Alpha Razor King-Chapter 101: You Liar.
**Isabella**
Thankfully, Solomon came quickly and began to administer treatment to Cross. "Is he going to be alright?" I asked him.
"Yes, Luna," Solomon replied. "He just needs to take it easy."
"Alright then," I thanked him as he left the room.
I turned to Cross. "Are you alright?" I asked, taking a seat beside the bed.
"I’m fine, just a little sore," Cross replied, his voice strained.
I took a deep breath. "How did you find out about Lisa?"
"That bastard, Cain told him," he said. "I didn’t believe him at first, but then I saw pictures and everything became clear."
"Cain?" I raised my brow slowly. "He’s alive?"
"Yes," Cross nodded. "He’s now Tom’s favorite person. He wants revenge for the punishment my brother gave me. He’s one of the fools who always comes to torture me."
I was dumbfounded. I never thought Cain would turn out that way. I bet Ian would be surprised too, if he were alive
"I can’t forgive her," he said bitterly. "Her father was responsible for my parents’ death."
I sighed, unable to utter a single word. I didn’t even know where to begin to beg on Lisa’s behalf.
"Why is she even here?" Cross asked me.
"Remember, you were the one who begged Razor to save her," I reminded him.
"But that’s because I didn’t know she was Damon’s sister," he defended himself.
I could even fault him for that, he was right.
Cross fell silent, probably fighting with his thoughts. After a moment, he spoke again. "I trusted her, Isabella. I thought she was my friend. But she kept this from me, she lied to me."
"I know it’s hard, Cross," I said gently, reaching out to touch his hand. "But sometimes, people make mistakes. Damon lies to her. She probably thought she was doing the right thing."
Cross shook his head, pulling his hand away. "No, Isabella. This is different. She knew who she was and she still kept it from me. I can’t forgive her for that."
I felt a pang of sadness for both Cross and Lisa. That fucking bastard Damon, ruined everything.
"What about Tara?" I asked, searching his face curiously, but his brows furrowed at me.
"I don’t understand, what about Tara?" he seemed confused.
"Weren’t you aware she and her dad were being held captive by Tom?"
"I had no idea," he frowned.
"Yeah, she was the one who helped Razor with the news that Tom had secretly left the pack house."
We were quiet for a few minutes, but Nathan’s constant yawning broke the silence. I stood up from the chair. "I need to go feed my baby. He’s hungry and sleepy."
"Alright then," Cross leaned forward and touched Nathan’s pale cheek softly. "He’s so cute."
"I know, right?" I smiled before walking to the door.
"Isabella," his voice drew me back, and I turned. "Why did you come back?"
"How... how did you know?" I asked, surprised.
"Cain," he shrugged with an eye roll.
"I needed Razor’s help because Tom sent his men to kill me and my baby," I explained, watching his reaction closely.
"I guess you didn’t really come back technically," he mused.
"Yeah, I know," I shook my head slightly at his pout. "That might have been the reason I came back, but right now, I’m never going back even if Razor tells me to."
"Really?" he was skeptical, but I couldn’t blame him. "Why the change of mind?"
"Because I love your brother," I smiled at his wide eyes before exiting the room. He must have thought I had lost my mind. Well, I actually did. I was crazy for Razor.
I made some baby food for Nathan, fed him, and soon enough, he fell asleep peacefully in my arms. I carried him to his baby cot and placed him there.
I went back downstairs and saw Lisa crying silently on the couch. I quickly went to her and sat next to her. "Lisa, what’s wrong?" I asked softly, although I already knew the reason for her tears.
"I told you he was going to hate me so much," she lamented. "I shouldn’t even be here. Maybe it’s best if I get killed."
"Don’t say that," I chided gently. "Do you know what Tom will do to you if he gets you?"
She realized the gravity of the situation and shook her head, her face hardening. "That was then. Cross doesn’t care about me anymore."
"Believe me, he does," I assured her. "And Tom will definitely use that against him if given the chance."
"So what do you suggest I do?" she asked, clearly frustrated.
