Chapter 47 - Magic Formula's [1]

The carriage, Zane and Eris was riding came to a stop.

Zane stared at the familiar castle in front of him, still admiring its beautiful structure. It would probably take a month for him to get used to such a beautiful palace.

As the carriage came to a stop, a butler was waiting for him. The butler then opened the door of the carriage, waiting for Zane to step out.

As soon as the door of the carriage was opened by the butler, he immediately stepped out.

He then looked around his surroundings. He could see more people than what he saw before. Some were knights, and some were Thaleward's just like him.

However, they couldn't really see him that much since he was being covered by the carriage. Eris, meanwhile was on the other side of the carriage.

Since there was nothing to cover her up, she was exposed by the eyes of the people around her.

Zane could see that even in the main castle, people admired her.

The knights, the Thaleward's. They couldn't help but take a glance at her.

As soon as she got out of the carriage, she immediately headed towards Zane. Who was on the other side of the carriage.

Seeing as Eris headed towards him, he glance at her.

"Well, I'll be going now, Zane."

Zane smiled, staring at her for a moment. He then said in a casual tone:

"Yeah, see you."

He paused for a moment, he then added:

"...And also, thanks."

As Eris was turning away from Zane, she couldn't help but stop, the moment those words came out of Zane's mouth. She then slowly turned her head towards him, and said:

"...Your welcome, little brother. And hopefully, you won't get in trouble again."

With that, she walked away. Walking towards the building, where many Thaleward's can be seen.

It wasn't really that far away, and Zane could see the building clearly from where he was.

Zane watched as she disappeared in the distance, as well as the carriage who had took them in Obsidian Crown.

Zane then headed inside the palace where he had been assigned with.

'First day feels like shit, but at the same time it felt good."

Zane then headed in his bedroom, feeling the weight of the day on both his shoulders. It was almost night time, and he was going back in the academy tomorrow. Honestly, he just wanted to lay down on his bed all day.

As soon as he arrived in his bedroom, he immediately headed towards his bed and jumped on it, feeling the soft mattress with his entire body.

'Ah, finally.'

He lied down in his bed for a while. Moments afterwards, he rose up from his bed and went to his closet. He then grabbed his sleeping clothes.

Of course, Zane wasn't going to sleep without changing again. The last time he did, he smelled like shit.

He dressed up for a while, and then headed to his table, with tons of books scattered in it. Well, atleast it looked like a book. There were atleast, seven of it.

'Seven, advance magic spells. Four of it is of the lightning affinity and three of it is of the ice affinity.'

'Last time, I was able to learn five basic magic spells, and three advance spells in just three days.'

'So, I should be able to learn all of this in less than a week. Well, hopefully.'

This content is taken from fгeewebnovёl.com.

The reason why Zane was doubtful of his ability to learn all of this in less than a week was because these advance spells he had picked up in the library, wasn't just any advance spells.

There were three ranks of basic spells and advance spells. Which is low teir, mid tier, and high tier.

And Zane had learned, one mid tier advance spell which is the Thunder Spear, and the rest of the advance spell he had learned that time were low teir. Learning the high tier basic spells weren't really that hard for him though, but it still took long for him to learn all of it.

And all the magic formula he had picked were all of the high tier rank. Which means it would take him much longer to learn all of it.

Thinking about all the sleeps he had to rob from himself, just so he could learn all those spells, ache Zane's heart.

- Sigh

'If only Velrath could transfer as much spells he could to me...'

However, that unfortunately wasn't possible. Since, Velrath could only transfer one of his spells in a week. Which means, he would have to wait for another week if he transferred one of his spells to him.

'He did say he was able to transfer one spell every day, back when he still wasn't sealed, though.'

'Speaking of Velrath, where is he? It's almost night time and he still isn't back.'

[Hey, Zane.]

Hearing a familiar voice, he looked away from the magic formula's scattered in the table. He then looked behind him, staring at the human-like demon with confusion on his face.

[Velrath? You're finally back, where the hell have you been?]

[Nevermind that, I have bad news.]

[What?]

Velrath paused for a moment, he then said the words that would haunt Zane for the rest of the night.

[It's about the Dreadwood Forest. I heard from the knights that, the monsters there had mysteriously disappeared. Only few of them remained, and the forest has also been damaged greatly. And now, people are looking for the one who had caused it. It's possible they might use a footprint tracker on who had been there that night...]

Hearing Velrath's voice, he couldn't help but be horrified.

[And who's fault is that!]

[...]

[Actually, its both our fault. But, still!]

[However, don't worry yet, Zane. The forest was greatly damaged, remember? It's possible they won't be able to find your footprint at all.]

Hearing Velrath's word's, he couldn't help released a heavy sigh once again.

[You should've said that sooner!]

Velrath crossed his arms, he then said with a calm voice.

[But, we should still be as cautious as possible, life is unpredictable, after all.]
