After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 450 - 172: Tower of God_2
The atmosphere grew silent.
This was an almost unsolvable deadlock. By consuming the Three Goddesses of Fate and utilizing their authority to deepen the understanding of fate, it could indeed stimulate Hecate’s rapid growth, but there was no longer enough time.
Ragnarok was less than a year away.
Even though Hecate was exceptionally talented and had the potential to grow omnipotent, that ultimately required time.
And time was what they lacked the most now.
"State your demands," Hecate said calmly. She knew that the Future Goddess had said so much because she wanted to strike a deal with her. Initially, Hecate did not plan to engage with the Future Goddess, but now a certain degree of compromise was indeed necessary.
"We can actively cooperate with you in researching fate, to help you grow as quickly as possible," the Future Goddess stated her conditions, "but I need you to persuade the Witch of Death to stop the war and give me seven days to handle the affairs of the high heavens."
"..." Hecate did not agree immediately, raising her hand to gently touch her lower abdomen, trying to see if she could control the past and the present goddesses. She did not want to easily agree to the Future Goddess, although everything the Future Goddess said was within acceptable limits.
However, she was the Witch who controlled fate herself, deeply understanding how troublesome she could be, and the Future Goddess, who also controlled fate, would surely be the same kind of person.
"At the moment of Ragnarok, time is the most precious resource," the Future Goddess murmured, smiling faintly and lowering her head slightly; her white long hair slid along her fragrant shoulders, covering her pretty face.
She was not surprised that Hecate did not immediately agree; she also knew that Hecate was suspicious of her, and she had to admit that Hecate’s suspicions were reasonable.
After failing to find the God of Omniscience on their own, they abandoned the reliance on finding the God of Omniscience themselves and instead began trying to seek a breakthrough from within the witches.
Once Hecate tore off a corner of fate, they realized that Hecate wanted to grow quickly; whenever there was a chance, she would capture them and use their authority to grow rapidly.
Thus, they invited Ahtal into the high heavens, conveying that they were in retreat searching for the God of Omniscience, and also set up the conflict between Ahtal and the radical faction of the All Gods, diverting the attention of the All Gods.
In this unparalleled opportunity, they were successfully captured by the Witch of Fate, Hecate, and also gained the opportunity to communicate with the Witch of Fate, Hecate.
"I regretfully decline," Hecate said with extreme coldness, observing the astonished expression of the Future Goddess, "You aim to use me to find the God of Omniscience, don’t you?"
Things were never going to be that easy.
The Future Goddess sighed softly; she knew that Hecate, being the Witch of Fate, was not someone whose motives could easily be concealed. If she had not proposed cooperation, it would be fine, but once she initiated cooperation, suspicions about her motive would immediately arise.
"This is not a bad thing for you," she said with a sincere smile, "I simply believe that you will make choices that meet our needs."
When Hecate reached the same level as them and looked towards that unchangeable twilight fate, her way of thinking would surely change.
Unless Hecate was willing to accept the arrival of Ragnarok, willing to watch her disciples that she trained burn into ashes.
Otherwise, she would definitely make choices that suit her interests.
...
...
Realm of Omniscience.
Twin Towers.
Xi Mu pushed on the heavy door, only to find that it couldn’t be opened, as if sealed by some force.
"After the God of Omniscience was sealed," the Goddess of Wisdom explained, "nobody can enter."
"State your conditions," Xi Mu spoke tersely, "or I’ll leave the realm of omniscience and start a massacre outside."
Goddess of Wisdom: "..."
"Not speaking?" Xi Mu turned around, drawing out the Sword of Light, his gaze locked on a tall building at the horizon.
"Can’t you be less impatient?" the Goddess of Wisdom pursed her lips, but saw Ahtal glance at her.
"A woman like you would surely use words to probe extensively, aiming to maximize benefits for herself," he said disdainfully.
"I don’t want to waste words with a woman who is long-winded."
