Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 246: Going to Collect Supplies on a Yacht
Chapter 246: Chapter 246: Going to Collect Supplies on a Yacht
"Transportation is not a problem, we have a yacht. It can carry more people and also carry more supplies." Chu Hao didn’t say this out of impulse.
He had thought about it, and since all the soldiers, and possibly the other residents in their building, already knew about the yacht, it was better to expose that for the time being than let everyone know that they had too many motorboats.
Even though the other party was someone their family could trust, you never knew who was listening when so many superpowers had popped up.
It was better to be careful and keep a low profile. Of course, he wasn’t worried that others would attack his family, but the soldiers and other team members weren’t that strong yet.
It was a way of protecting them. Therefore, he talked about the yacht because it would help them keep a low profile, and it was also big enough to carry supplies for the Li family.
"You have a yacht?" Li Pan finally couldn’t keep her curiosity at bay.
Who owns a yacht in a high-rise apartment building as if they were close to the sea?
Everyone else in the room had the same question on their minds. But then they remembered the different warnings and advice Grandpa Chu had given their family and realized that the Chu family might have known a lot more than they let on.
Now, they were grateful that they were close friends, and also congratulated themselves for taking those warnings and advice seriously.
Some people in high-ranking official positions had ignored everything Grandpa Chu had said when he shared information about the looming apocalypse before it even started.
The Li family wasn’t angry because they weren’t told everything. After all, saying more than what Grandpa Chu had said might have caused trouble for the Chu family.
Instead, they were grateful that even though the Chu family didn’t tell them everything, they still included them in survival plans when they took action.
Thus, there was nothing to be dissatisfied about.
"Yes, we have a yacht. That’s how Bunny and Ye Xuan managed to bring back so many soldiers.
I think if we use it to go look for supplies tomorrow instead of using the small motor boats, we can bring back more supplies." Chu Hao stated the second reason for choosing the yacht for the Li family.
"That’s good, then. What time do we leave? And where do we meet?" Li Han, Grandpa Li’s other grandson asked.
"There is no need for such a complicated process, we can just come to pick you up at 8:00 am. The yacht is fast and will take at most two minutes to get here from our building.
Just be ready by then and we can go early and return early as well." Chu Hao refused Li Han’s implications of meeting after leaving the community and suggested picking them up.
He thought it was the best arrangement because it would keep the team together.
"Okay then. How many people are going?" This time it was Li Kian who asked the question.
He was indeed a typical soldier. Always planning ahead. It felt like he was going on a mission and had to prepare for the team’s route and retreat. Thus, he needed to know exactly how many people he had to worry about.
"I will take at most twenty people. How many people want to go from your side?" As soon as Chu Hao finished asking the question, an excited voice immediately replied.
"I am going." It was Li Pan again.
No one tried to persuade her otherwise. After all, apart from the few soldiers, everyone else there was aware of her stubborn nature. Since she had already made up her mind to go, she would definitely go no matter what everyone said.
So, no one tried to waste their breath convincing her otherwise. Besides, going out to hunt for supplies would also enrich her experience, and if they met enemies or powerful zombies, she could fight to gain combat experience.
"Elder brother, little sister, and I will be enough for tomorrow’s mission." Li Kian said after thinking about it for a moment.
There was no need to drag the elders on such a tiring mission in such heavy rain. Although everyone needed to train, the conditions had to allow them to do so. The elders and the young children were more vulnerable and could get sick easily.
The apocalypse had either improved or weakened the immunity of many. Therefore, it was best to be careful.
After everything was said, Chu Hao stood up and said goodbye.
"Let’s meet tomorrow morning." He said before walking towards the door followed by the four soldiers he came with and Li Kian, who was walking them out and also responsible for opening the door for them.
The group went back to their building and the Li family was left feeling happy because not only did they find many good foods they could cook for a sumptuous dinner that day, they also realized that they had friends who were more than family to them.
The first thing Li Pan did after Chu Hao and company left was to open a box of chocolate and take one piece from inside.
Opening the wrapper and taking a bite, she felt as if she had reached heaven.
"Mmm....I haven’t tasted such good chocolate in a long time. I can’t believe they sent a whole box!!" She exclaimed as she savoured the taste.
"Glutton." Grandpa Li scolded his granddaughter but the smile on his face couldn’t fool anyone.
The two daughters-in-law started to sort out the things on the ground while the men carried things like the bags of rice and flour to the kitchen.
All of a sudden, the kitchen that was left with only a few supplies was full again. Because of the persistent rain, their family hadn’t been able to go out to train or look for supplies.
Therefore, they had been consuming the reserves they had hidden before and we’re almost running out.
