Chapter 524: 394, all team captains overwhelmingly superior, showcasing the strength of White Dove City_2
“Dammit!”
Wol wiped away the blood trickling from his nose, adopting a defensive stance warily.
Even though they had clashed only once, Wol was certain he was no match for this young girl!
Both from the Wolf Tribe, Wol felt an oppressive pressure from her bloodline, his Battle Qi trembling like a cat encountering a tiger, curling up tightly, completely disobedient to his commands.
That azure fur, could it be the Frost Wolf Clan of the far north…
Without time to think further, shimmering claws icy with cold light lunged at Wol!
...
…
The fiercest scene, however, was at the center of the battlefield.
Over thirty Star Rank warriors clashed together, magic flying back and forth in the air, the ground smoking from bombardments, adventurers screaming continuously, and individuals being blasted away every few seconds.
Yet notably, despite frequent severe injuries, there were seldom fatalities, as each side had positioned a Star Rank healer dressed in white, tasked with rescue.
In non-lethal conflicts, attacking medical personnel was strictly forbidden. Conversely, any adventurer touched by medical personnel must cease fighting immediately, using Teleportation Stones to return to their city after receiving healing.
Surveying the battlefield, the numbers might have been against the folks from White Dove City, but a few powerful adventurers had turned the tides, balancing the battle of fewer against many.
Lia’s great sword had become the nightmare of Red Heart City, blocking two Star Rank adversaries and firmly maintaining the upper hand.
Isa confronted Celina, her thin sword driving the latter back in clear retreat, complaints abounding.
Kafni faced off against Timo, the only one from the Phoenix Tail Flower to fall into disadvantage. Kafni, who typically eschewed training for indulgence in pleasures, had her strength fall short of even the average Star Rank, getting pricked all over by Timo’s “Blow Dart” skill, clutching her head and spinning, calling for Lin Da’s support.
Among everyone, Lin Da was the busiest.
He had to use his Group Healing and Verdant Shield to level the disparity in numbers as much as possible, then employ Venom Magic Sphere and Toxic Purple Mist to harass the adventurers of Red Heart City.
Otherwise, even he couldn’t withstand the assault of a multitude of Star Rank warriors all at once, every bit of his magic power had to be carefully allocated to those who would benefit most.
The endlessly powerful Lia, Isa with her precise and graceful frost swordsmanship, Klrona, not high ranked but with outstanding defensive power, capable of blocking numerous skills from the opposition, and the elite Frost Wolf warrior Lulu… It wasn’t that Lin Da wasn’t healing Kafni, it was just more beneficial to give his abilities to the aforementioned warriors.
At the same moment, within White Dove City’s viewing tower, the audience was somewhat dazed.
White Dove City’s adventurers, outnumbered by those from Red Heart City by twofold, were pressing the opposition?
The team captain of Tomorrow’s Claw, Wol, was evidently dazed by Lulu, frantically running with his tail between his legs.
Isa defeating Celina was just a matter of time.
Lia could handle two on one…
Monica’s Earth Bombardment was visibly fierce to even a baby, one blast per agile warrior, powerful enough to be suspected as a Rare Technique.
Within the chaos, Monica, maintaining a safe distance for her attacks, was undoubtedly a top-level adventurer.
“That Lin Da is something else…”
Sterry’s face lost its smile, frowning as she watched the young man with black hair who was commanding on the screen.
The adventurers healed by Lin Da instantly became vigorous; Red Heart City’s front line had already lost two, whereas those from White Dove City were mostly unscathed.
The pink-haired twin-tailed girl even willingly received the magic bombardment from Red Heart City.
The number of times an adventurer could receive healing in a battle was limited; it wasn’t as if a bunch of healers simultaneously healing one person could make that person invincible. The more frequent the healing spells received in a short period, the less effective they became.
The essence of the healing art was to stimulate an adventurer’s core, acting as a kind of heart-boosting drug with taxing properties.
Considering this, the healing amount of each individual treatment was critically important.
The heavy armored warriors of Red Heart City had their healers, resembling lunatics, applying healing non-stop, causing the effects to decrease progressively.
While the pink-haired girls and others were all in [Healthy] condition.
That meant they received fewer healing instances but the amount of each was substantial.
