After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 497 - 195: The Unfolding of World Domination
High heavens.
"Ragnarok is over?" A deity slowly walked to the edge of the Tower of Life, looking at the extinguished flames outside with an expression of having survived a disaster on their face.
"Did the God of Omniscience resolve the apocalypse?" They voiced what many of the deities present were thinking. In this world of deities, akin to a religious belief, many gods believed that the God of Omniscience was an omnipotent being.
That was why many deities were willing to risk their lives to stop Ahtal from burning the tree, for they believed that once the God of Omniscience broke free from any seal, the crisis brought upon by Ragnarok could be averted.
And now, the extinguished Ash Fire was responding to the expectations of all deities.
"It’s also possible that the God of Omniscience lost," the Goddess of the Moon suddenly said not far away. Ignoring the looks of other deities, she calmly analyzed, "As far as we know, there are two known ways to extinguish the fire: the first, of course, is that the God of Omniscience has resolved the crisis; the second is that a brand-new set of rules has overwritten the old world."
"The second scenario can be ruled out," the Goddess of Lies stepped out from the group of deities, utterly unconcerned with the disdainful gazes cast upon her.
She raised a finger.
"If a brand-new set of rules could overwrite the old world, all beings who’ve reached the Universal Level would sense it and begin vying for dominion over this world," she explained.
The order of this world ultimately belonged to the God of Omniscience—there was no vacancy. Otherwise, it would be a free-for-all battle amongst beings of Universal Level.
"Instead of guessing what happened, let’s witness it for ourselves," the Goddess of Wisdom spoke slowly, her gaze turning to the Messenger God in a suit next to her. She said:
"Messenger, use your power to observe the battlefield."
"Watching a battle of that magnitude is quite risky," the Messenger God sighed, then smiled, "But they won’t mind our peering."
With those words, he raised his hand to the void and swiped, activating the power unique to messengers, projecting the ongoing battle for all to see.
As the deity holding the authority of the Messenger, it was natural for him to possess the ability to facilitate the exchange of information. The simplest application was the exchange of letters, a more advanced use was direct face-to-face meetings via screen, and now, he was employing an even higher level of Messenger power.
Anywhere there were people, and a clear coordinate, he could freely observe—
provided no one was preventing it.
"Ah!" The Messenger God suddenly let out a miserable cry, his hands covering his eyes from which Ash Fire gushed forth, his body rolling on the ground in agony.
The deities instinctively retreated, their eyes filled with horror as they watched the flailing Messenger God. Could it be that the King of Ash had traced the connection and was hunting them down?
If that was the case, all the deities present were in danger.
"Ahtal is not a man you can spy on so easily," the Goddess of Lies said nonchalantly, ignoring the flames spewing from the eyes of the Messenger God. She walked over and knelt beside him, knocking on the Messenger God’s head with a karate chop.
The precise karate chop miraculously stopped the fire from spewing from the Messenger God’s eyes.
"The King of Ash himself is a being difficult to observe, any attempt at observation will trigger his pre-set counterattack," she explained.
"Truly a dangerous existence," the Messenger God lowered the hands from his eyes, revealing hollow sockets charred black; his original eyeballs had completely vanished. Faint embers could still be seen burning, preventing his eyes from healing.
"An ordinary being of Universal Level wouldn’t put out such a severe counterattack against snooping," the Goddess of Lies explained, "but the King of Ash knows no such common sense; as long as he is in combat, he would unfold all of his power."
In this world, not just any being can be observed easily—like the Witch of Death during her bath or during other private times.
In short, strong beings that have reached a certain level all have the ability to counteract snooping, which could be life-threatening if done carelessly.
But normally, this counter-snooping isn’t too strong in order to avoid harming allies. Incidents like the Messenger God’s—where a mere glance could burn out eyes—were rare.
The Messenger God lamented, "Had I known, I would’ve let you broadcast the battle instead."
"Remember in the future not to casually spy on Universal Level fighters, especially Universal Level goddesses and witches," the Goddess of Lies advised, her eyes fixed on the projection screen showing the standoff between the King of Ash and the God of Omniscience.
What was to come would be a battle of the ultimate might.
Meanwhile, the Goddess of Wisdom, not too worried about the imminent battle of the strongest, jogged to the side of the Messenger God to inquire with concern.
She had made a wrong judgment, not expecting that a glance at the King of Ash would trigger such a crisis; she had confronted the King of Ash before, but had not sparked such severe consequences.

Lionheart Castle ruins.
Xi Mu stepped on the scorched earth, his gaze calm as he looked at the God of Omniscience across from him, he casually flicked his splitting saber, releasing power that carved a long, narrow crevice in the ground.
It wasn’t an attack, just a casual flick of the blade.
"Descendant of Adam," the voice of the God of Omniscience, unexpectedly tinged with a hint of emotion, stated, "You have personally slaughtered all your ancestors."
Xi Mu responded casually, "They’re no different from being dead. Using them to exchange for information about the God of Omniscience’s powers—wasn’t that incredibly worthwhile?"
The God of Omniscience gazed deeply at the descendant of Adam in front of Him, an Adam’s descendant who had lost all blessings, who, relying on his own abilities, stood before Him at an equal height—an achievement that could be deemed an impossible miracle.
