Chapter 707: 496, Ancestor’s Soul, Receive Experience Card
In the living room, divided by the Magic Guide Lamp on the ceiling, the two sides stood distinctly apart.
“Mr. Knut, what business do you have with Lulu?”
Lin Da tried to maintain politeness.

He stealthily glanced at the three Frost Wolf Warriors behind Knut. The faint aura they exuded was enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.
Lin Da was aware that Knut was at the Light Rank, but he hadn’t expected the other three Frost Wolves to also be Light Rank.
Mobilizing four Light Ranks—clearly, this was not a friendly visit.
If they bore ill intent toward the Phoenix Tail Flower, Lin Da had no Experience Card to rely on.
A newly advanced Level 50 Light Rank might still manage to put up a fight, but facing four Light Ranks was like infants going up against grown men—utterly futile.
Suppressing this helplessness in his heart, Lin Da instructed Tasya to serve tea to the guests.
“No need for tea. I’ll get straight to the point. Once the business is done, we’ll leave immediately.” Knut rose abruptly.
The three Frost Wolf Warriors stood up in unison.
Under Knut’s lead, they walked directly up to Lulu.
Knut dropped to one knee. “Your Highness, please return to the tribe with us and inherit the Ancestor’s Soul!”
With that, the four Light Ranks knelt down in unison.
Lulu was dumbstruck, frozen in place with a look of confusion and helplessness.
Lin Da and Kafni were equally stunned.
“Lulu has such a background?!”
Lin Da’s thoughts were in turmoil.
In the game, Lulu was a Four-Star Character with limited storyline text, leaving much ambiguity. But in the real Mystic Realm, every ambiguous detail was filled in.
Lulu seemed to have been “filled in” as an important figure in the Frostwolf Tribe.
Seeing the disbelief on Lulu’s face, Knut stated resolutely, “Your Highness Lulu, this matter is beyond doubt. This Magic-guided Device contains the blood of the Frost Wolf King and reacts only to someone of the bloodline. I followed its guidance to find you!”
Knut produced a crystal disk, inside of which the tadpole-like strands of red blood surged desperately toward Lulu.
Worried that Lulu might still doubt him, Knut added, “The Wolf King once told this old servant that you bear a scar on your left shoulder, one he engraved on you so you could be found in the future. This cannot be wrong, can it?”
Lulu’s body wavered as she took a step back.
Lin Da hurriedly supported her.
From Knut’s words, it was clear: Lulu’s father was the current Frost Wolf King!
The team was dumbfounded. To think their close companion, with whom they shared daily battles, had such a noble lineage… Though the Frost Wolf King wasn’t on par with the Coldmoon Duke, he was still a prominent figure on the Mystic Continent.
Monica said nervously, “Sister Lulu, are you leaving us?”
Tasya: “You can’t leave. The more warriors we have, the better.”
Taige and Mingli, the two new team members, were eating their popcorn with curious expressions.
Knut elaborated on the whole story, and everyone finally understood.
Years ago, during internal strife within the Frostwolf Tribe, Lulu’s father sent his seven children across various provinces to preserve the bloodline. Only after the conflict ended and he ascended to the position of Frost Wolf King did he send people to retrieve them using the Magic-guided Device.
Knut let out a long sigh at this point:
“Of those retrieved, only three survived, and none of them passed the Ancestor Trial.
Now, it seems Your Highness Lulu is likely the sole remaining descendant of the Frost Wolf King’s bloodline.
This old servant beseeches you: for the sake of reviving our tribe, please, no matter what, accept the Ancestor’s Soul!
The Ancestor’s Soul must have an inheritor!”
Lulu wavered, her expression hesitant.
“Volgan calls himself the Young Wolf King, doesn’t he? Why not let him take on the inheritance?” Lin Da frowned.
He wasn’t deaf to the danger of inheriting the Ancestor’s Soul. The previous three Frost Wolves had all met their end; it was only because of this that they had waited so long to come for Lulu.
In truth, what the Frostwolf Tribe valued wasn’t Lulu herself, but her bloodline.
Every time Lin Da saw the grotesque scar on Lulu’s left shoulder during their intimate moments, his heart ached. Now he understood—it was the bloody Frost Wolf King who had carved it for the sake of marking his children for later retrieval.
To treat their offspring as mere items—it was outrageous.
Knut ignored the icy expression on Lin Da’s face and said urgently, “Your Highness Lulu, Volgan is merely an adopted son of the Frost Wolf King. His bloodline is impure, and the chance of him successfully inheriting the Ancestor’s Soul is slim.
When this old servant used the Magic-guided Device to find you, it reacted more strongly than ever before. Among the seven children of the Frost Wolf King, you possess the most exceptional bloodline!
I swear, you’ll certainly be able to safely inherit the Ancestor’s Soul.
This means you’ll face no bottlenecks on the path to becoming a Legendary Adventurer!
Moreover, the Frost Wolf King is aging, and without a new ruler, the tribes will inevitably spiral back into the chaos of two decades ago.
For the lives of a million Frost Wolves, I beg you to return with me and become the new king!”
These words sent a ripple through all members of the Phoenix Tail Flower.
To inherit the Ancestor’s Soul and walk an unhindered path to legendary status—this was almost too astonishing.
However, according to the Adventurer’s Code, risk equals reward.
Such a precious inheritance would undoubtedly come with enormous risks—likely a matter of nine deaths and one survival.
“I disagr—” Lin Da began to object, but before he could finish, Lulu interrupted him, fixing Knut with a piercing gaze. “Can you truly guarantee that I’ll successfully inherit the Ancestor’s Soul?”
“If Your Highness fails, this old servant is willing to die alongside you.” Knut declared solemnly.
“Lulu, what are you planning to do?” Lin Da asked anxiously.
Lulu contemplated for a long while.
“You once promised not to abandon anyone and to lead us to the top of the World Tree.”
“I did.” Lin Da nodded.
Lulu smiled faintly and stared silently out at the towering World Tree visible through the window. “But I don’t want to become a burden to the team. Monica has powerful magic bursts, Taige is stronger than me and can perfectly replace my role as a warrior. Mingli may be weak now, but he shows great promise for the future.
