Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 549: Going Back to the Sect
Honestly, both of them knew that if they said something so blasphemous in the upper realm or the Immortal Realm where the heavenly dao was attentive, they would have been struck by lightning a long time ago.
Luckily for them, the heavenly dao of the lower realm was pretty idle because there were no cultivators in the last several thousand years.
"We should probably head back now. Grandpa and the others must have seen the tribulation earlier and are probably worried." Chu Miao said looking at the crater the lightning tribulation had created in the middle of the forest.
That would probably be there for hundreds of years or even thousands of years in the future.
"You are right. Let’s go back. Now we don’t have to worry too much about zombies." Ye Xuan laughed lightly waving a hand and the trees and grass in front of them withered and turned to dust.
His darkness energy had become so powerful it was unbelievable.
The two were about to teleport away from there when the weather took a sharp dive. Even though they were cultivators, they could feel the chill penetrating deep into their bones.
"Another disaster has started." Chu Miao exclaimed instinctively using spiritual power to form a thin protective barrier around her to protect herself from the cold.
"This is bad. Anyone caught off-guard would be frozen to death before they could even put on warmer clothes." Ye Xuan commented, looking far into the distance.
"We should be grateful it came during the day. Many people are able to react and put on more clothes. If it had been at night, a lot of people would have died in their sleep without even knowing how they left." Chu Miao agreed with Ye Xuan about the disaster claiming many lives.
As the two discussed the change in weather, fate seemed to mock them as icicles of all sizes began raining from the sky.
It wasn’t just one or two icicles falling, it was a dense number of them falling like hail.
This was more dangerous than hail because when it comes to hail, it was round and would just leave bruises when it hit someone.
The icicles could literally take lives because of how sharp and pointed they were.
Some were as small and thin as needles. Others were as big as an adult man standing with the thickness of an arm.
If one of those fell on someone’s head, there would be no need to even check on them. It would directly pierce their brains out.
"This is getting dangerous. Let’s go back to the village and get everyone. I hope the sect is doing well. I don’t know if big brother has remembered to activate the protection array I had built before leaving." Chu Miao sighed, at the same time, she grabbed Ye Xuan and disappeared from the spot.
They appeared outside the Liu village and walked inside the gate in a hurry.
Surprisingly, the village was intact. There were no icicles falling and the weather was only a little colder. Not cold enough to be labeled as a disaster.
Once inside the house they had been offered for training, Chu Miao and Ye Xuan called everyone to the common room and explained the situation outside.
"So, you are saying that right now anyone who dares to go outside will turn into a popsicle?" Li Pan, grandpa Li’s only granddaughter asked curiously.
"Yes. Right now, even turning into a popsicle is better than having those falling icicles skewer you." Chu Miao joked with the girl who had become a friend.
"Then let’s go back. Staying here is no longer an option. We can come back in the future when the apocalypse is not as bad as it is now." Grandpa Chu suggested and everyone agreed.
"Then can you go and say goodbye to grandpa Liu Da before we leave? You can follow us outside the village. I will take you all into the Soul Ring as soon as we leave everyone’s sight." Chu Miao turned to her grandfather and asked.
"Sure, Bunny. I will go with your grandpa Li to say goodbye. You guys pack up and wait outside for us." Grandpa Chu agreed and he and general Li left the house.
The others collected anything that belonged to them then walked out in a single group.
They said goodbye to everyone they met and walked out of the village, becoming invisible to those inside.
Grandpa Chu and Grandpa Li joined them five minutes later and Chu Miao took everyone into the Soul Ring then teleported away.
Although they were a distance from City A, she didn’t take more than five minutes to arrive inside the sect.
Luckily, Chu Hao had been very responsible and activated the defensive barrier.
To avoid scaring people who didn’t know them, Chu Miao teleported directly into their apartment inside the sect. Since she had the coordinates, it wasn’t hard.
She then brought everyone out and as if Chu Hao could sense them, he came running into the house even before they could sit down.
"Finally, you guys remembered to come home." His complaints arrived even before his body did.
"Weren’t we busy fighting zombies? Are you jealous of that as well?" Chu Miao asked, running towards her brother.
Just like when they were young, Chu Hao picked his sister up and spun her around. Both broke into laughter.
Chu Miao realized that she had missed her brother more than she had thought. After not seeing him for a couple of weeks, it felt as if two years had passed.
Now she was even more certain that she wanted to take her family to the Immortal Realm once the apocalypse was over.
"Alright, you two stop. Tell us, how has things been in the sect? Did anyone get hurt when those icicles started falling?" Grandpa Chu was happy to see his family so close and happy even in a situation where life couldn’t be called stable.
