Aromatic Flesh-Chapter 118.3: Demon Sect Leader’s Holy Maiden Concubine (10)
Chapter 118.3: Demon Sect Leader’s Holy Maiden Concubine (10)
The original narrative and plot progression of this mission world should have unfolded as follows: Upon his return to Tai Su Island, Jia Ling quickly discerned Gu LiuGuang’s abnormality. This was because, apart from her appearance, she bore no resemblance to the number one beauty of the martial world as rumoured. And, as the male lead of this world who possessed god-tier abilities, he would soon seize the real number one beauty in his palms easily.
It was only natural that Gu QingHui had been impulsive, thinking that she could rescue his sister from the Demonic Sect with her martial prowess. Hence she had not anticipated being captured by Jia Ling before achieving her objective.
As for the martial alliance leader’s abilities, which had led to the loss of both his daughters, let’s not delve into that for now. After all, the original work portrayed the male lead as a powerful and malevolent demon sect leader, and entirely unmatched in the world.
Otherwise, without possessing powerful martial skills, how could he assume the role of a villain who abducts the female lead and subjects her to torment?
Though, Jia Ling did not make a fuss about capturing Gu QingHui. He found himself with a pair of beautiful sisters – one renowned for her beauty and skills, and the other an unknown with an identical face. The two were like light and shadow, a fascinating contrast.
He intended to keep them as his playthings, focusing on humiliating Gu QingHui. Unlike Gu LiuGuang, who was timid and ignorant, Gu QingHui resisted with all her might, determined to bring about her demise along with his. Yet, her efforts were futile, and they only fueled Jia Ling’s desire to conquer her.
This was why he soon began to take an interest in her.
The two spent every waking moment together, engaging in passionate lovemaking. He trained her body unendingly, and unknowingly developing feelings for her as a person. Meanwhile, she should have despised him to the core, wishing to drink his blood and consume his flesh in every of her waking hours. Yet, even her body and heart were stirred by the man, and she fell in love with the criminal who destroyed her life.
Thus began the peculiar interaction between the male and female leads. One might say that their initial encounter was driven by carnal desires, the subsequent times became addictive, quickly turning into confessed love, and finally promised a lifetime together.
For argument’s sake, let’s assume that the male and female leads were irresistibly drawn to each other. The psychological journey from satisfying their desires to falling in love was too intricate to be discussed here.
However, since these two were willing participants, they could be likened to a pair of necking mandarin fish. So, why involve others? Why involve Gu LiuGuang at all?
At thirty years old, Jia Ling had no children, as he harboured a scheme to mock all the martial world’s heroes: aiming to use the daughter of the martial alliance leader to bear his child. But even if this child wasn’t his heir, he couldn’t simply select any woman and instruct her to bear his offspring.
The children of every Shendai Sect leader had to undergo a special ceremony passed down through generations before they could be born: Baptism.
Baptism served two primary purposes. Firstly, it ensured the mother’s physical capability to carry a child for ten months and deliver it without complications. Secondly, it testified to the potency of the Sect Leader himself and the woman chosen by fate to bear his child.
What good could possibly arise from a Demonic Sect ceremony? It wasn’t an ordinary ritual involving bathing, incense burning, fasting, and scripture recitations before a divine altar. It entailed bathing, incense burning, and moaning beneath a man.
To guarantee the woman’s fertility, she would need to receive the essence of the Shendai Sect’s high-ranking members, akin to the masters of the Faction of Protectors. To establish the superiority of the Sect Leader’s seed and the woman’s selection by destiny, the Shendai Sect Leader could only consummate with her after the other men had deposited their essence within her.
This ritual recurred every two days from the outset, with no constraints on location or time. The sole consideration was how to impregnate the woman; while the Sect Leader always entered her last.
This cycle persisted day after day. If the woman chosen by the Sect Leader successfully conceived and bore his son, she would ascend to the position of Madam of the Sect. If the child was not his, it would be claimed by one of the Protectors to be raised as their own, given their shared bloodline. Women who failed to bear a son for the Sect Leader forfeited their chance of becoming Madam of the Sect forever. After that, the Sect Leader would select another woman and repeat the ritual until he obtained an heir.
The Madam of the Sect from the previous generation hailed from the Miao border. She had given birth to Jia Ling, while her elder sister, who was also her twin, had failed to conceive the Sect Leader’s son and instead bore Jia Luo and Jia Ning.
In the original plot, Jia Ling couldn’t bear the thought of another man touching his beloved, so he opted for Gu LiuGuang to take Gu QingHui’s place in the ceremony.
