Apocalypse with my SSS Harem Beauties-Chapter 181: Rain
Lilian rarely involved herself directly in their fights. Most of the time she simply watched from the side, observing everything with indifference or annoyance. But now she stepped forward and offered to help them.
"The wall is too strong for you," she said calmly.
None of them doubted her words. If anything, they felt relieved to hear that she was willing to intervene. Lilian had already shown glimpses of her power before. If she said the wall was beyond their strength, then it probably was.
Samantha raised a hand slightly. "Do you know anything about the wall?"
Lilian glanced at it again before answering.
"It’s not just stone," she said. "The structure is reinforced with high-tier spells. With your current strength you could eventually destroy it, but it would take a very long time."
She gave a small sigh.
"I don’t want to waste time here." Her voice became firmer. She said, "So let’s start."
A moment later Lilian spread her jet-black wings.
The massive wings unfolded behind her with a smooth motion, each feather gleaming darkly under the artificial sunlight. She lifted off the ground and began floating several meters above them.
At that moment something changed.
The aura she had always hidden suddenly spilled outward.
An overwhelming pressure filled the air around her. It felt vast and ancient, Lilian looked like a powerful being that had been sleeping until now.
The group looked up in stunned silence.
Once again they were reminded that Lilian was not a normal existence like them.
Myles watched her with clear admiration in his eyes.
Lilian noticed that. She tilted her head slightly and looked down at him from above.
"You’re enchanted by my charm, aren’t you?" she asked with a teasing smile.
"Yes," Myles replied immediately. The answer left his mouth before his brain caught up. A second later his face turned red.
Lilian laughed. "Ahahaha."
Her laughter sounded light and melodious, echoing gently across the open space. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
George slapped Myles lightly on the shoulder. "It’s okay, mate. If I were you, I’d blush too."
Clara crossed her arms and shook her head with a grin. "Hell, even I’m blushing, Myles. I don’t know how you’re still holding yourself together in front of Lilian."
A small laugh spread through the group.
Myles sighed helplessly. At this point there was no stopping them from teasing him.
"Come on," he said finally. "We’ve got a wall to breach."
They began running toward the massive structure while Lilian flew above them.
Suddenly a streak of bright blue light shot out from somewhere along the wall.
It moved so fast it was almost impossible to see.
The beam slammed straight into Lilian.
BOOM!
A violent explosion of blue energy erupted in the air.
The shockwave spread everywhere and knocked Myles and the others off balance, forcing them to stumble across the ground.
Lilian was blasted backward several meters before crashing into the ground with a heavy impact. Dust burst into the air.
"Lilian!" Myles shouted.
A second later a figure shot upward from the dust cloud. Lilian emerged and rose back into the air.
"I’m fine!" she shouted down. Her face twisted with visible anger. "How dare those creatures hit me with something like that!"
As if responding to her words, several more streaks of blue light fired from the city wall.
They rained toward the group like deadly projectiles.
"Oh shit!" Ethan cursed loudly. "What do we do?!"
"We can’t dodge that many!" Myles shouted back. "We need to use our skills to destroy the attacks, while moving closer to the wall!"
Ethan didn’t bother answering. The moment Myles finished shouting, he already raised both of his Ether pistols.
"Thank god my MP is already full again," he muttered.
He immediately activated his skill, Overclock Cataclysm.
A sharp mechanical hum came from his twin pistols as Ether energy surged through the weapons. The guns vibrated slightly in his hands before unleashing a storm of glowing bullets.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The pistols fired rapidly toward the incoming rain of blue projectiles. Ether bullets streaked across the air like glowing comets.
Samantha reacted at the same time.
She planted her feet firmly and pulled her bowstring back. Ether energy gathered around her weapon.
A swirling portal suddenly opened behind her back. Her bow skill also activated.
From the portal, countless Ether arrows shot forward in a continuous stream, flying toward the descending blue lights.
Meanwhile, Myles and the others charged forward.
Myles, Victor, George, Daniel, Kade, and Clara sprinted toward the massive city wall with their weapons ready.
They all understood the situation clearly. None of them had defensive skills capable of blocking something like this so the only option was to destroy the incoming attacks with their own attacks.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Ether bullets and arrows collided with the falling blue projectiles above them. Explosions of blue light erupted everywhere. Shockwaves spread through the air again and again as projectiles clashed midair.
Below the chaos, the rest of the group fought through the barrage.
Myles moves and uses his Shadow Rend skill.
His Fangblade sliced through the air. A large crescent-shaped slash of dark energy flew upward and tore through several incoming projectiles.
George roared loudly as he swung his massive hammer. "Come here, you bastards!"
The hammer smashed through the air again and again, destroying blue projectiles that came too close.
Victor stepped forward and swung his cleaver weapon. Greenish energy followed the blade as he sent sharp slashes upward to intercept the attacks.
Kade rushed forward with clenched fists.
Instead of dodging, he simply punched the blue projectiles that came directly at him and shattered them into bursts of blue light and sparks of ember.
Clara spun gracefully among the falling attacks. Her frost spear flashed again and again as she stabbed and spun it through the air, breaking apart the projectiles with quick precise movements.
Daniel moved like a shadow between them.
His twin bluish daggers flashed rapidly as he blocked and parried incoming attacks, redirecting some of the projectiles before destroying them.
Even with all of them fighting back, the number of blue projectiles was overwhelming. Some slipped past their defenses and explosions erupted close to them.
Several blasts struck the ground near their feet. Others grazed their bodies.
Myles felt a sharp sting across his shoulder as one shockwave scraped past him. George grunted when a blast slammed against his side. Clara stumbled briefly after a nearby explosion sent fragments of blue energy across her arm.
They were getting hurt. It was impossible to block everything raining down on them.
But despite the damage, none of them slowed down. Step by step, they pushed forward closer and closer to the towering city wall.
