Chapter 41: Clash of Titans

The air between Lucian and Dorian was thick with tension, an invisible pressure radiating from both men. The ruins of the battlefield stood as silent witnesses, the wind carrying the distant echoes of destruction.

Lucian's crimson eyes burned with amusement as he cracked his knuckles. "So, Dorian, are we going to talk all day, or are you finally going to show me why people think you're a threat?"

Dorian smirked, his imposing figure barely shifting as he took a slow step forward. "Always so impatient. That's your biggest flaw, Lucian. You never stop to think. You just act."

Lucian chuckled. "And yet, I'm still here."

Without warning—

BOOM!

Dorian's fist slammed into the ground, sending a shockwave rippling through the ruined streets. The sheer force of his Titan's Wrath ability shattered concrete, sending debris flying in every direction.

Lucian barely had time to react before Dorian was on him, his speed defying his massive frame.

THOOM!

Lucian twisted at the last second, narrowly avoiding a devastating blow aimed at his ribs. The wind pressure alone tore through his coat, slicing into his skin like razors.

"Not bad," Lucian muttered, sliding back and rolling his shoulders. "But I was expecting more."

Dorian didn't answer. Instead, he lunged again—faster, stronger. His fist became a blur, a relentless barrage of attacks forcing Lucian on the defensive.

BANG! BANG!

Lucian fired his pistol mid-dodge, the bullets aimed straight for Dorian's head.

CLANG!

Dorian caught them.

Lucian's eyes flickered with intrigue as the crushed bullets fell from Dorian's palm.

"So that's how it is," Lucian mused. "Your Titan's Wrath doesn't just make you stronger. It makes you damn near indestructible."

Dorian cracked his neck. "You're fast, but you're not stronger than me."

Lucian smirked. "Strength isn't everything."

Before Dorian could respond, Lucian vanished.

Dorian's instincts screamed a warning—too late.

CRACK!

Lucian reappeared behind him, his blade slicing through the air, carving a deep gash across Dorian's back. Blood sprayed.

Dorian grunted, his body healing almost instantly, but the pain was real. He turned, eyes burning with fury.

Lucian twirled his blade, licking the blood off his lips. "Looks like you're not invincible after all."

Dorian exhaled sharply. "You really think you can win?"

Lucian's grin widened. "I don't think, Dorian." He pointed his blade forward, eyes gleaming with raw excitement. "I know."

The battlefield was set. The real fight was about to begin.
