Bai Meiyue walked behind Shen Zhen and patted her on the shoulder when she saw that the woman was standing on the spot with a silly face. When she saw that Shen Zhen was not responding, she exchanged a look with Meng Suisui. The two of them turned to look at Shen Zhen and called her once again, but the woman didn’t respond. Soon, the space between the two buildings was engulfed by a transparent ice bridge. Behind the pillar, soon a small bridge made of ice started to emerge.

Meng Suisui, on the other hand, rushed downstairs and started to hunt zombies because she wanted to collect the crystal nuclei for Bai Meiyue and herself. Bai Meiyue was right; they needed a lot of crystal nuclei to continue fighting this group of zombies. Or else they would end up dying.

While the two of them were busy with one thing after another, there were a bunch of shots fired at the other side of the safe zone. Hearing the sound of gunshots, both Bai Meiyue and Meng Suisui paused and turned to look in the direction from which the sound of firing was coming.

Hearing the panicked gunshots sound, Bai Meiyue was more or less aware of what was going on. She turned her attention back to the ice bridge, as it was more important than the gunshots. Anyway, she knew who it was and why the shots were being fired in such a panic-driven state.

"What are you doing? Hurry up!"

Outside the safe zone, the mutated bugs had already started to attack the safe base’s outer areas and the zombie wave had gotten thicker and much stronger than before. Neither wave was showing any tendency to fall back, which terrified Chief Lin. He had sent a few low-level ability users, who were of no use to him, but they never returned. In the end, he had no choice but to send some high-level ability users, and that was when he found out that there was a rather strong wave of the mutated bugs, and that was not all. There was something that was attracting the zombies of the entire safe base to the centre zone.

Because of this, the streets were dangerously packed, and no one could escape or drive past these streets, but at the same time, it was the best time for them to escape. The zombies were not paying attention to them, which meant that they could escape without being caught.

Thus, Chief Li asked them to move as soon as possible. Before the tide of mutated bugs and corpse wave reached to where they were staying at the moment.

So Dacheng and Lu Yin had no other choice but to work all day and night, organising survivors and ability users. All day long, they had to collect the supplies and then arrange for the water resources to be collected in a place lest they forget something. After all, they were worried that the wave of the mutated bugs was only going to get even worse with each passing second. So, when they still had time, they might as well escape this place before things went out of control.

What was more, they still needed to arrange the escape route of the women, the elderly and the children.

Standing in front of the army vehicle, with his luggage packed and prepared to be taken away. The man looked at Chief Li, who was standing in front of him, and sneered coldly, "Are you really going to arrange for these elderly and children to go away with you? The women are still usable; at least we can get these women to reproduce with the ability users, but what kind of advantages do these children and the elderly even have? These old people and children are simply a drag."

"Dacheng wants to take them along with them. Do you think that you can ignore his requests?"

What is the point of taking them together with us? Can they even awaken? Isn’t it a shame to bring them along with us?
