Chapter 463: Chapter 443: The Power of God

Currently, it is known that Divine-Given Seeds are born in two ways.

The first is Natural Godsend. Insects cultivate and select excellent plants that meet the criteria, which triggers Natural Law, descends Divine Power, and gives birth to a Divine-Given Seed.

The second is random birth. In the Natural Star Realm, all plants in an intense Origin Force environment may undergo life metamorphosis and derive a Divine-Given Seed.

The probability of random birth is so low it drives insects to despair.

Every spring and autumn, Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid regularly visit various Lands of Origin Force to search, and in the past two or three decades, they have only found a single Little Wild Chestnut Divine-Given Seed.

...

Dragon Cypress raised its claw to signal, interrupting the clamor and quarrels among the insects.

"Azure, are you sure it’s a random birth?"

"I’m sure—"

"How can you be sure?"

"Feeling—"

"Feeling?"

"Feeling."

"Is it accurate?"

"It shouldn’t be wrong."

"Then it won’t be wrong."

Dragon Cypress asked Ink Orchid again: "Ink Orchid, how did you discover this Divine-Given Flower Bud? Or rather, when did it appear?"

Ink Orchid was about to get what it wished for—a Molan Divine-Given Seed—but after such a commotion, it couldn’t feel happy at all and replied somewhat confused:

"I was always focused on the sky. I saw dawn break, snapped out of it, and out of habit sensed the Origin Force Fluctuations around. That’s how I found it. I don’t really know when it appeared, but it definitely wasn’t there yesterday at twilight."

Dragon Cypress said firmly: "It’s not a Natural Godsend, it’s a random birth."

"Oh—"

"Random birth? Not Natural Godsend?"

Ink Orchid had a flash of insight, suddenly excited, and hopped to ask: "Dragon Cypress, doesn’t that mean there’s still hope to trigger a Law Divine-Given and get a second Molan Divine-Given Seed?"

Dragon Cypress: "This..."

Dragon Cypress: "That’s not impossible!"

Dragon Cypress revised its words and said seriously: "Theoretically, if the conditions to trigger the Law are met, Divine-Given should descend."

"Wow!"

"Right!"

Ink Orchid vigorously nodded its tentacle.

All the insects straightened their tentacles, spirits high.

Dragon Cypress continued to analyze: "If the criteria for Divine-Given are met, then Divine-Given will surely descend. It doesn’t depend on the number of mutated Molan Seedlings. On the other hand, if the conditions to trigger Natural Godsend are not met, no matter how many seedlings there are, it’s useless."

Dragon Cypress suggested: "Ink Orchid, let’s remove some of the mutated Molan Seedlings scattered across the mountain slopes, leaving only a hundred or two near here so everyone can observe up close..."

Ink Orchid instinctively grew angry at these words, but then, thinking it over, realized it did make some sense.

Ink Orchid cautiously nodded its tentacle in agreement.

Dragon Cypress issued orders: "Black Cory, Fragrant Cypress, you each lead a team of Worker Ants and clear out the mutated Molans on the slope, leaving only a hundred or two strong ones in this pine grove."

Black Cory: "Understood."

Fragrant Cypress: "Okay—"

Black Cory and Fragrant Cypress started moving.

The insects kept watch near the pine grove.

Dragon Cypress took the chance to nap, recovering spirit, and waited for nightfall.

...

Twilight.

Watching the sun set.

All insects shifted their attention to the night sky.

Night fell,

Deep night,

Midnight,

"Dragon Cypress!"

Ink Orchid suddenly burst out, spiritual power surging as it called: "Divine-Given!"

The drowsy insects were startled awake.

In the dark night sky, a point of silvery light shone.

A thread of indescribable Origin Force Energy descended from the sky, landing in the pine grove on the slope, right beside another mutated Molan Grass that had already birthed Divine-Given.

A faint strand of power—felt up close, as if a mountain pressed upon the body, as if struck by a colossal wave, all six legs went weak and couldn’t stand, spiracles instinctively shut, and breathing stopped.

The terrifying power lasted only a brief instant before vanishing.

The watching Soldier Ants, Blue Soldiers, and Worker Ants all turned tail and fled. Seeing the Great King and all the Assistant Kings unmoved, they trickled back one by one.

All insects held their breath and waited.

Under all gazes, the mutated Molan Grass struck by Natural God Force—one of its flower spikes suddenly emitted waves of Origin Force Fluctuations.

Divine-Given!

Miracle!

A long, long silence.

Blue Catalpa stood up and said, "Is this the power of the Natural True God? Too powerful."

Fragrant Cypress said in fright: "It’s terrifying. Just now I felt myself about to die."

Silver Cypress: "You two are too weak-minded. The Great King, Second King, and I didn’t feel anything."

Fragrant Cypress: "Then why were you lying on the ground?"

Silver Cypress: "Been standing all night, got tired, so I lay down to rest."

"Enough!"

