An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 159: Fight for the cabin
Chapter 159: Fight for the cabin
Riven looked at the group, his gaze lingering on everyone. Being in control was not his strong suit—he was one to follow—but he had come so far to make himself into what he was now. He wasn’t going to tremble at the sight of just his classmates.
"Lance, Robert, Sorax, Jack, and Chloe, the three of you gather twenty-five of the class and head for one group," he said.
"My sister and I work better together," Zara looked up and said.
"I understand, but we need one of you in each group to help navigate," Riven said.
"That’s fine," Sora said, looking at her brother and nodding to assure him.
They took some time to finally split themselves. Lance and Robert immediately headed in the direction of one of the classes.
Riven was with Mia, Liana, Noel, Sofia, Zara, and himself. He had made this separation because he had fought with this group before, and he knew how to work with them better. He’d rather be safe right now than go and experiment with new people.
He led the group of twenty-five through the forest, with Zara leading the way and showing him where to go, and finally, after a few minutes, they came in contact with the class.
When they met each other, the air instantly became tense because it was none other than Class B.
Riven locked eyes with Zack the moment they saw each other.
"We don’t want any trouble," Zack said.
"You already know about the cabin, right? If you change directions and leave this one be, we won’t have an issue," Riven responded.
’Please, please, don’t agree to my deal. I so badly wanna smash your face in,’ Riven kept saying in his mind. He prayed with everything that he had that Zack would refuse.
And who said prayers weren’t answered? Because as for this one, it most definitely was.
"I’m sorry, but I can’t. We weren’t able to locate any cabins aside from this one, and that means there might not be any others close by.
"My class is exhausted and tired. We’re going to get that cabin, even if it means fighting you. I’m sure we can win because you’re only half. Your pride must have made you think that you could take us with only twenty-five. Hahaha, that was a bad idea," Zack said and pulled out his sword.
His class followed his lead and took out their weapons as well.
’Yes, great, I finally get to fight properly’, Riven thought. He pulled out Twilight, a smile hanging on his face, showing that he wanted this so badly.
Zack was uncertain when he saw that smile, but there was no backing down now for him. He couldn’t. His classmates were all about to fight with him leading—he couldn’t show weakness.
Riven, on the other hand, was damn near salivating. His sword was immediately covered in flames, and then his bloodlust started seeping out.
The academy said they could attack to kill—they already had safety measures in place. So he was definitely going all out. He wouldn’t hold anything back at all.
Boom.
Riven shot forward, signaling the start. A boy lunged at him, trying to get to him first and take him down. The boy slashed, Riven dodged the attack, and countered immediately. He stabbed the boy and tore the blade out through the side.
The boy exploded into particles of light and vanished—the first student to fail the exam. When some of the Class B members saw this, they pulled back in fear.
Riven smirked. If they wouldn’t come to him, he would come to them. So he lunged forward at them. Zack watched. He never expected that Riven would go for the kill in that manner and take down one of them that easily. But now that the situation had come to this, he, as their leader, needed to stand his ground.
He charged at Riven, and right before Twilight cut through the neck of one of Class B, Zack’s sword blocked the attack and pushed Riven back.
Riven smiled when he saw Zack. He pointed his sword at him. "Come, give it your best," he said, his tone dropped in mockery, like he looked down at Zack. He did all this to enrage Zack, and it was working perfectly.
Zack lunged at full speed. "Arghhhhhhh!" He thrust his sword. Riven sidestepped, avoiding the blade. He used the pommel of Twilight to hit Zack right in the temple and sent him to the ground.
The pain shot through Zack’s body. He gritted his teeth and got on his feet, attacking a second time. Riven blocked the attack easily and sent a kick to his chest, sending him flying and hitting a tree.
’This is the strongest of Class B? The difference is seriously unimaginable. Do they possibly think that the other classes can really win in this examination? Isn’t the win already predetermined if things go on like this?
Unless... unless the academy is planning something hidden—it could be possible. Or I’m just stupid strong compared to the other students,’ Riven thought, chuckling to himself because of the last thing he thought of.
"What the hell are you laughing at?!" Zack launched at Riven, trying to use the fact that he was distracted to attack. But Riven easily parried his attack and kneed him right in the stomach.
Zack coughed heavily as he fell to the ground. Riven pointed his sword at his neck. "Do you give up? Stop now and you don’t have to die, and your class will be able to walk away," Riven said.
"Hahahaha, look around, you’re losing classmates as well," Zack said.
Riven paused. He looked around, and they had actually lost more than five of his classmates now. Class B was suffering heavy losses, but they were still more in number compared to Class A.
Zack saw that Riven was truly distracted this time and lunged at him again, his sword crackled with lightning as he attacked.