"...Long-winded woman?" The Goddess of Wisdom’s beautiful eyes widened slightly, not expecting Ahtal to call her that. She had had fewer than ten sentences of conversation with Ahtal and yet was already disdained as a long-winded woman.
She fell silent for a moment.
"If you can tell me where the Three Goddesses of Fate are, I can help you open the gate."
Xi Mu was concise, "Open it first."
"..."
The Goddess of Wisdom slightly parted her lips, intending to negotiate terms with Ahtal, when she saw the Sword of Light in Ahtal’s hands glow faintly, appearing to be ready to attack the area outside the Twin Towers.
"Don’t regret it later." She bit her lower lip, suppressed the frustration in her heart, and pushed open the grand doors of the Twin Towers.
This man is utterly unreasonable.
But she couldn’t just watch Ahtal indiscriminately kill the innocent, even though she was very aware that Ahtal was intentionally threatening her.
But she wouldn’t allow the innocent to suffer either.
The doors were pushed open.
"The Three Goddesses of Fate are with my master." Xi Mu gave his answer as he stepped into the Twin Towers.
"And where is your master?" the Goddess of Wisdom asked, feeling a painful tightness in her chest, only to see Ahtal wave his hand dismissively.
"That would be additional information." Xi Mu said as he walked towards the great hall of the Twin Towers, where stone statues on either side turned their heads to look at him, revealing a cold malice.
"These are the guardians of the Twin Towers." The Goddess of Wisdom outside explained, "I have a way to prevent them from attacking outsiders, but..."
Before she could finish, Ahtal’s body erupted into black flames, and he launched an attack on the statues.
The Goddess of Wisdom closed her mouth.
This man had no intention of listening to her. However, the guardians stationed here were modeled after beings who had breached the Twin Towers in the past, and although they weren’t as powerful as their originals, they were stronger than ordinary deities.
"Boom!" Light suddenly surged into the doorway, accompanied by Ahtal’s uninhibited laughter.
The Goddess of Wisdom raised her hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and sighed wearily, silently waiting for Ahtal to exhaust his magic power. If Ahtal were still in his prime, perhaps he could have overcome so many Twin Guardians.
But now Ahtal’s Magic Power was nearly depleted.
...
...
He should be losing right now.
The Goddess of Wisdom silently watched the man standing atop the wreckage of numerous guardians, feeling as if he might be an impersonator of the Destiny Witch, with battle skills that almost seemed to predict the future, dispatching all the guardians in a manner that far exceeded her expectations.
"What were you trying to say earlier?" Xi Mu took out a Magic Potion and drank it down, meanwhile giving the Goddess of Wisdom a puzzled look. He had a strong impression of the Goddess of Wisdom, this well-modeled NPC. Claiming to be a weak woman with no strength, but when she actually fought, she was more troublesome than the God of War. However, her personality was unexpectedly...easy to bully. Just threaten her with innocent people, and as a good person, the Goddess of Wisdom would obediently listen.
And if one were to converse through the Goddess of Wisdom’s sophistry, one would end up tormented by her words. That woman would definitely use her rhetoric to gain the utmost advantage.
So the best way to handle her was to threaten with innocent people.
"The Twin Towers have a tradition of creating puppets based on those who have breached in the past," the Goddess of Wisdom adjusted her mindset, "The higher you go, the stronger the guardians, and in your current state, it’s impossible for you to enter the residence of the God of Omniscience."
She revealed a soft, beautiful smile.
"I have a way..."
"No need." Xi Mu threw away the bottle in his hand, then proceeded to the higher levels under the gaze of the Goddess of Wisdom.
"This place still holds puppets modeled after the Witch of Death." The Goddess of Wisdom quickened her pace to catch up to Ahtal, trying to scare this disciple of the Witch of Death.
However.
"Wouldn’t that be even better?" Xi Mu laughed, quickening his pace, "I’ve long wanted to face Lady Witch of Death herself."
The Goddess of Wisdom: "..."
This guy’s thought processes are not normal.
