Alpha Razor King-Chapter 93: Cruel Alpha Tom.
**Tara**
I was dumbfounded, scared. Did they also see Razor and his men? "I’m telling the truth!"
His grip tightened in my arm, and I winced in pain, but I refused to show any weakness. "Stop lying bitch."
"I don’t know what you’re talking about," I said, raising my chin up defiantly.
"Don’t play games with me, Tara," Tom growled, his face inches from mine. "My men saw you coming out of that motel. What were you doing there?"
I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. If I told him about Razor and his men, it would only make things worse. But if I didn’t, Tom would surely find out eventually.
"I...I was meeting someone," I finally admitted, lowering my gaze to the floor.
"Who?" Tom demanded, his voice rising in anger.
"Just a friend," I replied, hoping to deflect his suspicions.
Tom’s grip on my arm loosened slightly, but his expression remained hard.
"You’re lying," he said, his voice cold. "I want the truth, Tara, or I swear I’ll bring your father here and torture him in front of you."
I felt a wave of panic wash over me. I couldn’t let this bastard hurt my father because of me.
"Okay, okay," I said, feeling defeated. "I was meeting Lisa."
Tom’s eyes narrowed, and a dangerous smile played on his lips.
"Lisa, huh?" he said, stepping back and releasing my arm. "Interesting. Looks like we have a little spy in our midst."
"I’m not a spy," I protested, but Tom waved me off.
His eyes bore into mine, searching for any sign of deception. I had to tread carefully; one wrong move and I could end up in a much worse situation.
"Then why were you meeting with her? Is it because I asked my men to bring her to me?" he questioned, shaking his head in amusement.
"Yes, I was worried about her," I cried out, playing along. "I couldn’t stand anything bad happening to her. She’s just a fucking kid, Tom!"
"I don’t give a fuck what your relationship with her is," he snapped. "Now just tell me where she is."
"I don’t know," I said quickly. "When I got there, she was gone."
It was partly true, because she wasn’t there. Also, Razor had instructed me to wait a few minutes after he left before making my own exit. They must have missed him.
"How do I know you’re telling the truth, Tara?" Tom’s voice was cold, and I could see the doubt in his eyes.
"Because I have no reason to lie," I replied, keeping my voice steady. "I was just trying to help her. Please, Tom, you have to believe me."
Tom stared at me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Finally, he let out a sigh. "Fine," he said, his tone dismissive. "But if I find out you’re lying to me, you’ll regret it."
I nodded, relief flooding through me. I had managed to convince him, at least for now. But I knew I had to be more careful than ever. The bastard was not someone to be crossed lightly, and I couldn’t afford to make any more mistakes.
"So now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s time for something else. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer, forcefully kissing me as I struggled against him.
"Let me go, you bastard!" I smacked him across his face and pulled away, panting.
His eyes grew red. "How dare you hit me, you fucking bitch!"
"I... I didn’t mean to." My feet moved back on their own, fearing his next move, but thankfully the door opened and one of his men stepped inside.
"We’ve got news about the meeting between Razor and the elders," the man announced.
"Alright, let’s go to my study," he told the man without taking his eyes away from me. "As for you, I’ll deal with this disrespect later. Now get out of here!"
I dashed out of the penthouse and headed straight to the elevator. While inside, I breathed easily, glad I was away from that bastard. I really needed to get out of here before he killed me. But I couldn’t leave without my dad. I was actually so glad I had met Razor; I’ll do everything to help him kill Tom.
Speaking of which, I dipped my hand inside my pocket, mortified to find the phone missing. Tom will kill me if he sees it. He didn’t even allow my father and me to have a phone.
Panicked, I began searching the other side, horrified to see it empty. I exited the elevator and ran to my room, surprised to find my father waiting for me with the phone in his hand.
"What is this, Tara?"
"It’s nothing special," I shrugged his question off.
"You’re lying right now, Tara, I know that!" my dad said through gritted teeth. "You know this isn’t allowed."
"It’s really nothing, Dad," I repeated, collecting the phone gently from him, looking for a safe place to hide it.
"Who gave that phone to you, Tara?" he probed further.
"It’s Razor, okay," I mumbled out in frustration. "He gave it to me," I whispered a bit more calmly.
"Have you lost your mind? That man hates us."
"He’s not as bad as you think," I ground out, feeling frustrated. "He’s going to help us."
"How so?" he looked at me as if I’d lost my mind. "I helped the Mafia kill his parents, Tara!"
"Listen, Dad, all we need to do is get you out of here, and then we can think about that," I begged.
"You’ve lost your mind, my daughter. Have you forgotten who Razor is? He’s ruthless and cruel."
"And so were you, Dad," I snapped at my father’s hypocrisy. "You were the one who plotted to kill his parents simply because you were greedy for power."
He didn’t reply. I knew he was feeling a little guilty now. "I know what I did was wrong, Tara?"
I nodded. "I’m glad you feel that way, Dad. Now it’s time to do the right thing."
"So, what are you planning?" he sighed.
"Razor is going to help Tom, and we’re going to help him."
