After The Abyss Dragon Woke Up-Chapter 104.3
Deception and Betrayal Must End in Blood and Slaying (3)
Shi An heard the wind whistling in his ears.
He flew very high, already higher than the thick black volcanic clouds below.
Not far away, one could faintly see the scarlet crater currently spraying flames and black smoke outward.
Things happened too fast.
It was like he was standing behind a pile of treasure and looking up at the sky one second, and the next second, Shi An turned back into his original form, looking down at the flames and corpses and…
The speed of Shi An’s flight slowed down.
Mu Heng’s expression flickered in his mind.
For some reason, he was suddenly a little sad.
Perhaps because there was no longer a way to curl up in a nest made of human embrace, or probably because after losing the identity of Shi An, he had no more ice cream to eat…
Shi An composed himself and got rid of this thought with annoyance.
Whatever.
There was nothing to be done since it was gone.
He could find a lava crater to make a nest in the future and the temperature was much warmer than humans. If he wanted to eat something, he could grab it back. Anyway, he was powerful. He might be able to have more ice cream to eat in the future.
Shi An flew in the direction of the crater.
The volcano could not erupt, or that volcanic crater below would be flooded.
His treasures were still there.
Other than that, there was absolutely no other reason.
After all, besides the treasure, he did not care much about the rest.
Trying to suppress the volcano’s eruption was much more challenging than catalyzing the process.
Shi An initially tried to press it back, but he soon realized that this was almost impossible to accomplish, so he changed his strategy. He began to dig into the rock with his claws, guiding the searing lava to trickle in the opposite direction of the volcanic crater. 𝘳ÂꞐꝊ𐌱Ěș
After his two claws were dyed by the volcanic ash into a gray puff color, no longer looking like the usual silvery white, the plan was finally completed.
Red lava flowed with a trace of gold coils, erupting from the crater toward Aiwen Snowfield.
Rolling hot magma and bluish-white snow and ice collided. The magma gurgled and became scorched black, dry, and hard. The snowfields thawed and froze at low temperatures. More magma came rushing again, and so on, until the volcano’s violent eruption became slow and gentle, no longer a threat.
Shi An flapped his wings and stood still in the volcanic crater.
He felt a sharp pain only moments after landing.
“Ouch!”
The dragon let out a cry of pain and hurriedly flew back up.
He lowered his head and looked toward his right claw.
There was a deep, massive indentation across the claw from tip to center, and the silver-white scales were mixed with blood and mud, dripping down.
The blood containing magic power fell into the magma, instantly stirring up a small burst again.
Only then did Shi An vaguely remember that he seemed to hold something sharp and hard with his hand when he woke up, and this wound seemed to be left at that time.
But for some reason, he didn’t feel it much when digging into the rocks just now.
It hurts.
It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!
Shi An carefully blew air into his paw.
Hot wind swept through the wound, and he could not help but shudder in pain, unable to resist tearing up.
Large tears fell from his eyes and could not be stopped.
The one-legged dragon buried his head into the wings, tail wilted down, and sobbed.
Owwwwww, it hurts.

Zhuo Fu crouched on the ground with an ashen face mixed with half-dried blood and dust, looking both bewildered and wretched, his eyes empty like a lost dog.
Behind him, the remaining members of the Bureau were counting the wounded and disposing of the bodies.
And not far behind him, Wen Yao was arguing fiercely with Mu Heng about something.
To be precise, it was Wen Yao debating.
“… We must report Shi An’s matter to the superior, sir.”
Her face was hideous as if she had been beaten up hard. “I never imagined the dragon would hide for so long by our side, listening to our plans… No wonder we never got any clues about the dragon’s human identity. It’s merely the principle of darkness under the light.”
“This is a humiliation to the Bureau and the human race.”
Wen Yao’s voice was icy and harsh. Zhuo Fu had never heard the other side speak in such a terrible voice before.
“You can hand over this matter to me. I will get in touch with the superiors.”
Zhuo Fu was a bit lost in thought.
Wen Yao’s idea was too ordinary. To be frank, everyone who witnessed that sight thought the same thing.
But… the one who should feel this sense of anger as if they were betrayed, fooled, and insulted the most was not them—
Zhuo Fu lifted his eyes and looked toward Mu Heng.
From the beginning, Mu Heng did not say a word at all.
His expression was as cold as ice and snow, carrying a terrifying hostility, but his face held no emotion in it.
No matter how carefully Zhuo Fu scrutinized, he could not see what the other party was thinking. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
As long as Mu Heng wanted to, he could control his emotions without any slip, not allowing anyone to perceive what he was thinking in his heart, without even a trace to guess.
Zhuo Fu also really could not guess.
Especially when the other party was still a dragon slayer…
This made it nearly impossible to conceive exactly what Mu Heng was thinking.
“The Shi family must be thoroughly investigated. In addition to that, all the places where Shi An has lived, all the humans who are therefore related to him and have been touched by him, must be controlled–”
Wen Yao’s voice rang out again, dragging Zhuo Fu back to reality from his swaying mind.
