Ascension of The Unholy Immortal-Chapter 324: Secret gathering
In the vast and desolate expanse beyond the four cardinal realms, where silence and stillness reigned supreme, four enigmatic figures clad in black robes stood facing one another. Three of them were men, while the fourth appeared to be a woman.
"You claimed that the seal could not be broken," accused one of the men, his voice icy.
"There should be no known entity capable of breaching such a formidable seal," replied another man, his tone equally solemn.
"Indeed. We have maintained vigilant surveillance over all potential threats, including the Pavilion," added the third man, a hint of perplexity evident in his voice. "Our agents within the Pavilion have detected no anomalous activity."
The gaze of the first man shifted to the lone female figure, his expression a mixture of bewilderment and accusation. "Fellow Daoist Yun, are you absolutely convinced that the seal has indeed been broken?"
Yun, as she was known, met his gaze with unwavering assurance. "I am certain." Her gaze then drifted to a distant point, her voice adopting a contemplative tone. "Mr. Fisherman, you have been closely monitoring the Dong Clan, have you not?"
Mr. Fisherman inclined his head. "They have dispatched only three juniors. The most formidable among them, Dong Tian Shu, has recently ascended to the Divine realm. He lacks the necessary prowess to breach the seal."
"Who are the other two?" Yun inquired.
"One is Dong Tian Zi, who has also recently entered the Divine Realm, albeit even more recently than Tian Shu."
The first man scoffed dismissively, "Mere youths could never wield such power."
"Indeed," Fisherman agreed, "However..." A pause fell as he hesitated slightly, "The third individual raises some suspicion. We have sought information about him, but have only uncovered his name and recent activities, which are public knowledge."
"What is his name?" the first man asked, his voice laced with a hint of curiosity.
"He is known as Liang," Fisherman replied, summoning a projection of Liang’s likeness.
A moment of silence descended upon the group before surprise flared in the eyes of both Yun and the first man.
Fisherman observed their reactions with growing confusion.
"Liang Yifei, a former member of the Legion, was believed to have perished," the first man said thoughtfully.
Fisherman’s eyes widened in astonishment before he nodded. It was not uncommon for cultivators to abandon their previous paths and seek new ones.

"What of your knowledge, Miss Yun? What can you tell us of this man?" Fisherman asked.
Yun pondered for a moment before replying, "I know him by the name Kai, a Void Cultivator."
The four experts fell silent, their expressions darkening.
"It is not yet certain," Yun said, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "When I last encountered him, he had only reached the Dao Integration realm. It is inconceivable that his mastery over the void could have advanced to such an extent in such a short time."
"Yet he now stands at the Divine realm, comparable to a Void Transformation expert," Fisherman remarked wryly.
"What is your suggestion, Mr. Meliodas?" the first man inquired.
Meliodas remained unperturbed. "We must observe and ascertain who will ultimately claim the prize."
"Should we not wager on its outcome?" the first man suggested.
Meliodas shook his head. "The Pavilion will be scrutinizing every movement. Such a venture would be imprudent."
The other three nodded in agreement.
"What of this Liang?" Fisherman asked, his tone grim.
"I shall deal with him," the first man said with a sinister chuckle.
Meliodas nodded. "It is settled, then."
Without further words, the four figures disappeared into the void, leaving behind only the cold and unforgiving silence once more.

In a secluded chamber near the grand Pavilion, Mi Ling uttered a grim question, "Who could she possibly be?"
A mischievous chuckle reverberated from the black-robed figure seated nearby. "My dear Mi Ling, you have unwittingly drawn the attention of a formidable entity."
Mi Ling snorted dismissively, "Her strength defies reason. Even Stardevour Daoist could not match her."
With a hint of nostalgia in his voice, the black-robed man replied, "Her name is Revenant Sai. While it may not ring any bells to you, it evokes a stirring recollection for us ancients." He sighed before continuing, "In her prime, she captivated all with her unparalleled elegance, power, and beauty."
Mi Ling’s gaze narrowed at this revelation. "To such an extent?"
The black-robed man nodded solemnly. "Even Wu, pursued her relentlessly, only to ultimately relinquish his efforts."
"Martial Rising Realm Lord?" Mi Ling’s thoughts raced. "You mean that legendary figure?"
"Indeed," the black-robed man confirmed. "Is there any means of confronting her?" Mi Ling inquired, a hint of frustration in her voice. "Her powers confound my calculations, making it impossible to predict or counteract her moves."
The black-robed man chuckled softly. "Of course, you cannot. Revenants possess a paradoxical nature. Though not fully deceased, they bear the characteristics of the dead."
Mi Ling’s eyes flickered with comprehension. "They lack fate lines and destiny strings."
"Precisely," the black-robed man affirmed. "The only option is to overpower her, but even that will not suffice to vanquish her completely."
"What do you propose?" Mi Ling asked, frustration evident in her tone.
"That brat named Kai, will not remain by her side indefinitely. They will likely part ways after the auction concludes," the black-robed man eyes flickered coldly
Mi Ling nodded in agreement. "I can only hope." As she turned to depart, a sudden question arose from the black-robed man: "Any updates on Liang?"
Mi Ling paused, silence consuming the chamber. Finally, she spoke, her voice cold and devoid of emotion. "My powers are unable to locate him." Then, a glimmer of interest sparked in her gaze. "But fear not. Our paths will cross soon enough."
A curious expression flitted across the cloaked figure’s face as he watched Mi Ling disappear into the darkness.
"It won’t be long now," he exhaled a mournful sigh.
Though gravely wounded in the past, he had encountered something beyond imagination.
A cosmic gateway shimmering before him, a vortex of chaotic energies and distorted laws of existence. He felt like an insignificant mortal in its presence.
While he contemplated its enigmatic nature, a brilliant beam of light erupted from the portal’s depths. It lasted but a fleeting moment, yet he etched its image into his memory - a black mirror encased within the ethereal ray.
Compelled by an irresistible force, he pursued the mirror through the labyrinthine corridors of the portal, eventually emerging into the ethereal realm of Spiritdrift World.
Upon his arrival, an ambush sent him teetering on the brink of death.
As a last desperate measure, he severed a fragment of his consciousness, concealing it from his assailant’s perception.
His consciousness drifted undetected into Spiritdrift World, relentlessly tracking the enigmatic mirror. Its journey culminated at the precipice of the Hanging Cloud Abyss.
At that instant, a sense of impending doom washed over him, surpassing any terror he had ever experienced. Fear paralyzed him, preventing him from venturing further into the abyss.
He lingered on its periphery, his divine sense reaching out to observe the mirror. To his astonishment, a young man approached, his seemingly random path guiding him directly to its location.
As a mere wisp of consciousness with limited spiritual power, he could only witness Liang claiming the mirror and disappearing into the abyss. However, he seared his aura and essence into his memory.
Now, having regained his former strength, he couldn’t wait to retrieve the mirror and avenge its theft.
