Alpha Razor King-Chapter 137: He’s Here.
**Isabella**
"Have you reinforced security?" I asked Dean, who nodded in affirmation.
"Great, then we just have to get ready."
"I’ve also informed Alpha Kane. He’s on his way here."
"Thank you, Dean. Now let’s just hope Tom doesn’t surprise us." I sighed, sinking into the couch. The exhaustion from a sleepless night weighed heavily on me. Since we received the second note from Tom, my mind had been racing. And thoughts of Razor plagued me—he should be here, beside me, defending our pack.
Dean started to head out of the living room, but his slumped shoulders caught my attention.
"Are you alright, Dean?" I asked.
He turned back to me, a troubled expression on his face. "Yes, Luna, I’m just... I don’t know. I should have known about all this. I was the one who gave the false news of our alpha’s death."
"It’s not your fault, Dean. You were genuinely convinced he was dead."
Dean sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I still feel responsible. We should have done more to confirm the truth."
"You did what you thought was right. None of us could have known."
Dean nodded, though the guilt in his eyes remained. "We’ll make it right, Luna. We’ll protect the pack."
"I know we will," I said, trying to infuse my voice with confidence.
As Dean left, I leaned back, closing my eyes for a moment. The weight of responsibility felt heavier than ever, but I couldn’t afford to show weakness. Our pack needed strength and unity now more than ever. And I would fight with everything I had to ensure our survival.
Lisa walked in, carrying two cups of hot coffee. "Here, have this."
"Thanks, Lisa." I took the cup and immediately sipped from it. Hot, just how I love it.
Lisa smiled. "So, how are you holding up?"
"It’s actually hectic, Lisa. Chris and Dean have already beefed up security. We’re just waiting for the bastard to come now."
"I can’t believe that Tom is alive."
"Same with Razor," I shrugged. "I wonder what he’s doing right now."
"Yeah, Cross said he has been at his office since morning. He’s probably working."
"I really miss my little Nathan...."
"Yes, I do too. That little menace." Lisa smiled fondly. "I just hope Razor will regain his memories. He’s going to be elated to really converse with Nathan."
"Yes," I agreed, a wistful look in my eyes. "It would mean the world to me if Razor could remember us, remember our family."
Lisa reached out, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. "He will, Isabella. It might take time, but he will. You have to hold on to that hope."
"I know," I said softly, staring into my coffee. "It’s just... the uncertainty is killing me. We’ve faced so much already, and now with Tom... I don’t know how much more we can take."
"You’re strong," Lisa said firmly. "Stronger than we realize."
Her words brought comfort to my heart. I really needed to hear that. The front door opened, and in came Dean with Alpha Kane.
Ever since Razor’s presumed death, Kane had kept in touch and made sure to check in with me regularly. He was such a great friend.
"Luna Isabella, what am I hearing? Alpha Razor is alive?" he said as he came to sit on the couch across from me.
"Yes, Alpha Kane. It’s crazy, but Razor is actually alive. The problem is, he doesn’t remember a thing."
"But how did it happen? I thought you all confirmed he was dead."
"We thought there was nothing left of his body. We didn’t know he got away and survived."
"And that man who calls himself his father..." Kane scrunched his nose. "He’s refusing to tell you how he came in contact with Alpha Razor?"
I nodded. "He’s also behaving weirdly."
Kane leaned back, his eyes thoughtful. "This complicates things. If Razor’s memory is gone, he might be vulnerable to manipulation. And with Tom’s return... it’s a dangerous situation."
"Exactly," I said. "We need to find a way to trigger his memories. There has to be something that can break through the fog."
"Perhaps," Kane mused, "there’s something or someone from his past that could help. Have you tried bringing familiar items or people around him?"
"We’ve tried a few things, but nothing seems to work," I admitted. "He doesn’t even recognize his son."
"We can’t give up," Kane said firmly. "Razor is a strong alpha. His memories are in there somewhere, and we need to help him find them."
"You’re right," I agreed. "But we also need to prepare for Tom’s attack. We can’t afford to be caught off guard."
"Indeed," Kane nodded. "I’ve brought some of my best warriors with me. We’ll reinforce your security and ensure the pack is ready for whatever comes."
"Thank you, Kane," I said, feeling a surge of gratitude. "Your support means everything to us."
"We’re allies, Isabella. More than that, we’re friends."
Just then, Dean returned, looking grim. "Luna, Alpha Kane, they’re here."
My heart sank. "Tom is here."
Dean shook his head. "We haven’t sighted him yet, only his men. They’re outside our gate, trying to enter."
"Are there many?" Alpha Kane asked.
"Yes, there are a lot of them," Dean confirmed.
"How did he manage to gather so many people?" I wondered aloud before meeting Dean’s gaze. "Go get ready, we’re going to war."
Dean nodded and hurried out of the room, his face set with determination.
I stood up and got ready to move out, but Lisa gripped my arm. "Are you going out there, Isabella?"
I nodded. "I have to lead them, Lisa. I’m the Luna , remember?"
"But I don’t want anything to happen to you."
"Nothing will happen to me, alright?" I smiled faintly. "Just stay here and please take care of Anna."
She nodded reluctantly. "Take care of yourself, too."
"I will," I promised, giving her a reassuring smile before following Alpha Kane out of the penthouse.
