Amber Sword-Chapter 473: Act 153 Dawn (6) (Part 2)
’Clang!’ The sharp sound rang out as the war axe was reluctantly forced to clash with the longsword. One warrior and one undead collided head-on and immediately retreated. Kabais staggered back a few steps, heavily inserting the long handle of the war axe into the stone tablet to stabilize himself, while Brand was directly pushed into the crowd behind him—
"What kind of skill is this!?" The towering bone skeleton leaned back to regain its balance, then shouted in shock and anger. It was knowledgeable and, although it couldn’t immediately understand how Brand saw through its attack, it guessed the gist.
"The skill that will take your life!" Brand replied coldly, utilizing Kabais’s shock and anger to stand back up. He and his sword swooped in like a remnant shadow. The Investigation skill performed unexpectedly well, yet it was within his expectations, as only a skill like this was worthy of being called a divine skill in his heart.
However, in the eyes of others, Brand’s speed, though fast, seemed like a separate light and shadow. But to Kabais, it was as slow as a crawling turtle. Just as the longsword was about to strike, Kabais sidestepped a row of ribs, pulled its hands back, and prepared to deliver a heavy blow to Brand.
The white lines extending from Kabais’s body changed instantly, forming a new net.
"Lord!"
The Silver Elf Princess turned her head and saw this scene.
Brand himself realized that the sword strike had missed—
But then, a miracle happened.
A figure like fire appeared in everyone’s sight—
’Bang!’ The Thunder Gun—Logos suddenly appeared between the two, firmly blocking Kabais’s dark war axe. At that moment, everyone saw the long, dazzling, fiery red ponytail flying in the night, the red-haired girl leaned back slightly but held tightly onto the long handle of her war-hammer, stabilizing herself. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Qian lowered her head, her amber eyes filled with calm.
On her other side, there was another loud sound—
As if time had frozen, Brand’s sword accurately struck Kabais’s right chest; the impact of the Power Burst created a turbulent force within the cavity behind the steel-like ribs of the armor, the air swirling backward, breaking through the fragile barrier of the bone skeleton, making constant ’crack’ sounds. Kabais felt at least three ribs break.
Then it roared and flew backward.
"This is impossible!"
This thought instantly rooted itself in the minds of Brand, Kabais, and even the Silver Elf Princess watching from afar.
How could this be? All three clearly felt that the sword should have missed, Kabais had obviously dodged to the side, but when Brand’s longsword struck—each of them discovered:
Kabais’s body was still in its original position.
An illusion?
But Brand instinctively exerted all his strength to press down the longsword. A white frost spread forward along his sword, forming a radial frost curtain directly in front. The icy wind mixed with the force that sent Kabais flying backward, crashing heavily onto the ground. The brass armor on its body clanged loudly as it tumbled several times, sliding far away until it crashed into a wall and stopped.
With a loud bang, smoke and dust filled the air.
’Creak’ sound.
The longsword cracked, then shattered into pieces and fell to the ground.
Brand held the bare sword hilt, momentarily forgetting to continue the pursuit. That was definitely not an illusion; his Level 130 combat experience wouldn’t make such a ridiculous mistake in a low-level ’fistfight’—Did he misjudge? Is it possible for a Level 130 warrior to make such a mistake?
He discarded the sword hilt and casually pulled out another sword from the corpse of a nearby noble soldier. To his embarrassment, these whiteboard longswords could no longer endure his Gold Level strength; he now missed the Azure Light Piercing despite it being a lower-level magic weapon.
Kabais shakily stood up from the ruins; although the earlier strike didn’t immediately cause severe injuries, he was in a bad state. Brand had just touched the threshold of a Gold Rank warrior, yet his Power Burst had a stable Lower Gold level strength. Hardly anyone could take a full-force hit head-on with their chest.
But this Undead General didn’t have time to complain as it pressed against the wound on its armor, because, in its vision, a red and black figure was approaching—it was a good strategy, just too slow.