Dragon Cypress scolded, waved its tentacle, and whipped Silver Cypress on the forehead.

Another silence.

Ink Orchid jumped up, cheering: "Wow! Wow! Wow! Two Molan Divine-Given Seeds!"

Yes indeed!

A pleasant surprise,

Obtaining two Divine-Given Seeds at once!

The insects leaped and cheered with joy.

Dragon Cypress ordered: "Ink Orchid, you stay and guard here yourself. Silver Cypress, you’re not doing anything else this year, just lead the Soldier Ants and watch over this pine grove."

Ink Orchid: "Mm—"

Silver Cypress: "Understood, Great King!"

Dragon Cypress: "Fragrant Cypress, command the Worker Ants, and give each of the two Orchid Grass that are nurturing Divine-Given Seeds one Source Stone each, morning, noon, and night, to replenish their Origin Force."

Fragrant Cypress: "Yes, Great King."

Fragrant Cypress: "Great King, should we send in a squad of Specialized Green Ants to use the Flourish Ability on them?"

Dragon Cypress: "Not during the flowering stage. During the fruiting stage, once every ten days, do it carefully—don’t overdo it, they’re just ordinary, fragile Orchid Grass."

Fragrant Cypress: "Understood."

Dragon Cypress: "Another new spring is almost here. Black Cory, White Willow, I’ll send you back to Black Lotus Lake to rest up for a few days. There’ll be plenty to do soon."

Dragon Cypress: "Blue Catalpa, the show’s over, you’d best return to Kiwifruit Mountain..."

...

In a sense, the ’Divine-Given’ of the Divine-Given Seed truly is bestowed by the Natural True God.

Having personally witnessed a Law Divine-Given and felt Natural God Force up close, Dragon Cypress was brimming with confidence.

Push a bit harder, and continue expanding Black Peach cultivation.

Dragon Cypress set its sights on Southern Sour Jujube Mountain.

"Keg Vine!"

The Dominating Throne carried Black Cory, slanting down beneath the Round Leaf Keg Vine Divine-Given Seed tree.

Dragon Cypress moved forward, tentacle repeatedly tapping, four consecutive ’Flourish’ fell on the trunk.

"Dragon Cypress——"

Keg Vine: "Black Cory came too? What are you up to now?"

Black Cory: "...Planting trees."

Keg Vine: "Black Peach Trees?"

Dragon Cypress: "Yes."

Dragon Cypress: "Ink Orchid has already succeeded! Moreover, obtained two Molan Divine-Given Seeds at once."

Keg Vine: "Hm?"

Keg Vine: "Two?"

Dragon Cypress: "Good luck, random birth for one. Natural Godsend, guaranteed for another."

Keg Vine: "..."

Keg Vine: "I never thought...it could be like that..."

Keg Vine asked: "Dragon Cypress, did you all see Natural Godsend?"

Dragon Cypress: "Of course. An Origin Force Energy of infinite rank. We’re way too weak—in only a faint wisp of Divine Power, even across forty or fifty meters, we were crushed flat and couldn’t stand."

Keg Vine: "Natural True God is really that powerful?"

Keg Vine fell silent for two seconds, then asked: "So, you plan to plant more Black Peach Trees at Southern Sour Jujube Mountain?"

Dragon Cypress: "Yes."

Keg Vine’s scaffolds were set high, with vines stretched at about four meters off the ground, and the pods all hung on vines and sub-vines.

Dragon Cypress paced to the first vine, lifted its head to observe.

Normal Keg Vine pods can grow up to one meter long.

Round Leaf Keg Vine Divine-Given Seed’s pods are even more dramatic—the first batch of ten pods have reached nearly three meters in length.

Each pod holds six Keg Vine Seeds, each seed about twenty-five centimeters in diameter.

They aren’t mature yet.

Fully mature Keg Vine Seeds should reach thirty centimeters in diameter—quite astonishing.

Dragon Cypress inspected them briefly, chatted with Keg Vine for a while, then departed to check on the Little Wild Chestnut Divine-Given Seed.

The Little Wild Chestnut Divine-Given Seed is a small arbor by nature—still petite, right now at only about forty meters tall, still nurturing the tree, not flowering or fruiting yet. Dragon Cypress planned to wait until it reached fifty meters to reconsider.

Red Cypress Divine-Given Seed is the opposite. The trunk exceeds one hundred and fifty meters, its size and cypress fruit yield have reached the peak of Mountain Lord Level trees, entering a stable, slow growth phase.

Ink Orchid’s Chestnut Bean Divine-Given Seed’s trunk has also exceeded one hundred meters. About the same as Red Cypress, it too has entered a stable, slow growth period.

Ink Orchid’s Sea Blue Divine-Given Seed has been growing slowly all along and seems to be getting even slower; currently, the trunk stands just over thirty meters. The fruit yield is also very low. In that case, skip fruiting for now and just nurture the tree. There’s a long future ahead.
