Almighty Father System-Chapter 391: Domino Effect.
Leo had pulled all the strings and now he was watching the Third Prince Clarke rush through the flight of stairs and head to the library where the Old King Damon was reading a book. The fact that the Stag Nation was a constitutional Monarchy, the King was usually free from minding things in the government unless his seal was needed to pass a bill.
The reason behind this was also the influence of the Morning Star Tower that controlled everything in the government of the nation. They gave some and took a lot, and the King enjoyed his vanity and all from the back being the figure head leader.
Clarke approached the library, and as soon as his gaze fell on Damon, he walked up to him while questioning him loudly, "What the heck is going on? Why are my cards blocked, and why is my account frozen? What are you doing?"
Damon might be old, but he was still the King and also a man who was known for his ruthless nature. Although he had a softer attitude with his third child, that didn’t mean that Clarke could raise his voice at him. He asked calmly, "Would you lower your voice while addressing me?"
This was a warning, and Clarke filled with suspicion and rage towards his father, looked at him right back in the eye and yelled, "Fuck you and fuck your dignity. Just die already."
Damon grabbed the reed of the book in his hand and swung it hard across to hit Clarke on his face.
Bang!
Clarke was sent back reeling, a couple of steps and his mind which was filled with rage was now blank, however, the stinging pain in his cheek made him realize what just happened and then it was as if a demon was awaken inside him. His green eyes turned one shade darker and he lunged at Damon.
The old King was caught off guard and was thrown off his feet, falling directly on his back as he groaned in pain, but then Clarke grabbed the same book that was used to hit him and holding onto the side of the book, he hit the reed of the book directly at Damon’s throat.
Damon was a ruthless man, but even after being the descendant of a reptile, he could not fight the spell of age. He was old and his body was fragile. The blow to his throat caused him to choke and then he tried to struggle Clarke off of himself, which was rough, and akin to pouring oil in the flames of rage.
Clarke was thrown off he stood up and then grabbed a chair from the side, and before the old man could make any call for help by pressing the emergency button Clarke hammered him with the entire chair, repeatedly.
The library was known as imperial library and this place was a secluded place, which was only accessible to the royal family until called upon. The king was the only person who would usually come here, rarely only did the younger generation came over to have a discussion with him in peace.
The guards outside had no clue what was going inside the library, they only heard Clarke enter while yelling before the door was closed, and now they heard a few thumping sounds. They exchanged a glance, and just then a maid walked over with a tea trolley and said, "His Majesty has called for his afternoon tea."
The guard nodded and opened the door to witness a scenery that he would never forget in his life. Prince Clarke was stomping on the chest of the King who was laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. The scene was a mess, but more than Clarke’s yell, the pitiful wail of the maid alerted the entire palace.
The maid yelled, "NO!! His Majesty!! Prince Clark what have you done!! This is Regicide. Someone stop him!!!"
Her words woke up the stunned guards who dashed over to apprehend the young prince but not before pressing the emergency buttons on the comms they had, the Emerald Palace was shaken and the people began to rush over to handle the situation.
...
Snow watched the entire scene unfold with a shocked gaze. She looked at Leo and asked, "How did you know it would work?"
Leo smiled and replied, "The emerald eyes of the reptile is a distinct trait which is followed by other traits as well. One of them is rage. When the bearer of these traits is targeted, they would go crazy and act in a manner that is beyond their control. Clarke has a shallow personality and his intellect is almost negligible thanks to the spoon feeding of the Morning Star Tower.
So when he was triggered, Damon’s act of smacking him was only to anger him even more. This is the reason why he is dead now, he forgot that his son was like him as well."
Snow gulped and said, "I am so glad that you are my husband. Sometimes I feel pity for the enemies to come across you."
Leo smiled and said, "I love you too."
Snow chuckled and smacked his chest gently before she asked, "Can you tell me what is going to happen now? Would he be punished?"
Leo nodded and said, "He would commit suicide in detention."
Snow took a deep breath and remarked, "You really thought it all through, right?"
Leo shook his head and replied, "I acted on the whim and made decisions as things progressed. This is the best way to act, although it may sound like it is too flimsy, but it is indeed the best method because while we have to attack these people, they have really covered all the bases and unless you catch them with a sudden surprise, they would be prepared for almost everything. Even in the scenario of a nuclear war, it would take them fifty seconds to move to the nuclear shelter. If they were to travel outside the safe houses, the entire air traffic in the world would be frozen. The military exercises would be called off, and the details of the travel time and schedule would be kept a secret. This is how they have lived for so long."
Snow nodded and replied, "It does make sense, after all preservation at the cost of cowardice is the best way to preserve your ideas and lineage."
Leo agreed with her, then after a small talk, they were interrupted by an alarm from Beta and they headed to check on the kids. Leo then brought the two of them to his office as Snow had to go and handle a meeting with some people in the transportation department.
Leo looked at the screen while holding the two children. These screens were made with a special Graphene coating that reduced the radiation to zero, and apart from that, they had an angular guard on them, unless someone was standing in a particular angle they won’t be able to see anything on the screen.
This was why Leo stood behind Snow as she sat on his chair. The children were on a different angle so their eyes would not be hurt. As he was watching the situation unfold, the system said, ’Ping: Host, thank you for your effort and thoughtfulness to protect the sight of your children from the damage. You are rewarded with, Optical prosthetic technology.’
Leo was stunned for a second because he knew the meaning of this technology. It could enable the blind to see the world for themselves. However, he would need to conduct the tests for all of these to go through production and if successfully made, they would gain a lot of merit in the world.
The young man nodded and put this idea in the back of his mind and picked up his sleepy kids to place them in the cradle. Then he sat down on the chair to monitor the chatter on the Stag Royal mishap.
He contacted the first Prince, and asked, "Harry, why are you standing in a daze you fucking dimwit, sprint towards the bed of your dying father. It is the only time when you will be able to secure the ascension to the throne. Or someone from the shadow would make sure that the Third Prince walks away freely and piss in your ear later."
Harry dashed through the palace corridors with fear evident on his face. While the people thought he was worried about his father, he was actually scared of Leo who made all this happen from the shadows. This was not something a normal person would be able to pull off.
As he reached the Infirmary where his father was taken for first aid, he found the maids and nurses sobbing and wailing. He dashed inside and found the imperial doctor sighing and shaking his head as he said, "Your Highness, we could not save His Majesty, but his last words were heard by us all, he named you the sovereign."
BOOM!
The Stag Nation was about to grow chaotic, but the reptiles were going to take an imminent fall.
