An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 29: Dungeon Goblins
Chapter 29: Dungeon Goblins
Riven got everything that he needed from the stalls around, some bread and water, and a torch. He could use his own flames to light the way, but he felt that was an unnecessary waste of mana, so he decided not to.
He walked to the gates of the dungeon, two guards clad in black armour stood at either side. They looked uninteresting, but Riven could tell right away that they had a lot of strength.
He showed the guard his permit, the guard took it and had a close look at it, he then looked at Riven closely before handing the permit back to him.
"Be careful in there kid, since last night only three floors have been explored, you should try not to go deeper than that," the guard said.

Riven nodded and walked into the dungeon. He was shocked at the speed they had explored the dungeon, to be able to explore three floors in one night, that meant the adventurers and other organizations moved fast.
Immediately he stepped into the dungeon, it was like he had stepped into another realm, the air was stale and warm, it felt sticky and hard to move through.
The musty wet smell of the mossy rocks filled the cave, the smell of something very ancient. The inside of the cave was lit by torches, probably set by adventurers that already went in. Their flickering light cast distorted shadows all around.
He pulled out his sword, keeping his guard up, he headed deeper into the cave. After walking a small distance, he began hearing the sound of people talking up ahead.
He kept walking until he saw a small spaced room in the cave that led to four different caves. He saw a few people there all trying to decide what path to follow.
Riven didn't stop though, he kept walking and chose a random cave, walking into it. Immediately he got into the cave, the air became a very unsettling cold, it clung to his skin and caused him to shiver slightly.
He followed the path carefully, until he began hearing low growls coming from deep within the cave, and immediately he knew that something was ahead.
He tried to look deep into the dungeon and see what it was, but even with the torches, it was not bright enough for him to see.
After walking a bit more, the sound got louder, and finally he could see them, three feet tall creatures, with puke green colored skins, their crimson red eyes reflected the light of the torches.
Their heads were bigger than their bodies, they arched forward as they walked. In their clawed hands were rusted swords and wooden maces.
"Goblins," Riven said, but these goblins were not like the ones from this world, they were very different. Creatures found inside the dungeon were all called monsters, while creatures outside were seen as beasts, even if they shared a stark resemblance to the monsters.
There were four goblins headed his way, one with a rusted sword and three with wooden maces. Riven gripped his sword tighter and charged in, his feet kicked against the hard ground.
This was his first time fighting against a monster, he was eager to see how he would do against them. The goblins saw the threat approaching and immediately charged as well.
The one with the sword got to Riven first, it leaped into the air and slashed at Riven. Riven was shocked at how high it could jump, but he wasn't fazed.
He moved his blade swiftly and blocked the attack, pushing the goblin back. He decided not to use his magic in this fight, as he wanted to get the hang of swinging the sword for himself.
He immediately slashed with his full strength as the goblin was pushed back, his blade cut through the goblin's sword and slashed the goblin clean in half, its dark green blood spilled in all directions. Its body fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes, dead.
The body immediately decomposed, turning black and dissolving into the ground, leaving behind a small purple crystal.
The crystal was called drops, something unique to the monsters inside the dungeons. Drops were mostly crystals like this, but on rare occasions, they would drop other things.
The three goblins saw that one of their brothers had died, and rage filled their hearts. They charged at Riven at the same time, leaping into the air, attacking from difficult angles.
Riven knew that he had to be extremely fast and decisive to survive their attacks, he had to allow his instincts to come into play.
He took a step back and planted himself, he parried the attack of the first goblin, but rather than counter, he stretched out his hands and grabbed the goblin's arm, and with his full strength, he tossed it into the second goblin.
Both goblins crashed into each other, hitting the wall and falling to the ground. The last goblin was still mid-attack, its mace about to land on Riven.
Riven had no other option but to push himself to move out of the way and dodge the attack, the mace missed his head by an inch. Riven planted his feet immediately after dodging and slashed, his blade cut through the goblin.
Goblin blood splashed in all directions, staining the floor and Riven. Riven immediately turned to face the other two.
The one that he had tossed was the first to get up, it tried to get away quick, but Riven's sword was faster, it decapitated the goblin in one motion.
As the lifeless body fell to the ground, he stabbed the last goblin and killed it. The bodies of all the goblins immediately decomposed and dissolved into the ground, including their blood as well, even the one that stained Riven.
He bent down to pick one of the crystals from the floor, he knew that this was sold to be used in alchemy and blacksmithing.
As soon as the crystal got into his fingers, a notification came up.
