Chapter 614: Chapter 137: The Benefits of Bringing Black People_2

"Believe me, since the moment he appeared on stage with Amiga, not a single one of the geeky guys around the world who understand Spanish will ever spend a dime on our system again because we’ve ruined the most beautifully imaginative word in their language system," Tommy proclaimed. "Can you imagine if Microsoft named Windows ’HotGirl’ and then had bald Ballmer standing under the spotlight telling everyone, ’Hey, I’m your HotGirl!’? California and Texas girls might just grab their guns and head north together to give Microsoft a taste of what America’s ’HotGirl’ really is."

Jason couldn’t help but laugh at Tommy’s description, grinning ear to ear, but then he continued to ask,

"But if you insist on a female name, Holly is obviously a better choice, or Susan, for that matter. They’ve both seen their fair share of big scenes in the market. Susy, though skilled in computing, spends more time behind a computer screen teaching a bunch of internet junkies how to take advantage of big companies through loopholes."

"You know, if my Odelia is an angel sent from heaven to save me, then your Susy is a succubus who clawed her way out of hell on her own. She’s fiery, open, and passionate. Most importantly, she’s smart and strong inside. She can stare down all the vicious jokes and respond with grace. Her body is covered with scars from her dark past, but she didn’t commit suicide or become depressed. Instead, she stands confidently in the sunlight, choosing to live more sincerely and fervently than those of her age who are luckier in their childhood. Think about it, Jason. Did Susy really heal your anxiety or pressure with those leather props? Was it really her exquisite skills and experience that drew you to want to spend the rest of your life with her? No, it’s her love for life and her strong confidence. She believes her fate will get better, no matter how bad it is now. She attracts you, changes you, slowly and subtly, just like when we were studying and I started self-teaching computer courses. Although I never asked you as a roommate to do the same, you soon began to try self-teaching on your own." Tommy turned to lean on the railing beside Jason, gazing at Silicon Valley in the night,

"I once saw a phrase in some magazine, likely an ad for some luxury product, ’Some are born with pride.’ I used to scoff at this until Susy came along, and for the first time, I understood what that kind of calm pride in the sunlight felt like. It also made me believe that what the ad said was true: some people, no matter where the fuck they’re born, can live with pride. You should let the world see Susy, just like I want the world to see AmigaOS, which we’re giving to the world. They both shine brilliantly, born with pride."

After finishing, Tommy even patted Jason’s shoulder, "In some moments of pious wisdom, I can’t help being a little jealous of you. I think, eventually God fucking favors fools, otherwise why would a powerhouse like Susy become the girlfriend of Stanford’s disgrace like you?"

"And then what? It would favor you?" Jason asked Tommy disdainfully.

Tommy shook his head earnestly, explaining seriously to Jason, "No, during my moments of jealousy I feel like you don’t deserve her, and of course, neither do I. Someone rotten like me only deserves an angel like Odelia to save him, while Susy is a strong person, and I am inherently a chauvinistic male supremacist who doesn’t believe women deserve equal treatment by men. Our meeting would only be a nightmare for each other."

"If she heard someone praising her like this, she’d be really happy," Jason said, looking at Silicon Valley in the night, exhaling a breath tinged with alcohol, then earnestly saying to Tommy, "Now I believe you didn’t just randomly decide to have her debut the AmigaOS. You know, if you had only told me that first part about AmigaOS, I wouldn’t have agreed."

"It’s starting! Jason! We’re about to go on! The prelude is playing! Stephen has started his lines! Come quick!" Inside the living room, Susy, staring at the brand new television screen, excitedly shouted.

Jason looked at Tommy, raising his beer bottle, "Ready to let millions spend money to watch our dumbass show?"

"After I’ve got some free time, I’ll make a documentary about Stephen, his dad, and his late grandfather, three generations of Binns with a steadfast affection, who frequented Hollywood’s red-light district," Tommy clinked bottles with Jason, downing his beer, then walked into the living room.

Jason was momentarily stunned by what Tommy said, "F*ck! Has Hollywood been frequented by his family for three generations?"

"Not quite because his grandfather and father hardly ever paid for their overnight stays with those actresses," Tommy called back without turning his head.

Jason then followed into the living room, "I knew it, there’s still a gap between me and the nobles’ entertainment."

He promptly sat on the carpet in front of Susy, and she naturally draped her long legs over Jason’s neck.

Tommy stood in the living room, glancing at Sophia, then at Quinn. Sensing Tommy’s gaze, Quinn looked over and spoke in a disapproving tone, "What are you looking at?"

"Want to experience how comfortable Jason and Susy’s position is?" Tommy pointed to the affectionate couple and said to Quinn.

Quinn looked disgusted, "You want me to put my legs on your shoulders?"

"No, what the hell are you thinking? How could you think I’d be interested in a man!" Tommy defended his suggestion, annoyed at the implication.