"Time. He needs time, Lisa," I suggested, offering a small smile.
"Alright, I’ll just leave him alone then."
"No, don’t," I shook my head. "Keep trying and don’t give up. With time, he’ll open up."
"Thank you, Isabella," she whispered shyly.
"You’re welcome. I’m going up to check on him. Can you stay upstairs in my room? I don’t want to leave Nathan alone," I pleaded with my eyes.
"Sure thing," she agreed as we both went upstairs. She branched into my room while I entered Cross’s room.
He craned his neck slowly. "Oh, it’s you."
"Whoa," I placed a hand on my chest, faking pain. "You don’t look so pleased to see me again."
"It’s not that, Isabella," he rolled his eyes with a smile. "I’m a little bit worried about my brother. I haven’t seen him since last night."
"He’ll be here soon," I forced out a smile, trying to hide my own anxiousness.
I really hope Razor is fine wherever he is right now. Chris being taken hurt, but Razor?
"So, how are you feeling?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"How long are you going to keep asking me this particular question?" Cross replied, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
I hummed. "Let’s see, until you get better. So, how’re you doing?"
He shook his head with a laugh. "Better. It’s nothing I can’t handle now."
"Perfect," I nodded, pacing the room. "The physical pain is wearing off, except the other pain." I placed my hand on my chest, causing him to give me a cold glare.
"What are you trying to do?" he asked, still glaring.
"Nothing," I feigned ignorance. "I just know your heart must be hurting, so?"
"My heart is fine..." he trailed off as our gazes locked in a knowing look before settling at the door expectantly.
The sound of footsteps echoed, and the woody scent—it was definitely Razor. I could be half asleep and I’d still recognize his scent.
"Brother," Cross’s voice shook as he saw Razor entering the room.
Razor pecked my cheek quickly before going to the bed to hug his sobbing brother. It was always a beautiful sight seeing Razor vulnerable.
"I’m so sorry, Cross," his voice shook as he apologized, rubbing Cross’s back slowly. "I should have gotten you out of there quickly."
"I know it’s not your fault," Cross replied through tears. "But it was really scary up there."
Sometimes I forgot Cross was still a young boy. He acted so mature for his age. The only time I get to see him be a kid is with Razor.
"It’s going to be alright," Razor comforted, before gently pulling Cross and making him rest on the bed. "How are you feeling, Cross? Does it hurt badly?"
"No, no, I’m fine... I can manage," Cross assured him.
"Okay," Razor nodded. "But if you feel any slight discomfort, let me know," he said firmly.
"Yes sir."
"I promise you, baby brother, I’ll make him pay for everything he did to you," Razor vowed, looking at me. "And for also murdering my wife’s parents, I swear," he added with a frown.
"He killed your parents?" Cross asked, shocked as hell.
"Yes," I nodded. "I also want that man to suffer a fate worse than death."
Cross rested his back on the bed, but he winced a little.
"Are you okay?" Razor was worried.
"Yes, sir," Cross nodded with a smile before looking around curiously. "What about Chris? I haven’t seen him at all."
Razor narrowed his eyes slightly, his expression hardening. Whatever he was going to say wasn’t going to be pleasant.
"Tom has him," he said simply, causing Cross’s eyes to widen.
"I don’t understand, how is that possible?"
"I just got back from investigating the scene. All my men there were killed while Chris was taken."
"How’s that possible?" I was shocked. Razor’s men were strong and weren’t easily overpowered.
"Tom had help from Alpha Carl and the other alphas," Razor said through gritted teeth.
"What’s going to happen to Chris?" I asked, afraid to even imagine anything.
"He’s... he’s going to kill him, brother," Cross shook his head sadly. "Uncle Tom is so evil."
"I’ll do everything to get Chris back," Razor promised. "Alive," he added firmly.
Cross nodded, but his face fell into panic as he sat up abruptly.
"What’s the problem?" Razor was worried.
"I forgot her, brother," he told Razor through tears. "I left Anna after all she did for me. We were supposed to escape together! And now, Uncle Tom might actually kill her!"