This was why Gu MingYue couldn’t gauge the depth of Jia Ling’s feelings for Gu QingHui, but it was apparent in the original plot that he held Gu QingHui in higher regard than Gu LiuGuang.
It was understandable. Naturally, the clever and intelligent twin would be more likeable than the stupid and foolish one, especially when it came to something as important as bearing a child.
Unfortunately, before the ceremony could be carried out, Gu LiuGuang was killed by her own father during the attack on the Shendai Sect by the major sects of the Martial Alliance. It was difficult to tell Gu LiuGuang and Gu QingHui apart based on appearance alone, however, Jia Ling knew that the one killed was Gu LiuGuang, and so did Gu ZhenKai.
The only difference was that the people of the martial world thought that Gu QingHui had died.
In the original plot, Jia Ling held Gu LiuGuang’s body and put on a show of grief and rage. He then led the Shendai Sect to fight back against the major sects, then faked an injury after exhausting himself.
Meanwhile, the major sects were unable to break through Shendai’s defences, as the location of Outlying Cloud Valley made it easy to defend and difficult to attack, and the sects’ supplies were running low. It was only a matter of time before they returned empty-handed.
Of course, Jia Ling knew this clearly. So he sent people to negotiate with each sect, promising that the Shendai Sect would not leave Tai Su Island while he lived, and that they would trade rare minerals from the island for medicinal herbs from the outside world. They would also pay compensation in gold and silver for their past transgressions.
Given such options, the sects had made their decision, but they didn’t want to be the first to speak up, so they begged Gu ZhenKai to make the call.
However, as Jia Ling met with Gu ZhenKai, he first put on a show of sorrow and grief, then told him that Gu QingHui was safe but pregnant.
His words caused the Alliance Leader Gu to be overcome with shame and fury. He knew not a single word of Jia Ling’s had been true, but there was nothing he could do. Not only did he grieve for having killed his own daughter, but he also hated that he couldn’t kill this demon himself. All he wished was to grind his bones to dust.
However, Gu QingHui was pregnant, and he did not want to lose another daughter. The world already knew that “Gu QingHui” was dead, and the scandalous news that the Demonic Sect had taken away Gu ZhenKai’s pair of precious pearls as their own would be much too shameful to reveal.
At that moment, Gu ZhenKai could not help but spit out a mouthful of blood and gritted his teeth as he agreed to Jia Ling’s terms.
The Alliance Leader would safely preserve his reputation, and true enough, his righteous act of killing his own daughter won him much praise, while Jia Ling had won a beauty.
It was the perfect ending, if we ignore the fact that Gu LiuGuang was the only collateral damage, left only as a forgotten soul with nowhere to speak of her sorrow.
In the original plot, when Gu QingHui learned of her younger sister’s death, she suddenly came to her senses. She couldn’t forgive her father or Jia Ling, and most of all, she could not forgive herself. She reversed her martial qi flow and severed all her meridians in an attempt to take her own life – however, she was saved by Jia Ling but at the cost of losing all of her memories.

She ran from death, and now, she ran from life. Gu QingHui was weak. If she possessed even the slightest bit of courage, why not devise a plan to kill Jia Ling before going to the underworld?
After the incident, under Jia Ling’s influence, Gu QingHui accepted the Baptism and became the vessel to bear a child for the Sect Leader. And once Gu QingHui gave birth, she officially became the Madam of the Sect.
From then on, the two were inseparable for the rest of their lives.
However, it wasn’t a long life. Jia Ling, who was plagued by the poison of lust, had a short lifespan to begin with. After having her meridians severed and giving birth, Gu QingHui was also frail…
The original ending of this story was difficult to describe, as it was neither good nor bad. It surely was not satisfying, but it also didn’t make one want to gnash their teeth in hatred. It was like a hazy mist that surrounded the underworld, filled with honeyed words and ridiculous promises, and laughter that hid sorrow.
Gu MingYue hadn’t known that Jia Ling would have Gu QingHui take her place in the Baptism. Even if she did know now, it was useless; it would only add to her troubles.
However, she could not allow Jia Ning or any of the Shendai Sect Protectors to get close to Gu QingHui. No matter what Jia Ling’s intentions were, she had to complete her mission herself.
As long as she endured the ceremony with every man who had relations with the female lead, only would she consider this part of her mission completed.
But when Gu MingYue thought about Jia Ling, she felt the suffocation returning.
He was a mystery that was beyond the control of the plot and her understanding.
