If he fought the God of Omniscience without burning the Tree of Omniscience, it would indeed drag him into a protracted battle, delaying his time to burn down the world.

Everyone present could not afford to delay, hoping to defeat the God of Omniscience before Ahtal’s humanity was burned away.

Burning the Tree of Omniscience was the best choice.

The reason Ahtal, who was most resistant to the idea of burning the tree, might have agreed to it was probably because he realized his own humanity...could not be maintained for much longer.

If you do not want to burn down the world after losing your humanity, the only right choice is to have nothing after losing your humanity.

Or to choose to sacrifice Eden.

"Why is there still a sense of inevitability to fate?" the extraterritorial demon said, hands covering his forehead, not in a good mood.
