Apocalypse : Transmigrated With Milf System-Chapter 2: The Beginning
Chapter 2: The Beginning
Ruel's eyes flickered open, a strange sense of displacement lingering. He murmured, "System? Status... what's the lay of the land here?"
[Ding! Analyzing Host's current environment and accessing local data...]
A wave of fragmented memories, not his own, washed over him, solidifying into a grim understanding.
[Ding! Host nearly 70% of the world's population got infected and they either died or became zombie.]
[As to how it all happened?, well a year ago there was a meteorite that happened to crash near dragon country's desert. ]
[and the people over there saw something within the crater after the smoke washed away].
[They thaught it looked delicious and cooked it for dinner and ate it.]
[and that's how the the first case of infected came into light.]
"Apocalypse... zombies... right." He muttered, his brow furrowed in thought. "Meteorite... Dragon Country... infected dinner... Deja vu, big time."
"Where have I seen this script before?" He shook his head, dismissing the nagging familiarity. "Doesn't matter. Survival's the name of the game now."
He pushed himself to his feet, a newfound resolve hardening his gaze. "Balcony view it is."
Stepping onto the small concrete slab, the vista that greeted him was a stark tableau of devastation.
Twisted metal carcasses of cars littered the streets below, interspersed with motionless figures – the dead.
Nature, however, was a relentless conqueror, with vines snaking up skeletal skyscrapers and trees bursting through cracked pavements. "Looks like a damn disaster movie... except real." A grim chuckle escaped him.
He leaned against the railing, his gaze dropping to the sprawling apartment complex below. "Nineteenth floor of fifty... cozy." He turned back inside, his mind already cataloging potential resources. "Loot time."
A cursory search yielded a meager but essential collection: five packets of instant noodles, two decent sacks of flour.
In the kitchen, amidst scattered pork bones, he found a sturdy butcher knife.
"Looks like our previous tenant had a taste for swine." His eyes then fell on a long metal rod from a discarded clothes hanger. An idea sparked.
He set to work, jamming the point of the butcher knife onto one end of the rod. "Improvise, adapt... become a pointy stick enthusiast." Using shoelaces and strips of torn cloth, he secured the blade, creating a makeshift spear.
His gaze dropped to his lower half, clad in tattered remnants of clothing. "Right, a wardrobe." A wry smirk touched his lips as a thought crossed his mind. "Bigger pendulum this time, eh? Should make things... easier." He chuckled softly, a dark humor coloring his tone.
A thorough search of the apartment yielded nothing in the way of suitable clothing, only a collection of delicate lingerie and thongs.
He stared at the lacy garments, a look of comical resignation on his face. "Well, damn. Guess I'm embracing the nudist lifestyle for a bit." With a shrug, he stuffed the food and his makeshift spear into a salvaged bag. "Time to see what's lurking outside."
He approached the door cautiously, pressing his ear against the cold wood. Silence. He eased it open, peering into the dimly lit corridor.
The air was thick with the stench of decay, a low, guttural moaning echoing from behind closed doors. "Lovely."
Moving with a silent grace that belied his earlier clumsiness, he crept down the hallway.
Grotesque figures shuffled aimlessly, their rotting flesh and vacant eyes fixed on nothing.
He murmured, "System, any incentive for a little zombie extermination?"
[Ding! Yes Host, complete designated tasks for rewards.]
[Ding! Task: Kill Ten zombies. Reward: STR+2, HP+2, AGT+1, Instant Noodles x10, 500ml Pure Water Bottle x2.]
A mischievous glint entered his eyes. "Oh, you were just going to let me wander into that mess without a little motivation? You sly dog."
[Ding! Host, proactive inquiry is encouraged. System functions as a support mechanism based on Host's directives.]
Ruel sighed dramatically. "Right, right. My bad." He knew better than to expect altruism from the system.
Ten shambling corpses, oblivious to the silent predator behind them. Ruel moved with sudden, brutal speed.
The makeshift spear flashed, piercing the skull of the nearest zombie with a sickening crunch.
He yanked it free, a spray of viscous fluid coating the makeshift weapon, and spun to face the next. ƒreewebɳovel.com
The confined corridor amplified the gruesome sounds. "Definitely feeling a bit more... robust." He muttered, watching another zombie crumple.
"These guys are slower than rush hour traffic." He wiped the bloodied spear on a tattered curtain.
[Ding! Congratulations on completing the task!]
[Ding! Rewards: STR+2, HP+2, AGT+1, Instant Noodles x10, 500ml Pure Water Bottle x2.]
He paused, a thoughtful expression on his face. "System, stats check. Let's see what kind of beast I've become."

Ruel whistled softly. "Right then. Ten times stronger than a regular human. Well, this apocalypse just got a whole lot less terrifying."
[Ding! Task: Clear this building of all present zombies. Reward: STR+1, HP+2, AGT+1, Instant Noodles x10, Ten Pounds Pork Legs x3, 500ml Pure Water Bottle x10, Basic Swords Skills Card.]
He raised an eyebrow. "Just that for clearing the whole damn building? You're a stingy bastard, System." He sighed. "Still, better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick." He moved towards the next door, kicking it open with a resounding crash.
He spent the better part of the day systematically clearing the apartment complex, moving from the top floors down.
Each room held the same grim story – signs of hurried evacuation, scattered belongings, and the occasional shambling corpse.
He found no more usable supplies, the building having clearly been picked clean long ago.

"Raaawrr..."
**SLASH**
Ruel wiped the blood from his makeshift spear, a weary sigh escaping his lips as the last zombie on the floor collapsed. "Finally. Hours of this... and all I found was more rotting flesh."
[Ding! Congratulations on Clearing this building stemmed with zombies!]
[Ding! Rewards: STR+1, HP+2, AGT+1, Instant Noodles x10, Ten Pounds Pork Legs x3, 500ml Pure Water Bottle x10, Basic Swords Skills Card.]
He grinned faintly. "Well, at least the system's consistent with its underwhelming generosity."

Ruel stared at the notification, his jaw dropping. "...What the hell?" A slow grin spread across his face, escalating into a hearty laugh. "Hahahaha! Now that's what I'm talking about!"
He clapped his hands together. "System, receive the rewards!"
[Ding! Receiving The Reward Package has been Stored in the System Inventory.]

A rush of information flooded his mind, a torrent of knowledge about stances, parries, and strikes. A wave of heat coursed through his veins, his muscles twitching and reforming.

[Ding! Successfully Integrated Master Swords Skill Card To the Host.]
Ruel flexed his fingers, a thrill coursing through him. "Show me the panel." He knew, instinctively, that he was far more dangerous now than even moments ago.
