Chapter 14

The teacher handed out the after-lesson exercises. Gu Xiao looked at the pile of questions. They were all the targeted expansion exercises taught in todayโ€™s class. What did she learn today? Computation of vectors? But she didnโ€™t remember a single formula!

โ€œGu Xiao, whatโ€™s wrong?โ€ An Yang sat beside Gu Xiao. Seeing that she looked like she was about to break down, she came to show her concern.

โ€œAn Yang, did you listen to the class?โ€

โ€œI did. The basic calculation of vectors is quite simple.โ€

โ€œBig shot, teach me!โ€

An Yang laughed. Just as she was about to agree, someone behind Gu Xiao spoke first. โ€œOkay.โ€

Gu Xiao and An Yang: โ€œ?โ€

Chu An brought his notebook to Gu Xiao. โ€œIโ€™ve memorized everything. Take a look. If you have anything you donโ€™t understand, you can ask me.โ€

Gu Xiao flipped it open and saw that the handwriting was neat and tidy. There were even his own annotations in some places. It was even more detailed than what the teacher had explained in class! Furthermore, the handwriting was exactly the same. He was the Chu An from her previous life!

An Yang also saw it. As a study fanatic, the first thing she did when she saw the notebook was to ask Chu An anxiously, โ€œClassmate, can Gu Xiao show it to me after reading it?โ€

Unexpectedly, Chu Anโ€™s voice suddenly turned grumpy, and he said, โ€œDo not look at what is contrary to propriety.โ€

โ€œHuh?โ€ Gu Xiao turned around and looked at him in confusion.

โ€œItโ€™s fine as long as Gu Xiao thinks itโ€™s okay.โ€ Chu An stood up and left after saying this.

โ€œGu Xiao, I beg youโ€ฆโ€

โ€œAlright, alright. Iโ€™ll show you when Iโ€™m done learning.โ€

Gu Xiao was only immersed in the frustration of not listening to the class and the shock at Chu Anโ€™s rebirth, so she didnโ€™t notice that all the surrounding studentsโ€™ gazes were focused on her.

This included Ji Yao.

โ€œHeavens, did you guys see that? Big Boss Chu is actually taking notes in class!โ€

โ€œWhat the h*ll? Doesnโ€™t he always keep strangers away? Why did he lend his notebook to someone who just transferred in?โ€

โ€œMore importantly, itโ€™s a girl!โ€

The students were discussing spiritedly, but Gu Xiao was engrossed in her studies and did not notice that the studentsโ€™ gazes were gradually becoming strange.

After all, in their impression, Chu An wasnโ€™t close to anyone and didnโ€™t participate in any large-scale school activities. However, Chu Anโ€™s studies were too good. Although he never took notes in class and sometimes even slept for a while, he always came in first in every exam.

Although Ji Yao and Lin Xueโ€™s results were also very good, they were both the very hardworking type. On the other hand, Chu An studied like it was just playing to him. Therefore, in the hearts of the students, Chu An was already on par with a โ€œgodโ€. How could mortals like them come close to him?

But just as they had accepted Chu Anโ€™s โ€œuntaintedโ€ image, he was so concerned about this Gu Xiaoโ€”the girl who could only come to this school to study because she was participating in a show!

โ€œWhat are you talking about?โ€ Chu An had already returned by now and sat back in his chair in front of everyoneโ€™s eyes.

Gu Xiao was no longer thinking about Chu Anโ€™s secret. There were a few things in the notes that she didnโ€™t understand, so she turned to ask Chu An. Chu An patiently answered them one by one, and the corners of her mouth gradually curled into a smile.

โ€œLove at first sight! The iron tree blooms!โ€

Ji Yao gritted her teeth.

What gave Gu Xiao the right!

Ji Yao had always liked Chu An. From the first time she saw him, she had meticulously arranged many romantic encounters, including dragging Chu An to teach her questions. However, she could only receive Chu Anโ€™s ridicule every time.

For example: โ€œIf you donโ€™t know how to do it, I donโ€™t know how to do it either.โ€ Or โ€œI donโ€™t know how to teach such a simple question.โ€

In short, it was all perfunctorily dealt with.

But with how Chu An was acting nowโ€ฆ

Ji Yaoโ€™s heart ached as if something had been snatched away. He should have belonged to her!

Hence, Ji Yao defiantly approached Chu An and Gu Xiao. Before she got close, she received a warning look from Chu An, followed by extremely cold words to drive her away. โ€œIโ€™m busy.โ€

Ji Yao was at a loss, but she did not understand. Her family background was so good, and her grades were so high. She was such an outstanding person, but why did she only keep making a fool of herself after Gu Xiao arrived?

She couldnโ€™t accept herself being like this. All her pent-up emotions erupted, and she shouted at Chu An in front of the entire class, โ€œChu An! She has just come to school and just joined for a single lesson. Why would you treat her like this?!โ€

As she spoke, she deliberately shook her bandaged right hand, as if she wanted Chu Anโ€™s comfort.

Ji Yao had obviously frightened all the students in the class. The atmosphere was even quieter than it had been during class.

โ€œI saw her as soon as she came in. As for you, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve seen you before.โ€ Chu An glared at her. Why did she go crazy for no reason?
