After Rebirth, the Celebrity Daughter is the Medical Expert!-Chapter 56 - 52: My Younger Brother Is Born
"It’s not a solution to keep feeling pain like this."
You Guang fed Xia Youqing chicken soup slowly and continued asking the doctor, "Doctor, if the birth canal doesn’t open by noon, will the baby be in danger?"
The doctor looked at everyone present and said, "There’s a possibility."
As noon approached.
Xia Youqing was in so much pain she couldn’t make a sound, keeping herself alive by chewing on a piece of old ginseng.
This ginseng was brought by little Youyou from Xia residence.
She had high pillows under her, and the amniotic fluid was flowing even more fiercely.
The medical staff also began to worry about the safety of the baby and the mother, discussing various possibilities with the Xie family couple. By noon, the mother was taken into the operating room.
Outside the operating room.
Ning Youguang was quietly chanting scriptures for his mom and brother, praying for their peace.
Xie Baosheng was anxiously pacing around.
More than half an hour later.
You Guang heard the clear cry of a baby coming from the delivery room.
Xie Baosheng suddenly collapsed at the door of the delivery room, his eyes red.
Grandma Xie was very pleased, continuously murmuring, "Bodhisattva bless, Bodhisattva bless," while supporting her son up: "Dear, everyone’s safe."
A few minutes later, a doctor came out holding a baby, whose whole body was red and skin wrinkled.
"Congratulations Mr. Xie, it’s a healthy boy, weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces."
Grandma Xie took a big red envelope out of the handbag and stuffed it to the doctor holding the baby, then gathered around to see the little one.
"A pretty baby," she laughed, her mouth never closing.
Xie Baosheng and Ning Youguang rushed into the delivery room, just in time for the doctor to push Xia Youqing out.
"Honey, you worked hard," Xie Baosheng said quietly into Xia Youqing’s ear.
"Doctor, was Qingqing’s delivery smooth?" Ning Youguang asked the doctor.
This time, mom went into the operating room relatively early and came out quickly too, so there shouldn’t be any problems, she speculated while assessing Xia Youqing’s complexion.
Seeing that Xia Youqing’s post-delivery condition was indeed much better than in her past life, she felt relieved.
"The mother had some bleeding initially, but it was quickly stopped. We’ll need to observe the mother for two hours to confirm whether she’s out of danger — she shouldn’t sleep during these two hours."
Xia Youqing was still under anesthesia, able to hear outside conversations but unable to make sounds.
The words she spoke were all breathy.
"Cold."
She drowsily wanted to sleep but felt cold to the bone.
"What’s wrong, honey, what are you saying?" Xie Baosheng.
"Uncle, Qingqing says she’s cold," Ning Youguang.
"Just after surgery, the mother is quite weak, indeed will feel cold," the doctor added.
When Xia Youqing was readjusted in a luxurious ward, covered with two thick down quilts, she kept saying she was cold, shivering all over.
Ning Youguang reached into the quilt to touch her body, finding her soaked with sweat, as if fished out of water.
Seeing Xia Youqing drowsily drifting to sleep, You Guang and Xie Baosheng kept reminding her not to sleep.
Once Xia Youqing was no longer shivering from the cold and felt slightly better, they let her fall asleep.
When the medical staff and maternity nurses changed Xia Youqing’s clothes.
You Guang finally had the thought to go upstairs to see the brother kept in the incubator.
Grandma Xie had been guarding by the incubator since her little grandson came out, staring at him without blinking.
Seeing You Guang coming over, she smiled and said to her:
"You, brother looks like mom, so handsome."
Ning Youguang knew Grandma Xie and Xie Baosheng were fervent appearance enthusiasts, so he followed up complimenting:
"The ears and forehead resemble Uncle Xie, also very handsome."
"Yes, the ears and forehead are like my dear; he’ll have good fortune after," You Guang’s words directly pleased Grandma Xie.
Grandma Xie instantly laughed heartily.
You Guang also laughed.
She clung to the incubator, looking at the brother inside who knew nothing, sleeping with his backside sticking out.
Examining his tiny features closely, she indeed found he looked exactly like her brother from a past life.
This cheeky boy surely would grow well.
The only nice features of his dad’s face were the forehead and ears, yet he inherited just those two areas, while the rest copied his mom, nicely combining their excellent genes and finally improving the genes of the Xie family.
He was adorable from a young age and grew to stay attractive.
This was the reason he received so much affection from his grandma and dad no matter his mischief later.
When Xie Baosheng found time to come up to see his son.
