Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 199-Kids Never Hide Anything
Iris:
"What did you speak with my father about?" I asked him once he got out. He had taken a lot of time inside, and I was starting to get anxious about what he was going to say to them. ๐๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ป๐๐๐๐น.๐๐จ๐
"None of your business. Do not be nosy," Kash remarked as he stepped straight to the car and sat down.
"Yeah, whatever you do to my father is my business," I replied, reaching into the car with him.
However, I slowed when I saw Luca returning from his jog. He slowed too when he noticed me.
"Luca," I uttered.
My kids had already settled into the back seat. Kash was strapping them in while I wandered toward Luca.
"We are getting late," Kash called from behind me, but I raised my hand to dismiss him. He had annoyed me enough for me to return the same treatment.
"Hey, Iris," Luca greeted, smiling through a strained expression on his lips.
"How are you?" I asked, approaching him. I still felt bad about what had happened to him and his father because of my family.
"I am great," he replied, taking off his earbuds and acting as if he was busy checking them.
"I am really sorry for what happened. Your father has been really stressed," I commented, remembering the last time I saw him. He had looked worn down.
"I hope you did not get upset about my father letting Kash into the lycan community," Luca uttered softly, bringing up the whole incident.
"No, Luca. He did what he had to do, and it proved to be fruitful," I told him, and he began to nod.
"Yeah, but he is still upset with me about why I did not let them kill me instead of just standing there to marry you. It is a whole thing. You know he is a righteous man," Luca explained, looking around without making eye contact.
"Luca, if you need anything, let me know. I will ask Kash to get you and your father a job as well," I commented, smiling softly.
"It is not just that, Iris. You need to understand that at the end of the day, we are lycans, and we have been in this community before," Luca replied.
Very soon, our lycans will want to transition. Usually, I used to go back to the community to transition, but now it seems like we have nowhere that feels like home," he explained, and I anxiously started chewing on my nails.
He was not wrong. That same thing had been worrying me about my children as well. Because once things get dirty, they will really get dirty, especially when my children start to transition.
It is not happening now, but in a few years, it will. When they turn twelve, everyone will question what their ranks are. They will wait for their first transitions, and since they are the Alpha Kingโs children, all eyes will be on them.
"Let me give it some thought. When you think about it too, try to find a solution if you have any," I requested Luca, one hand on my waist while the other rubbed my temple.
"I did not mean to worry you, but it has been worrying me too," he replied, and I gave him a hand gesture to let him know I was not complaining.
"Okay, I will go back inside. Father will be coming home. I will make breakfast for him to cheer him up," he remarked, and with that, we parted ways.
But when I returned to the car, I noticed Kash sitting in the driverโs seat, looking like he was ready to drive off at any second.
I sat down and buckled up, staring straight ahead, waiting for him to start driving. However, for the next minute, a full minute, neither of us said a word.
"Mommy, what are we waiting for?" Colin asked finally, his voice soft and gentle.
Kash snapped out of his thoughts and started the engine.
Once we hit the road, I noticed him tapping his fingers on the steering wheel, again and again.
"Are you not going to explain it?" I asked.
Finally, when I did not ask what was wrong, he started speaking on his own.
"What?" I questioned, even though I knew what he meant.
"What were you talking about, with that look on your face?" he demanded, sounding irritated.
"Something personal. Why?" I replied, watching his driving.
"What do you mean by something personal? Are you seriously doing this to annoy me?" he asked. I could tell he wanted to raise his voice, but with the children sitting in the back seat, he was holding back.
"I am not in the mood for arguments, and I am definitely not going to tell you my business. Letโs not pretend there is nothing wrong in our relationship, that I know everything about you and Lara too," I commented, making my point clear.
Him acting this way felt odd, since he had not been fully honest with me either.
"Well, since you decided to be arrogant, I will show you my arrogance in my own way now," he remarked, then sped up the car.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked, leaning toward him, watching him without blinking. It felt like if I blinked, I would miss something in his expression.
However, for the rest of the ride, he did not respond to me even once.
When we got out of the car, he took Amy while I held Colinโs hand. For the rest of the day, he mostly showed the company, the factory, and different areas to our children.
They were very excited about meeting new people, and whenever someone referred to them as a prince or a princess, they became even happier.
I remembered they had been happy back in the lycan community as well, but they did not know much then.
They still did not know the word lycan, nor had they ever seen a lycan before, so I was glad. Otherwise, knowing my children, they would have started talking about it.
That thought stayed with me because the moment we were back in the car after a tiring day, Amy clapped her hands to get our attention.
"Mommy has worn a crown too, back when we were living at Grandpaโs place."
I choked on my own spit when she said that.
