Ah! The Villains I Forced to Turn Evil Can Read My Mind-Chapter 303
On the other side, Pei Che handed the estate photos to Pei Yuan: "What do you think of this new property?"
Pei Yuan flipped through them casually: "The interior design is good, well-maintained, and the location is prime—right within the Second Ring Road."
Pei Che said, "This one is the best of the lot. The others all have flaws and are too small. This estate is spacious and grand, complete with a swimming pool, a horse ranch, everything you could want. Plus, it’s only a twenty-minute drive from our workplaces—far better than the old house."
Pei Youchuan leaned in to look: "Then let’s buy this one? I’ll pay for it in full as a gift for her."
Pei Fengnong stepped forward: "I’ll cover it. Money isn’t an issue for me."
Pei Mu and Pei Ci frowned: "We’re not short on funds either. We’ll pay for it."
Pei Buxian loomed ominously to the side: "I’ll pay in full for Chuchu. If you don’t let me, I’ll throw a tantrum and roll around on the plane."
The Pei brothers shot him a disdainful look: "..."
"No amount of rolling will help," Lou Tingsi remarked with a smirk, appearing behind them. "Since everyone wants to chip in, count me in too. I’ll contribute, then move in with my son. After all, we’ve been through life-and-death situations together—living under one roof would be quite the celebration, wouldn’t it?"
"Is that really a celebration?" Pei Buxian glared at him. "I won’t even bother calling you out."
Lin Shen, who had been eavesdropping, seized the moment to step forward: "I’ll contribute. I want to make Qiao Chuchu happy."
The Pei family: "?"
Lou Tingsi sucked in a breath, eyeing him incredulously. "Lin Shen, do you even think before you speak?"
Lin Shen: "..."
Shen Zhuoyan sat at the far end, listening to their conversation. He checked his bank balance on his phone.
With a bitter sigh, he set his phone down and stared at their backs.
How long would it take for him to reach their level through his own efforts?
He’d have to return to the Shen family and inherit the business first.
Unbuckling his seatbelt, he approached Pei Yuan. "Mr. Pei Yuan, there’s something I’d like to discuss with you."
Pei Yuan, surprised, stood up and followed him aside. "What is it?"
Shen Zhuoyan glanced around to ensure no one was watching, then spoke in a low voice.
Pei Yuan’s expression shifted to astonishment. After a moment’s consideration, he grew intrigued and engaged in conversation.
The plane landed safely in Lan City after dark.
But since they’d neglected work for days, they all headed to the office to catch up.
Qiao Chuchu yawned, riding home with Shen Zhuoyan.
Lou Yuejue was scheduled to visit that evening.
Tonight, it would just be her, Lou Yuejue, and Shen Zhuoyan at home.
But as they reached the gate, a car was parked right outside.
Squinting, she found the license plate oddly familiar. "Whose car is that?"
Shen Zhuoyan’s expression darkened. "It’s Ji Yanchuan’s."
Qiao Chuchu: "..."
Just hearing that name gave her a headache.
She’d already gotten rid of the female lead—why was the male lead still around?!
Annoyed, she stepped out of the car—only for someone else to emerge from the parked vehicle.
Not Ji Yanchuan.
It was Ye Huining.
The moment Ye Huining saw her, relief washed over her face. She rushed forward urgently. "I’ve been coming to your house for days—where have you been?"
Qiao Chuchu was baffled. "What’s it to you? Who are you to me? Why are you and your son both so presumptuous?"
Ye Huining froze, then suppressed her temper. "I’m just worried. Don’t be angry with me."
She pulled out several platinum Hermès crocodile skin bags from the car—unboxed, clearly meant to flaunt their luxury.
Each was a top-tier, exorbitantly priced designer piece.
She shoved them all into Qiao Chuchu’s arms like a pile of pillows.
Qiao Chuchu barely caught them. "What’s this? Are you giving them to me, or setting me up to drop and break them so you can sue me?"
Ye Huining didn’t take offense. Instead, she spoke gently, almost pleading. "Sweetheart, I was wrong to speak to you the way I did before. Please don’t hold it against me."
Tears welled in her eyes. "Ever since my son Ji Yanchuan lost his memory, he’s become a different person. He fell for some ordinary girl, doesn’t recognize me anymore, ignores me when I talk, and runs away when I send people after him. He even calls another woman ‘Mom’ now!"
Her voice trembled as she clutched Qiao Chuchu’s arm. "Please, help me! Have pity on a mother’s heart. He’s my only child—not only has he lost his mind, but he’s disowned me!"
Shen Zhuoyan swiftly removed the bags from Qiao Chuchu and dumped them back into Ye Huining’s car. "No."
Ye Huining paled. "Those bags are worth a fortune! I’ve only used them once or twice, and they’re impeccably maintained. Even reselling them would fetch millions—and this is just the down payment!"
She turned to Qiao Chuchu, hopeful. "Help me, and I’ll give you another five million. I’m sorry—truly, deeply sorry."
Qiao Chuchu shut her down. "You insulted my friend and me before. I have nothing more to say to you. Find someone else."
Ye Huining chased after her. "But my son liked you before he lost his memory! I know he wronged you, and I understand if you can’t forgive him, but I just want him back to normal! The doctors said seeing familiar faces might help!"
Qiao Chuchu ignored her and walked through the gate.
Ye Huining stood outside, shouting after her. "If you refuse, I’ll stay right here until you agree!"
Qiao Chuchu glanced back disdainfully. "Stand there as long as you want. I won’t change my mind."
Ye Huining’s shoulders slumped, but she remained, silently pleading.
Two hours passed. Even Lou Yuejue had arrived for his visit, yet Ye Huining still stood outside, waiting stubbornly.
Lou Yuejue peered out the window. "Sister, she’s still there. How long is she planning to stay? It’s already 8 PM."
Qiao Chuchu lounged in front of the TV. "Ignore her."

Lou Yuejue: "What if she faints? Do we still ignore her then?"
Qiao Chuchu: "?"
She bolted upright, spotting Ye Huining collapsed at the gate, and sprinted outside. "Oh my god, don’t die on my doorstep! I’d have to hire an exorcist!"
Lou Yuejue chuckled, trailing behind her cheerfully. "Dad said he’s staying here for a while, so that means I can move in too, right? Since we’re family now, let me handle this for you."
Qiao Chuchu: "? You’ll handle it?"
"Of course! Whatever my sister dislikes, I’ll take care of." He quickened his pace, overtaking Qiao Chuchu, and addressed the guards at the gate—
"Please throw this auntie into the trash! Thanks!"
Qiao Chuchu: "?"
Ye Huining (pretending to be unconscious): "?"
