Alpha Razor King-Chapter 99: The Rescue.
**Tara**
After finishing chaining Cain up with silver chains to a chair, I smirked at him. "You really thought you could win against me in a fight," I taunted.
Cain glared at me, his eyes filled with anger. "You won’t get away with this. My men will come looking for me."
My dad looked at me nervously, and for a moment, doubt crept into my mind. "Maybe we should try to escape before Razor arrives," he suggested but I shook my head.
"It wouldn’t be easy, dad. We wouldn’t get past the guards. We just had to wait for Razor."
Cain laughed at me. "Razor will fail. He won’t be able to reclaim his position as the alpha of the pack."
"Shut your mouth, Cain," I snapped, gripping his jaw roughly. "Tonight, this ends. I’m going to make sure of it."
"Let’s see how you pull it off then," he smirked, infuriating me even more.
Agitated, I dialed Dean’s number, relieved when he picked up. "Hello Cain, please inform the boss that Cain knows they’re coming. You have to hurry before Tom and the other men find out," I instructed.
Dean assured me they would be there soon before cutting the call. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
I looked at Cain, my eyes narrowing. "What’s next?" I asked, but he only glared back at me. Suddenly, he closed his eyes and began to hold his breath in what seemed like a futile attempt to ignore me.
I couldn’t help but laugh, breaking the tense atmosphere. "Are you trying to mind-link the rest?" I teased. "It won’t work. The alpha isn’t with the pack again. It can only work when the alpha is present."
Cain’s eyes shot open, and he scoffed. "That’s a fucking lie you bitch. It can work even if the alpha isn’t here at the pack house because of his bond with his people."
I shook my head, clicking my tongue. "Yes, but unfortunately, the bond was broken," I explained. "Stupid ass Tom doesn’t have that kind of bond with the people because he isn’t even an alpha to begin with. Only the true alpha of the pack, which happens to be Razor, can have that bond. But Tom forced him to break it when he expelled Razor from the pack."
Cain’s expression turned to one of horror as the realization sunk in. "You’re fucking lying," he protested weakly.
I smirked. "Believe what you want, but it’s the truth. You should get comfortable because you’re about to suffer, you bastard!" I gritted my teeth angrily.
Cain’s confidence faltered, and he looked at me with fear in his eyes. The tables had fucking turned, and he knew he was at my mercy.
Minutes went by as I paced around anxiously, growing impatient. They needed to hurry up. Suddenly, I froze when I heard a sound. I quickly tiptoed to the door and planted my ear against it. Footsteps approached – they were probably looking for Cain.
Cain must have realized it too because he began to scream. Without hesitation, I moved swiftly and snapped his neck, shutting him up instantly.
"Oh my, what have you done, Tara?" my dad exclaimed, glancing around nervously.
"Relax, Dad," I reassured him. "The bastard is still alive, but we need to hide him somewhere." My eyes searched the room anxiously for a place to hide him. "Come on, Dad," I motioned, pointing at the wardrobe. "Let’s put him in there."
My dad and I quickly unchained Cain and carried him to the wardrobe. We tied his stupid mouth before locking him inside.
Just then, a knock sounded, startling us. Dad and I shared a look before I whispered for him to go lie on the bed and pretend to sleep. Drawing a deep breath, I walked to the door and opened it, finding two men standing there.
"Is there a problem?" I asked, making sure to keep my voice steady.
"Did Cain, come here," one of them asked but I shook my head and told them no, suggesting he might be in the dungeon.
They craned their necks, trying to look inside the room as I opened the door a little for them to see it was only my dad lying on the bed. They cast a suspicious glance at me before turning back, but they stopped when a knock echoed inside the room.
"What was that?" one of them asked immediately.
"It was probably nothing," I dismissed it, trying to remain calm. But the knock sounded again, and this time, they wanted to push past me as the alarm echoed throughout the pack.
They froze and glanced at each other. "It’s an intruder, let’s go," one of them said as they ran out of the room.