Most likely, a single [Group Healing] by Lin Da nearly recovered them completely!
Sterry took a sip of water to calm herself, speaking to her brother Rudy, “I told you that adventurers with Nine-Star Potential are no simple matter, didin’t I? You wouldn’t believe me.”
Rudy stubbornly retorted with a huff, “But the ones winning are still from Red Heart City, eh? I admit Lin Da’s support abilities are decent, but his intellect is just average.”
Sterry cocked her head.
“Rudy is not wrong,”
Wez interjected, “With that many uses of healing spells, how much magic power must he have consumed? That adventurer named Slo, he’s been conserving his strength. He’s waiting, waiting for Lin Da to be completely exhausted.”
The large number of people was Red Heart City’s biggest advantage; they could gradually wear down Lin Da and his team’s stamina.
“White Dove City is only temporarily ahead.”
Wez’s words were like a prophecy. No sooner had he spoken than the situation on the screen changed.
“Wind Flow Arrow!”
In the ranks of Red Heart City, Fry shot an arrow with a spiral airflow.
He and two Mages, in perfect coordination, chose the same target to attack.
The arrow and two fireballs slammed into the Heavy Armored Warrior Aim.
Aim didn’t have time to defend and was sent flying with a cry of “Ah!”
Aim’s brother, Aiken, rushed to save him but was attacked from behind by two Spearmen, piercing his waist and severely wounding him.
Medics shuttled across the battlefield, carrying the injured away.
With the defeat of the brothers Aim and Aiken, the tide of battle suddenly shifted, and the adventurers of Red Heart City attacked frenziedly, as if injected with a boost of energy!
Lin Da frowned, finally feeling a bit of pressure.
He looked toward the ranks of Red Heart City, at a tall, beast-like black man.
That man was casually eating watermelon, even leisurely licking the juice off his fingers.
He seemed completely unconcerned by the intensity of the battle. Many of Red Heart City’s injured passed by him without him so much as blinking an eye.
Noticing Lin Da’s gaze, Slo scoffed, lightly squeezing the watermelon in his hand till it burst, spilling juice everywhere.
He pointed at Lin Da and then to the shattered watermelon on the ground, a scornful smile playing on his lips.
Slo, known as “Power King,” rated Eight Stars by Adventurer’s Weekly.
Lin Da remained composed, his mind as still as an ancient well.
Objectively speaking, he could take on Slo, but the others from White Dove City couldn’t. Apart from a few elites like Lia and Isa, the others would simply be crushed facing Slo.
Before the opponent moved, Lin Da needed to help the people of White Dove City even out the numerical disadvantage.
This also resulted in Lin Da’s magic power being depleted by thirty percent just three minutes into the battle.
“Partner, this is Red Heart City’s open strategy; don’t worry about us, we can handle it ourselves!”
Oru roared, swinging his hammers and sending a Swordsman from Red Heart City flying, calling out to Lin Da.
Lin Da knew Oru was right, but standing by and not helping injured teammates was not his style.
“Oru, I’m sending your words right back at you; don’t worry about me, take care of yourself first!”

Lin Da silently uttered a Spell, casting an Intermediate Healing Spell that fully restored Oru’s health.
Oru paused, then said helplessly, “Right, anyone who could just leave their teammates behind isn’t you!”
With a twin hammer strike, he sent another Star Rank from Red Heart City flying through the air.
Oru was only level 31, but with the aid of Lin Da’s healing and the Verdant Shield, he had already defeated two Star Ranks alone.
“It’s over.”
Moments later, Isa’s eyes gleamed as she sidestepped an attack from Celina’s whip.
She surged forward like a fish darting through the water, her sword aimed straight at Celina’s chest.
“No!” Celina paled, raising her hands in surrender.
“You may leave the field.” Isa was saying this when suddenly, she felt a cold breeze at her side.
She turned her head and saw a towering black man, as large as a steel tower.
When had he approached?
Isa was shocked, a heavy sense of oppression slowing her breath.
She hadn’t noticed him approaching at all, like a black bear skilled in killing hidden in the jungle.
His eyes did not hold a fighting spirit, but a brutal intent to kill!
A sense of foreboding filled Isa, knowing his strength far surpassed that of the Purple-White Adventure Team’s leader, Celina!
