering for all this while, they each felt small.
"Y-Young Master!"
Finally, the Ravenstein youths snapped out of it, dropping to one knee and bowing in reverence.

Soon, the other members followed, echoing the same greeting.
Atticus blinked, unsure of how to proceed.
What exactly was going on, and why was he being worshipped like some god?
He ignored Aurora snickering beside him before asking everyone to stand. It took some time, but he eventually got them up. Stay tuned for updates on novelbuddy
"Wowww, is it really you, bro?" Nate gawked, gazing at Atticus’s new appearance as though he were an exotic creature.
The others weren’t any better. Though cautious, they surrounded him, scrutinizing everything about him.
Aside from the Ravenstein youths, no one else dared to approach, instead, they observed with open mouths from a distance.
After a few seconds of being bombarded with numerous questions—
"All right, all right, that’s enough," Aurora spoke, and the other Ravensteins listened instantly, stepping aside as though they were obedient soldiers.
Atticus looked at Aurora with one eyebrow raised. "You’ve been busy."
"Hmph! Of course. Someone had to whip them into shape after you left."
"I can see that. Good job, Aurora."
A wide smile broke out on Aurora’s face, and she quickly turned to the side, unwilling to show the intense shade of red that had appeared on her face.
The other Ravensteins watched with baffled expressions.
Aurora, who always wore a serious and cold expression, was now blushing from being praised.
"Bro, we should have printed pictures of him and hung them around the camp. Maybe then she wouldn’t have been so hard on us." Nate whispered.
Several snickers broke out, but they were instantly silenced when Aurora snapped her head back toward them, her eyes narrowing dangerously.
"Who said that?"
Nate immediately pointed at Lucas.
Lucas’s expression turned blank. "…I hate you."
Aurora let it go with a stare filled with warning.
It was a scene that made Atticus break into laughter, earning another glare from Aurora, which only made him laugh even more.
Afterward, Atticus accompanied the group to their makeshift camp, where he noted several earth-made buildings along with multiple campfires. The Ravensteins were elementalists, so this much wasn’t shocking.
Atticus didn’t stay long. After chatting with Aurora and answering a lot of questions from the others, vaguely, he excused himself.
Although she tried hard not to seem sad, Atticus still made sure to assure her that he would return sometime later.
After He Left—
"Are you okay, bro? You didn’t even make any effort to talk to him…" Nate approached Lucas, who rested against a tree.
While the other Ravensteins had bombarded Atticus with questions, Lucas had somehow limited any interaction.
"The training affected me more than I expected," Lucas smiled. "I’m fine. He said he would come back, so there’s plenty of time to see him."
Nate seemed skeptical, but he shrugged it off. "I guess you did get your ass handed to you hard, huh?" He tapped Lucas on the shoulder lightly before settling down beside him, not caring about the dirt.
While they each tried to recover from the arduous training, Atticus visited one more island.
Above the Skies—
Atticus instantly found his target.
However, his gaze couldn’t help but sharpen in the next instant as his mismatched eyes locked with a pair of intense brown ones.
’He sensed me?’ Atticus thought, his gaze locking onto Kael down below.
He was slightly shocked that the boy had been able to sense him, even though he had hidden his aura well.
