Chapter 1425: New warrior camp no 5

Room

After returning to the room, I rested because I will be leaving for the warrior camp in the evening. I doubt anyone will disturb me in the meantime.

One hour later,

I opened my eyes. Then I used my device to check the online news. I quickly saw the online posts about myself.

It was about the fight that happened earlier. Seeing that I was not surprised. I continued to read the online articles.

...

Dean’s Office

Jerome smiled after seeing the results. Zack Lockwood had done better than he expected; he defeated his opponents in a single move.

Jerome is a Red Mark Warrior. How could he not see that something was wrong with those three senior students? He had read their backgrounds and knew they had long since exhausted their potential.

There was no hope for them to break through to the Gold Mark level. He realized that Faction Leader Vince must have done something to them.

But he didn’t expose them. He had wanted to witness Zack Lockwood’s strength, and now that he had, it was time to assign a warrior camp to him. He picked up a camp list and began to go through it.

Since the genius warriors are fighting in elite camps, he decided to assign Zack Lockwood to one of them. Because Zack is going to fight under his real identity, Jerome thinks it is best for the other warriors to keep an eye on him. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Time Passed

That evening, I left the room. I was ready to go, but I found Master Austin and Ann in my front yard.

"Master Austin! Master Ann!" I called out to them.

Hearing my voice, both of them turned around.

Austin said, "I knew you would leave without meeting us, so we came here to see you off."

"Zack, now that everyone knows of your return, enemies will attack from all sides. If you find yourself in danger, you can return," Ann said in a serious tone.

"I’m sure the supervisors of the camps are from Star University. Dean Jerome won’t assign you to the camps of other forces," Austin added.

"I will take care of myself," I told them. I understood their concerns, but I was prepared for the adversity.

We spoke for a few minutes. Nearby, the Purple Mark Guard had already arrived. He was standing mid-air with another old man: Faction Leader Clifford.

"They tried to stop the kid, but they failed. I’m sure they won’t give up," Clifford said, his voice filled with concern.

"Dean Jerome has his eyes on the kid, and so do the hostile forces. But they won’t be able to touch him. They have already lost so much by paying too much attention to him," the Purple Mark Guard remarked.

Clifford nodded. He had heard about those terrible losses as well. The warrior camps were clearly divided now, and the elite camps were causing huge damage to the city.

It didn’t take long for Austin and Ann to leave. The next second, the duo in the air appeared in front of Zack Lockwood.

"Kid, it’s time to leave," the Purple Mark Guard said.

Seeing them, I was stunned. I didn’t expect them to appear so suddenly. It meant they had been here the whole time, waiting for both masters to leave.

"I’m ready," I replied.

"Zack Lockwood, you are progressing beyond my expectations. Today, you did well by defeating the senior students of the Dark Variant Faction," Clifford said with a smile.

Hearing that, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, mostly because I had been forced into that fight.

"I was just following orders," I said.

"Good. If you face any crisis, you can always come back just like your masters said earlier," Clifford noted.

I nodded to him.

"Time to go," the Purple Mark Guard said.

He nodded to Faction Leader Clifford before grabbing my shoulder. The next thing I knew, I was in mid-air. The Purple Mark Guard was taking me to a secret spot where I could teleport to the warrior camp.

Swoosh!

The Purple Mark Guard was cautious. Even though this was their territory, he had to be wary of hidden attacks.

Soon, they left the range of Star City and entered the vast barren lands. It didn’t take long for them to land behind a small overhanging cliff.

There was a teleportation platform hidden there. No one would have thought such a platform would be located in such a random spot.

Thud!

I felt my feet hit the ground. The Purple Mark Guard landed and spread his mental power to scan the area. Finding no threats in the air or on the land, he turned toward Zack Lockwood.

"You can enter the teleportation platform. It will lead you to Warrior Camp No. 5. It is a camp for Silver Mark and Gold Mark Warriors."

"The Supervisor, Kenny, is a Purple Mark Warrior. He isn’t from one of the top ten factions; he’s from a medium-sized one," the Purple Mark Guard explained.

I was surprised. I didn’t expect someone from a medium-sized faction to rise to the rank of a Purple Mark Warrior. I nodded to the guard. He brought out a key and activated the platform.

The teleportation platform glowed with a blue light. I stepped inside and, a second later, I vanished.

The Purple Mark Guard heaved a sigh of relief. He hoped Zack Lockwood would survive the warrior camp.

Swoosh!

I felt myself descending. When my feet touched the ground, I raised my head to look at the scene in front of me. I was inside a building, standing on a teleportation platform. I stepped off and walked toward the exit.

Outside, my gaze fell on a middle-aged man who was releasing the aura of a Gold Mark Warrior. I assumed he must be an assistant. The black-haired man stepped forward.

"Are you Zack Lockwood?" he asked.

"Yes, it’s me," I replied.

"I am Munro, Supervisor Kenny’s assistant. He asked me to bring you to the office," Munro said.

"Okay," I replied.
