Ancient Eden-Chapter 45
Chapter 45
~End of chapter 44
Li Mang held the jar of blood and walked towards the chief. The chief took the first sip, Li Mang himself took a sip, and then everyone in turn, each person that was kneeling was able to take a sip of this blood that had just been running through the elk’s veins.
Mu Qing was kneeling in the crowd, her gaze slowly followed Li Mang’s figure. Then her gaze stopped, when she saw Yi Jia.
When Li Mang handed the elk blood to Yi Jia, Yi Jia’s face showed a carefree smile as he took a light sip, then his gaze went through the crowd and stopped on Mu Qing.

Mu Qing could already conclude that Yi Jia was the one who had taken her underwear. The reason was that his gaze was filled with a mischievous, or should she say provoking smile.
As if Li Mang also felt that something was strange, he quickly turned his head to look at Mu Qing.
Mu Qing had already withdrawn her gaze. At this moment, her face was taut, as she stared expressionlessly at the elk that had fallen to the ground in front of her. b𝚎dn𝚘v𝚎𝚕.𝚘𝚛𝚐
It was dying, only its legs and feet were still twitching slightly, its round eyes seemed to be meeting hers.
Li Mang finally arrived at her side.
Next to her, Naduo, Youyou and the others took a sip of elk blood with a look of devotion on their faces. When it was her turn, Li Mang brought the clay jar to her.
She hesitated and raised her eyes to take a look at Li Mang. His body had been splashed with some elk blood, it looked like several blossoming flowers.
Li Mang was looking down at her, with a warm smile in his eyes that was not easy to perceive.
Mu Qing took a long breath and took a few step forward to lightly take a lick.
The blood of the elk was still warm, it had the strong fishy smell of blood.

Mu Qing only slightly moistened her lips and then turned her head away, her nose slightly wrinkled because of the sudden stimulation of the odor. Noticing her expression, Li Mang did not force her to drink anymore, and only moved the elk blood to the next person, but his eyes still rested on her face, with an obvious smile in his eyes.
It was the first time Mu Qing had seen him revealing such a smile, it was warm, but with a vague and indefinable ambiguous meaning. She didn’t drink much elk blood just now, she had just dipped her tongue and lips a little, but she suddenly felt a slight feeling of intoxication, as if the blood of that animal that had just entered into her mouth was now warming up inside her body. Her mind somehow replayed through the scene of last night when they were together.
She guessed that he was probably confused by her attitude, feeling that she had just recovered from a serious illness and that she was still weak, last night he only held her and made her lean on his body, caressing her for a while, but seeing that she was pushing him back a little, he didn’t force himself upon her.
Mu Qing found out that Li Mang was not really as rough as he appeared to be. He did not act very familiar with her during the day, but at night, when it was just the two of them, she felt that she was gradually figuring out how to get along with him. When she didn’t respond to him, he wasn’t happy about it. Whenever this happened, he would deliberately tease her even to the point of causing her pain, as if rather than her ignoring him or being indifferent to him, he seemed to like seeing her react to his actions more, even if she showed a reaction of displeasure to him.
And she guessed that in his eyes, she probably appeared extremely fragile, like a little thing that he could end up killing with just a little squeeze, so as the two of them gradually became somewhat familiar with each other’s bodies, whenever he noticed her showing a look of vulnerability, pain or grievance, he would always be at a loss as to what to do, and would even reveal a helpless expression. Such signs on him became more and more obvious these past few days, because of her diarrhea who had caused her lack of energy and weak state.
Mu Qing could not help but despise herself whenever she had the thought that she was taking advantage of a man’s feelings to pretend to be weak, in pain, or aggrieved in front of him, just to avoid being forced upon by him, and end up pregnant. She never knew she could be so talented at this before.
Tonight, and for the next night or two, she didn’t know if she would have that kind of luck. She estimated that the danger period was now passed, but although the likelihood of conception was not as high as the previous days, the possibility still existed. If she could, she still didn’t want to risk pregnancy and gamble with her future.
She just had to get through the next few nights. She consoled herself like this.
