Apocalypse with my SSS Harem Beauties-Chapter 75: Three Fronts
The ground quaked even harder as the first titan’s malformed limbs dragged forward. The ribs clatter and make loud noises.
Myles forced himself to think quickly. If they all charged together they would be crushed from different sides.
The only chance was to divide and pin each monster down before the hooded giant turned the fight into something worse. Right now it was not just him who can put up a fight with the enemies. There were Nadine and Victor who now wielded their own magical weapons.
He turned to the group and spoke with a voice sharp and cutting through the groans of bone and lanternfire. "There are three titans so there would be three fights. We’ll split!"
His hand cut the air, pointing with hard precision.
"I’ll take the titan with its skull spiraling. Daniel, Ryan, and Sam, you’re with me!"
Daniel spat to the side and grinned with a savage edge.
Ryan’s jaw trembled but the former squad captain stepped forward without hesitation.
Sam’s small frame shook, but she clenched her fists around the makeshift spear she held and nodded once.
Myles’ gaze shifted to Victor besides him who stood unflinching.
"Victor, you lead the fight against the titan with rib mace. Take George and Ethan."
Victor gave a single firm nod. George’s face had gone pale, but he swallowed hard and tightened his grip on the machete he carried. Ethan, who was still just a young teenage boy, looked terrified but fortunately also determined, his knuckles white as he raised his weapon.
Finally, Myles’ eyes landed on Nadine. Her red and black spear gleamed with its awakened light, and her posture was solid as a pillar.
"Nadine, the last titan is yours. Clara and Kade are with you. I will finish my part first then help you. Until then, please hold on."
Nadine’s lips pressed into a hard line, then she jabbed the butt of her spear into the ground and nodded.
Clara’s face was drawn tight with fear, but she adjusted her stance and gave Nadine a grim nod.
Kade let out a breath between his teeth and muttered a curse, but he moved to Nadine’s side.
The division was made. The ten of them will fight against three rotten bone titans at once.
The titans dragged closer with pounding steps through the gravefield.
The lantern giant swung its chains again behind them, orange fire scattering across bone spires.
The air and mist groaned as if the whole land was under the command of that sway.
Myles lifted his weapon and spoke.
"Stick to your groups, don’t scatter! Hold them down and survive as best as you can. Whoever finishes first helps the others!" His voice carried to all of them.
The three fronts are set.
The battlefield rumbled.
And then, the clash began.
It was instant and violent.
The Skull Spiral Titan lumbered toward Myles’ group, its torso writhing with hundreds of skulls that clicked their jaws in unison and producing a disturbing cacophony.
The eye sockets there burned with pale blue fire, the flames sweeping across the field as if searching for prey. Everyone of them.
With every step the thing dragged its clawed arms wide.
Myles dashed forward, his short sword with red veins humming and vibrating faintly in his grip.
CLANG!
He parried the first claw swipe, the shockwave jolting through his arms, then twisted his body to the side to avoid the follow-up smash.
Daniel rushed in with gritted teeth, bringing his weapon down on the titan’s shin bone. The blade bit shallowly, sparks flashing against the rotten bone.
Meanwhile Ryan circled wider, thrusting with his weapon to distract the beast.
Sam stayed close, her smaller spear trembling in her hands, but when the titan’s leg came down again, she jabbed hard at its joint.
The attack barely left a scratch, but it made the titan stumble a bit.
The Titan with mace bones moved differently. Its upper limbs had mutated into a grotesque fan of ribs and spines, and it swung it like enormous mace.
The motions tore the air with a howling sound of wind and when the limbs crashed into the earth, they left deep gouges.
Victor jumped and then charged again after he managed to dodge the first attack. His large cleaver knife glowing faintly with energy and deflected one strike by sliding along the rib surface.
CLANG!
SHRRKKK!
Sparks rained out as the blade carved a gash on the bones.
Ethan darted in after him, trying to stab into the gaps, but the titan’s other arm swept across and nearly crushed him. He barely dodged. If it was him before the level ups he got was sure that he would already be dead.
George yanked the boy back further after he rolled just as the rib-mace came again at him. .
Dust and bone fragments showered the three, forcing them to scatter wide.
Meanwhile, Nadine’s group faced the most unnerving foe they have ever encountered. The bone titan with spine-talon.
Its elongated body coiled like a serpent, finger bones stretched into talons dripping ichor.
Its swipe was sharp, fluid, and deceptively fast. Nadine met its first lunge with her spear and sparks bursting as she slid the weapon along the talons, deflecting the strike upward.
She pivoted on her heel and sent a counter thrust, red-black light flashing as the tip pierced shallow into the monster’s ribbed torso. Veinpiercer-the spear’s skill that adds armor penetration starts to be activated at this point.
Clara followed up with a wild swing of her iron bar, smashing it against one protruding bone to knock the talons off course.
Kade circled to the flank while cursing under his breath but he was slashed nonetheless with his weapon at the exposed spine.
The weapon glanced off, but the distraction gave Nadine another opening to jab again.
The three titans did not fight with blind fury—they moved as if conducted by the hooded giant’s lantern swings.
Every time the orange fire swayed, the abominations shifted their rhythm.
Attacks that should have been predictable suddenly changed tempo, forcing the survivors to adjust with frantic dodges and parries.
Myles rolled under a claw swipe, dirt spraying into his mouth as the skull spiral titan slammed down where he’d stood.
He then surged upward, driving his sword into the monster’s thigh joint. He managed to cut deeper this time. His Bloodthirsty Slash passive skills plus his Fangblade skill keep adding damage to the titan, crumbling its defense consecutively.
Blue flame hissed from the wound and several of the skulls on its chest screamed in unison.
Victor ducked under another rib-mace swing then vaulted onto the monster’s forearm.
His cleaver drove deep between two spines, wedging itself into bone.
He grunted and twisted, carving a wide crack.
Ethan thrust his weapon into the same spot, making the fissure widen as the titan roared.
Nadine held the talons at bay while spinning her spear in a blur to deflect one swipe, then planting her feet and thrusting hard enough to push the titan back.
Sweat poured down her face, but her stance never faltered.
Clara shouted as she cracked her bar into the talons again, forcing them apart.
Kade leapt at the opening and slashed at the dripping ichor sacs.
His blade tore them open, dark fluid spraying like oil, sizzling where it struck the ground.
The battlefield had become chaotic fast. Dust clouds rising, lanternfire swaying, bone shrieking, and the survivors moving in hard but coordinated bursts.
Every breath was spent in movement like ducking, weaving, slashing, thrusting, retreating, and pressing forward again.
But despite the scars carved into their colossal bone body, the titans did not weaken as fast as they hoped.
They pushed harder, the lantern giant’s sway fueling their fury.
