Alpha Razor King-Chapter 142: Catching Up.
**Razor**
"She’s going to be alright, Alpha Razor. Thankfully, she healed quickly," John said.
I nodded, rubbing my fingers on her face. She looked so peaceful sleeping. My beautiful wife.
"You may go," I told John and focused on Isabella.
I felt really bad that all these years I left her all alone, thinking I was dead. I lost connection with my wolf and lived a meaningless life. It fucking sucked.
"Rest well, baby." I drew a deep sigh and got up, leaving the room. In the living room, Dean and Chris were waiting for me.
"Boss," Chris and Dean both got down on their knees and bowed.
"Rise," I told them before taking my seat on the couch.
"Boss, we’re glad that you’re back." Chris nodded at me with a smile.
"Yes, we really thought you were dead. It’s all my fault, Boss," Dean said, bowing his head in regret.
"It’s alright. The most important thing is that I’m back now, and we have that bastard right where we want him."
"Boss, what about Luna? Will she be alright?" Chris asked with a worried expression.
"She’ll be alright, John assured me." Just then, Nathan came out of his room and hurried towards me.
"Dad, I’m so happy you remember everything. Mummy was really worried." He wrapped his little arms around me, and I hugged him back tightly.
"I know, son. I’m sorry I was gone for so long," I whispered, feeling a surge of guilt. "But I’m here now, and I won’t leave you or your mum again."
Nathan looked up at me with bright eyes. "I knew you’d come back. You’re the strongest alpha."
I smiled at him, ruffling his hair. "Thanks, buddy. Now, let’s make sure everything is safe here."
"Alright, can you take me to bed? Mummy always does," Nathan asked, looking up at me with hopeful eyes. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
I smiled at my little pup. "Of course. I’m here right now, and I’ll do anything for you." Turning my attention back to Chris and Dean, I added, "I want both of you to trace any sight of Tom’s men and eliminate them. Not one of them should be left alive."
"Yes, sir," they both chorused and rushed to carry out my orders.
I took Nathan’s little hand and led him to his room. As we walked down the hallway, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of love and responsibility for my son. He deserved to feel safe and protected, especially after everything that had happened.
When we reached his room, I tucked him into bed, making sure he was comfortable. Nathan snuggled into his blankets and looked up at me with a contented smile.
"Dad, will you tell me a story?" he asked, his eyes already growing heavy with sleep.
"Of course, Nathan," I replied, sitting down beside him. I began to tell him a story about a brave wolf pack that faced many challenges but always stood strong together. As I spoke, I watched his eyelids grow heavier until he finally drifted off to sleep.
I stayed by his side for a few moments longer, watching him sleep peacefully. He looked so much like me, and it gladdened my heart. A mini-me. My Isabella really gave me the best gift ever. It was really sad, though, that I missed five years of his life, and for that, I’ll make Tom suffer.
Leaning down, I kissed his forehead gently. "Goodnight, Nathan. Sweet dreams," I whispered before quietly leaving his room.
Inside the living room, I was surprised to see Cross standing by the door with watery eyes.
"Cross, I thought you were asleep."
He shook his head slowly. "I... wanted to see you before I did."
"But you’ve already seen me." I raised my brow, slowly closing the gap between us. "Are you alright?"
He breathed heavily, clearly finding it hard to speak. I quickly wrapped my arms around him in a hug.
"Are you alright, little brother?"
"I thought you were dead," he cried as he clung to me.
"I’m here now, Cross. I’m not going anywhere."
He pulled back slightly, looking up at me with tear-filled eyes. "I’m glad you’re back and okay now."
"Me too." I smiled at him before assuming a more serious look. "You’ve gotten bigger now."
He nodded shyly. "I’m stronger too."
"And have you been behaving yourself?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I’m a big boy now," he pouted.
"You’ll never be big enough for me, Cross."
"I didn’t do anything wrong, I swear," he insisted.
"My little brother has definitely grown some wings," I warned.
"I mean, I didn’t do anything wrong, sir," he corrected quickly, but I wasn’t convinced yet. "I... I... Lisa and I are together."
I frowned slightly. "Lisa?"
"I swear I’ve waited for my mate, but I didn’t see her. But Lisa... she was there when I was having a hard time... you left, brother... you left me."
Damn. I couldn’t even be mad at him. I did leave my family unprotected.
"Where is she?" I asked firmly.
"She’s sleeping," he replied.
"Where?"
"She sleeps in the same room with Anne."
I was at least glad to hear that. "It’s alright..."
His eyes went wide. "Really?"
"You want me to change my mind?"
"No... no sir. I’m glad. Thank you."
"I’m also grateful to her for staying by your side."
This time, he was the one who initiated the hug. "Thank you, brother," he cried.
I was still a bit skeptical, though. Because even though I tried to deny the importance of a mate, I would have wanted my brother to be with his mate instead. But I couldn’t stand to see him unhappy after so many years.
"Alright, go to bed." I patted his back gently. "I’ll see you tomorrow."
"Goodnight, brother." He waved at me before striding to his room.
I drew a deep breath. It was time for me to go visit that fucking bastard in the dungeon. Tom will pay for everything he has done. For the betrayal, the bloodshed, and the suffering he had caused my family.
