Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Directional Correction

After a busy night.

At around 5 a.m., in a dimly lit corner, Su Xin glanced at his personal panel.

[Name: Su Xin]

[Superpower: Concealment Prayer LV3, Unyielding Dead LV3, Other-Transformation LV3, Damage Transfer LV3, Self-Deception LV3]

[Karma Points: 10045]

"Finally enough!"

"Upgrade, Concealment Prayer!"

As Su Xin commanded in his mind, a stream of information surged into his mind out of thin air.

"Ding! Concealment Prayer has been upgraded to LV4!"

"Please choose from the following two traits: 1. Long-range Anchor Point, 2. Directional Correction."

[Long-range Anchor Point: Instant Teleportation targeting the Space-Time Anchor Point can ignore spatial distance.]

[Directional Correction: During Random Instant Teleportation, any direction can be specified, and the teleportation landing point will be corrected to maximize movement in that direction.]

"Good stuff!"

The moment he saw the trait descriptions, Su Xin’s eyes lit up.

Both traits are extremely practical.

Long-range Anchor Point is self-explanatory, allowing the Space-Time Anchor Point to ignore spatial distance. If he sets a Space-Time Anchor Point at home, no matter when or where, he can teleport back home instantly.

Previously, relying on the Instant Teleportation Withdrawal trait, he could also achieve long-distance teleportation home, but there was a ten-minute time limit. If he didn’t return within ten minutes, he could only set up an anchor point one at a time and teleport back slowly.

Sometimes he wanted to travel to faraway lands and see different sights; it was hard to do so.

But with the Long-range Anchor Point trait, he can truly teleport at will, stay and enjoy beautiful scenery wherever he wants, and return home anytime.

How free and easy that would be.

With his current Superpower Level, he can set up to four Space-Time Anchor Points, three of which can remain as long-term anchor points hidden in secluded places, allowing for instant teleportation at any time, and the last one for pinpoint teleportation within ten meters.

At this point, the number of Space-Time Anchor Points truly reflects its value and significance.

As for the second trait, Directional Correction, Su Xin is equally satisfied.

The Concealment Prayer’s Random Instant Teleportation lands him in a hidden place within ten kilometers.

The direction and distance are random.

Sometimes, when Su Xin wants to teleport to a nearby city, he has to teleport dozens of times and still can’t specify the city he wants to go to.

If he wants to teleport to a specific city, perhaps even after thousands of attempts, he might not reach it.

The Directional Correction trait, as the name implies, corrects the direction during Random Instant Teleportation to the maximum extent.

According to Su Xin’s understanding, if the designated direction is due south, then during Random Instant Teleportation, the landing point will be at a qualified location due south. If there is no qualified location due south, the landing point will be at the closest location to the due south direction.

In short, the landing point of Random Instant Teleportation must first satisfy distance and concealment conditions, and second, it must be closest to the direction he specifies.

This can be said to be corrected to the maximum extent.

This is almost equivalent to directional teleportation.

Just because the teleportation in Concealment Prayer has prerequisites, guarantee directional teleportation is impossible.

However, the actual effect should be similar.

This trait, though it only solves the direction issue, still leaves the distance uncertain, nonetheless addresses a major drawback of Random Instant Teleportation.

With this trait, if he wants to go to a nearby city, he only needs to perform Random Instant Teleportation a few or a dozen times and can basically succeed.

No matter where he wants to go, he can teleport to that area quickly through Directional Random Instant Teleportation.

Even if he wants to go to the other side of the world, he can reach it and won’t have to rely on luck as he did before.

Both traits have their benefits.

Simply put, the former makes returning more convenient; you can get back anytime, anywhere, in an instant.

The latter makes going to a specific destination more convenient; no matter where you want to go, you don’t have to worry about veering off course.

"Damn it! I want both!"

"It would be great if the upgraded traits could be retained, to keep one trait first and choose the other during the next upgrade."

Su Xin attempted to issue a command to the system to retain a trait, but received no response.

After pondering for a moment, he had to make a choice.

"I choose... Directional Correction."

[Concealment Prayer LV4: When you clasp your hands together, randomly teleport to a hidden location within a ten-kilometer range.]

[Traits: 1. Space-Time Anchor Point, 2. Instant Teleportation Withdrawal, 3. Directional Correction.]

[Upgrade Progress: 0/100000.]

"Although the Long-range Anchor Point trait is also very useful, the Directional Correction can provide a similar effect, so Directional Correction is better."

"Even if I reach the other side of the world, I can teleport back using the Directional Correction trait according to a fixed direction; it’s just a bit slower in terms of time, but still acceptable."

"And the Directional Correction trait gives me greater mobility and... "

"A bigger world."

"From now on, I no longer have to be limited to just Lening City, or randomly go to a nearby city for business; wherever I want to go, I can go."

"The whole world will be my stage!"

...

After the superpower upgrade,

Su Xin took out a backup phone, opened the map software, and randomly selected an unfamiliar small city hundreds of kilometers away on the map, setting it as his teleportation destination.

"Northwest direction, straight-line distance... about three hundred and sixty kilometers."

Su Xin silently noted this information in his mind.

To ensure the direction was correct, he slowly adjusted his stance to face the target city.

Then, he closed his eyes, waited for three seconds, and successfully entered the Stealth State.

Again and again, he clasped his hands together.

Again and again, he teleported.

After teleporting several dozens of times, when Su Xin found himself in an old staircase with no one around, he opened his eyes and checked the location on his phone once more.

"The direction was correct. Only a few dozen kilometers left to reach the target city boundary."

"This trait is indeed excellent."

Su Xin nodded with satisfaction and entered the Stealth State again, performing Directional Teleportation a dozen more times before checking his location.

"Great, I’ve successfully arrived!"

After wandering around this unfamiliar small city, Su Xin chose to return home.

However, to familiarize himself with using the Directional Correction trait, he didn’t choose to cancel the teleportation and return directly, but rather used the same approach, targeting Lening City to perform Directional Teleportation back.

When he returned to Lening City, it was still around 6 a.m.

By this time, the sun had risen above the horizon, its golden rays spreading across the land, infusing the streets with a lively atmosphere.

The entire city seemed to awaken from its slumber, brimming with the rhythm of life.