Whenever that alarm went off, it meant there were intruders, and that could only mean one thing: Razor was here.

As my men and I approached the pack house, we were met with resistance from the security at the gate. They refused to back down, so we had no choice but to eliminate them. We swiftly took care of them and made our way inside.
Inside, we encountered more guards. I gave them an ultimatum: stand back or face the consequences. Some chose to obey and back off, while others decided to fight. We dealt with them ruthlessly, tearing out their hearts as a warning to any others who might try to stop us.
I knew I had to find Cross quickly. Without hesitation, I made my way to the dungeon. I didn’t bother giving the guards there a choice; I killed them all before entering. "Cross!" I called out as I ran inside.
"Brother, over here," his frail voice called back. I traced his voice to a cage in the corner of the room and saw him inside.
I grabbed a nearby hammer and quickly broke the lock before opening the door. "Cross," I said, pulling his emaciated body to mine and hugging him tightly. "I’m so glad you’re alive."
"I missed you so much, brother," he cried, his breathing ragged.
I pulled him away slightly to survey him. He had grown thin, and his entire body was covered in bruises and scars. Anger surged within me. "I swear I’ll make Tom pay for this. Come on, let’s get out of here." I lifted him onto my back and carried him out of the dungeon, determined to get out of here.
Immediately we exited the dungeon, Cain and his men blocked our path. The fucking bastard smirking at me. "Look who’s here," he sneered. "So you came here to get your brother, and you think it will be that easy."
"Get the fuck out of my way," I said in a low voice but he laughed.
"You won’t be leaving here alive, not after everything you did to me a year ago in the dungeon. I drew in a sharp breath and told Dean to take Cross from me before facing Cain again.
"What did you just say?" I asked in a menacing tone.
Cain repeated his threat and ordered his men to attack. As they came at me, I unleashed my rage. With ruthless efficiency, I tore off their hands, legs, hearts, and heads. I didn’t fucking care anymore. Seeing my brother in that condition had awakened the beast in me.
Ever since my brother was taken, my wolf, Black, and I hadn’t been able to function as companions. We were grieving. But now, I could feel him—the rage. He would not let these fools take our brother anymore.
After dealing with the fools, I looked up and realized that fucking bastard Cain had escaped.
"Should we go after him sir?" Dean asked me.
I shook my head. "No, let him go. We need to fucking get out of here before more trouble arrives."
As we stepped outside, we saw some of the other men gathered there. I approached them, my tone dangerous. "Do you want to fucking fight me, or will you stand back?"
The men dropped to their knees and bowed down, showing their submission. I nodded in satisfaction. "Good. I will be back soon."
I turned to walk away, but before I could take more than a few steps, I remembered something."Dean, have you seen Tara?"
"No boss, the men didn’t see her or her father," he replied.
I nodded to Dean and carried Cross to the car. I’ll deal with Tara later.
As we drove away from the pack house, I felt a mix of relief and concern. I had succeeded in getting Cross back, but he looked so weak, barely hanging on. I patted his cheek softly, reassuring him that he would be safe.
Most of the casualties were men brought in by Tom, so they weren’t loyal to me. I was relieved I didn’t have to kill many of my own men. But thoughts of Tom filled me with rage. When I got my hands on that fucking bastard, he would pay dearly for hurting my little brother.
"Boss," Dean called from the passenger seat, interrupting my thoughts. "I’ve been trying to get in touch with Chris, but he’s not picking up." Just then, Dean’s phone began to ring. He looked at the screen and sighed with relief, but his expression quickly turned to a frown as he answered the call.
"What is it?" I asked, curious about the sudden change in his demeanor. He handed me the phone, his hands shaking.
I took the phone and put it to my ear. "Hello?" I said cautiously.
"Hello, Razor," a voice said. It was Tom. "Well played. I heard you’ve taken your brother, that’s great. But now, guess what? I have your man, Chris." He laughed hysterically before abruptly ending the call.
Fuck!
